I know these two are not DL faves, but..
For a big man Kevin James is a good physical comedian.
And the hated Andy Dick when he had a career was very funny at physical comedy.

Laverne and Shirley did some wonderful scenes that deserve to be more highly regarded.

On Three's Company, Cindy and John Ritter played physically well off each other.

How did Melissa McCarthy at the OP do four consecutive staircase tumbles live?
The last one was a whopper.
But the best part was her facial expressions on landing.

Buster Keaton doing breathtaking stunts for comic effect.
If I’d been alive in the silent era, I’d have had a crush on him as much as in Valentino.

Keaton.
Maybe if Van Damme has been a comedian...

There is a subverted elegance in a top-grade pratfall.

I always thought Van Damme WAS a comedian. His "acting" has always been hilarious.

How does a live show like SNL work to show two different “sets” within a single sketch?
What did the live audience see in between the Melissa McCarthy bits? Watching her get up and reposition herself would take a lot of humor out of it for me.

Marion Lorne as Aunt Clara.
Different comic actors use different characteristics to pull it off.
Lorne was genius at “bumbling.”

The young Carol Burnett and Barbra Streisand. Martha Raye. Betty Hutton.

Titus is fantastic, so is Rowan Atkinson. Buster Keaton and Melissa McCarthy go without saying.
Here’s a dark horse candidate Sean Hayes. Megan Mullaly is great too, but Sean is fantastic at little moments.
