I think I found Vanilla Ice’s exotic vacation home. What sayeth the Datalounge?
Dreadful. Most of that color and tilework is just poorly applied lipstick on characterless recent construction. And don't let "Houston, TX" fool you. 77082 is a 45-minute (minimum) drive to the center of town.

Hilarious.

i’m part-colorblind, so honestly i could abide everything except the black walls and ceilings. especially for that price.
a lot of the “artwork” would disappear over time with sweat equity.

If only AHS had another season...

Horrific decor aside, Houston a vacation destination?

I’m speechless! I thought that last one with all the faux painting was bad but this is worse.

Someone's been tweakin'!

Imagine how much work it took to make so much ugliness.

MARY!!! Hand me my smelling salts and get the fainting couch! I feel like I have entered a perpetually very badly designed Mexican Taqueria that barely passes the health code. This is how you blind people.
Imagine getting drunk/high there--You wouldn't survive the night and puke everywhere. HANG THIS DESIGNER FROM THE GUILLOTINE!

This is what hell must look like for the bad gays...
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 5, 2019 7:51 PM |
No thanks.
The price is right but - pass. I do not want to be called.

It looks like it was built and decorated by a bunch of satan-worshipping hippies. Implode immediately and try again.

The realtor gets an "E" for effort for the descriptions.
It's also everywhere.
Most of the time when people do stuff like this it's one or two rooms which are easily remodeled.
But even a teardown wouldn't fix that back yard.

I would love to see it with all the owners furniture, it must have been a real AHS.

Ice must rejoice in the fate of former nemesis Suge Knight.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 5, 2019 8:46 PM |
I don’t hate it. I could make the tiles work. Not the black walls, though.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 5, 2019 8:49 PM |
The mixed and interwoven tiles are actually beautiful, and might be rather fabulous if someone with a talent for decorating painted over the BLACK, TURQUOISE, ORANGE, AND FUCKING HOT PINK WALLS. And that hideous mural in the back yard. And pulled all the frou-frou out of the bathrooms.
Imagine a place with that kind of interesting tilework painted in mellow shades of cream, with simple yet somewhat eccentric furnishings and light fixtures, and the mosaic back yard filled with flowering potted plants and comfortable garden furniture. Loving gay hands could turn this place from a seizure-inducing nightmare to a lovely unusual home, if someone wanted to devote years of their life to the project.

Not only ugly but fugly!!! My eyes hurt after looking at 25 pics of that crap. The owner should have went for adobe. Those tiled steps and mix matched tiles all in the kitchen turned my stomach. It's been listed for over 200 days, it will be foreclosed before it sells. What a waste of money.

Never in my imagination... Another Texas masterpiece!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 6, 2019 12:34 AM |
Oh.My.God. As alarming as all that is, I will give them props for the work that must have taken. And though it's not my idea of creativity - it is creative.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 6, 2019 4:18 AM |
So I'm the only one who thinks that all that tile work could be made into a beautiful home, if redone with some taste and restraint, if a bit of whimsey?
Of course, not the huge "mural" in the back yard. Nothing to do about that but pull it down, or put plants in front of it.
