Look at the photo. Even she's surprised.

Her show is very easy to watch, very soothing.

Lovvvee her!!!

I don't begrudge her this. She's worked for a long time. She's good at that job -- she's very natural as a host. No one ever has a bad word to say about her. Let her have her daytime Emmy.

I googled and she did win two awards: Best Culinary Program and Best Culinary Program Host. Good for her.

Poor Patti Jinich is always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

To me Val is sort of the Anti-Giada. Where Giada is brittle and fake and try-hard and spoiled rich girl, Val is warm and funny and self-aware and authentic and even glam thanks to her showbiz past.
Good for her. It’s cool to see older folks successfully reinvent themselves, particularly when they’re doing something they enjoy.

You're right R12. For God's sake, she's Valerie Bertinelli. She's worked for decades, re-invented herself a couple of times. She's been married just twice, her spawn Wolfie (as far as I know) isn't an embarrassment.
Right now she has a successful frau program (one downside/surprise for me is that her friends are it's incredibly caucasian) that, as someone upthread posted, is easy to watch and entertaining.

She finally peaked!

It's all downhill from here, gurl!

Her reaction when she got the first Emmy was "Holy Shit." On the next win she promised not to curse.

She's one of the few women on TV who reminds me of the women in my family.

I loved her on Hot in Cleveland. Ive always liked her in whatever she does, she just seems so relatable . She was adorable in her youth and shes cute as a bug now. You know that girl has had some primo dick in her day!

She got married pretty young to Eddie Van Halen. Then divorced while middle-aged. Not sure when she squeezed in all the “primo dick.” Maybe while married to EVH.

She’s fat.

I thought she won Too awards.
