They make you laugh, or condescend, or you think they might be true!
I know it's not true, but I have to believe the Amelia Earhart survived her top secret spying ordeal in the Pacific, and returned to the United States and lived the rest of her life as former pilot and bank manager, Irene Bolam. It just feels right to me.

Something that turned out to be true:
The Canadian government developed a Gaydar machine in the 1950s to point out the sneaky homosexuals so they could be fired.

I really enjoy the Philadelphia Experiment. I don't believe it, but the story fascinates me. They made a movie about it in the 80s and there was lots of eye candy.

Putting on my Doctor Evil mask...
My favorite conspiracy theory is the Sandy Hook false-flag crisis actor theory floated by Alex Jones. It reveals that Americans don't care about children in the slightest. It shows that when the decision is between letting crazy people buy guns and keeping babies safe, we choose the crazies. It undermines Christian philosophy to the point of making a mockery of everything that the right has held dear for the last hundred years. Unless, of course, I'm mistaken and "family values" means not just letting but actively encouraging certifiably insane people acquire weapons of mass destruction.

Lady Gaga's Mafia-connected family had Lina Morgana pushed from the roof of a building so she could completely take over her budding career, including songs and image. This one is pretty plausible if you do some Google sleuthing.

The British luxury liner RMS Lusitania was violating World War I rules of engagement when it hid and transported ammunition and war supplies along with civilian passengers as it crossed into a war zone. Germany knew this was occurring and advertised warnings to potential passengers to avoid the cruise liner as it was one of their possible targets.
Germany torpedoed and sank the ship in 1915, which gave justification for America's later entry into the war. Some speculate that British leaders were aware that if a ship carrying Americans were to sink, America would enter the war as their ally. This leads to the conspiracy theory that the ship was both a Trojan horse and a sitting duck.
[quote]The British luxury passenger liner RMS Lusitania was torpedoed a century ago. The sinking was deemed an atrocity of war and encouraged American intervention in World War I. But the ship was carrying munitions through a war zone and left unprotected by the Royal Navy. The “Great War” was a thoroughly modern conflict, enshrouded in government lies.

That gay/lesbian organizations such as HRC and GLAAD realized that after DADT ended and same-sex marriage was legalized, there would be a decline in financial support as nearly all the battles for gay rights had been achieved, so they turned their focus to trans issues, not fully aware of how misogynistic and homophobic the ideology is, and it has gotten out of their control.

President Kennedy regularly mainlined meth and other drugs while in office. He was perceived to be out-of-control and the CIA assassinated him.
President Kennedy was severely incapacitated by physical infirmities such as Addison's disease and debilitating back pain. He turned to the now-infamous Dr. Max Jacobson for treatment, which included injections of "vitamins" which were actually methamphetamine and other drugs. This is all true, no conspiracy. Jackie was also being treated by Dr. Jacobson, as were many celebrity and sports figures of the day.
White House records show that Dr Jacobson visited the White House dozens of times and even traveled with President Kennedy for his first meeting with Khrushchev. Khrushchev, possibly aware of Kennedy's infirmities and treatments thanks to KGB intelligence, showed up so late to the meeting that Kennedy had by then forced the doctor to give him two extra injections after his initial dose wore off.
Kennedy stumbled and slurred his way through the meeting and some speculate that his apparent weakness emboldened Khrushchev and led to his building of the Berlin Wall and selling missiles to Cuba, which resulted in the Cuban Missile Crisis.
All of this is known, no conspiracy, yet. There are allusions to it in the second season of The Crown, though they fictionalize the story and focus more on Jackie's issues.
The conspiracy is that the CIA and FBI were not only well-aware of Kennedy's infirmities, but also his treatments, and that it was a "deep state" (as people now say) fear that the country was being led by a drug-addled sex addict whose indiscriminate liaisons with mob girlfriends and un-vetted call-girls were major security issues. What would later become the myth of Camelot was hanging by a thread as Kennedy's condition continued to deteriorate.
It is then theorized that in order to mitigate the possible damage caused by such a significantly compromised leader, it was the responsibility of these inside-forces to neutralize the threat, which meant assassinating Kennedy. Some say that Kennedy had long been rid of Dr. Jacobson and that he was no longer under the influence of his injections, but he was still heavily medicated throughout his presidency.
Although I don't necessarily embrace this conspiracy, it does provide a more believable motive for Kennedy's assassination than Oswald's supposed communist ties. I never found any compelling motivation for Oswald's actions.

Madeline McCann was ‘stolen’ by people working for the “1%/US/UK Govt” for her unique eye coloboma and its containment of the Pax2 gene contributing to an overactive adrenal gland (and accelerated sexual organ development), which produces adenochrome iof the purest and most life enhancing (ie you’ll live forever) quality.
They had been trying to ‘take’ her for a while, hence Kate screaming out “they’ve taken her” when she was taken. Gerry may or may not be somewhat culpable as he had been contemplating ‘selling’ her for a while and had set the whole thing up with or without Kate’s knowledge (likely ‘with.’) As they are doctors, they probably still have access to her but obviously have to keep the whole charade up. As is irrefutable, they had immediate govt intervention the second she went missing.

Favorite conspiracy: That the proliferation of wild-eyed and wacky conspiracy theories is part of a larger conspiracy to discredit anyone who has actual information and proof about real conspiracies. Essentially the flood of crazy is proof that the crazy is true.
Most disturbing conspiracy theories that turned out to be true:
- Project Sunshine: The government was stealing body parts of dead people without consent in order to conduct tests on radioactivity, primarily of deceases children and babies because they needed young tissue.
- During Prohibition, the government poisoned alcohol so people would stop drinking.
- MK-ULTRA: The CIA was tested LSD and other hallucinogenic drugs on Americans without consent, including students, prisoners, mentally disabled, inmates at mental asylums, that had permanent deleterious effects on people.
- The Dalai Lama was a CIA agent: He earned $180,000 in connection with the CIA's funding of the Tibetan Resistance to the tune of $1.7 million per year according to intelligence documents in order to disrupt China.
