This movie is so cheesy looking. It's not even the "so bad it's good " type of cheesy. As for the casting of Duff, I understand they won't be able to find an actress as beautiful as Tate but can't they at least cast someone with a similar bone structure? And it's not like Duff is such a talented actress that she can overcome the lack of physical resemblance.

I, actually, watched this a few weeks ago.…I've seen worse? I'm not terribly familiar with the details of the actual events so I don't know what was made up, besides the fantasy ending. It seemed like a strange choice to focus on the part of the story that wasn't really story, I mean, she's just kind of there waiting, waiting for Roman, waiting to have her baby, waiting for the creepy houseguests to leave, waiting, waiting. Meanwhile, what we don't see much of at all is the lunatics hatching their plan. I kind of liked that they implicated Roman knew what was afoot and maybe had a hand in setting it up, but I don't know if that's fair to him or not. Anyway, it just seemed like they avoided telling the actual story in favor of watching Duff waddle more and more anxiously in a sun blind haze until the lunatics finally burst in.

R50 The movie is pretty much fabricated, it's nothing like the real story. The part about Roman knowing ahead of time was a falsehood thrown in by the director because they knew that the movie would be pilloried if it portrayed him in a even slightly sympathetic light. There's nothing to indicate that he had prior knowledge.

I surprisingly thought the trailer was well-made. The movie is probably terrible, but for low-budget, tasteless garbage, they made it look halfway nicely made.
