I think the white players either have Republican mindsets, since most of them are Southern or Texan, or they're just not politically aware and don't experience the racist sentiment that the black players feel from Trump, or the anti-immigrant, anti-Latino mindset, which is Trump's White House and base. White Americans are more likely to see the White House visit as a prestige event, whereas players from other countries and Puerto Rico would not care.

The guy in OPs pic is Alex Cora. He isn't a player, he's the manager of the Red Sox and from a town in Puerto Rico devastated by the hurricane. He's done a great deal of relief work down there and I knew as soon as the Sox won, he would feel conflicted. Many players on the Red Sox are Latino too. Pro baseball teams are very segregated. The white players usually hail from the South and are pretty redneck and don't hang out with the Latinos. The African American players are in the middle, but Trump has pushed them to side more with their Latino counterparts.

I've taught many d1 athletes. I am surprised that more white players do not join the protest with their black teammates based on what I know from a pretty close vantage point. White student athletes are much more clued into racial issues than other white students.
