I agree OP. But as others noted, she married well and got out while she was still hot. She has kids that she actually gets to see and spend time with (versus having to disappear off to a movie set for months at a time + publicity tours) so I'm thinking she's probably enjoying life.

She was unforgettably brilliant as Muffy Tepperman in "Square Pegs."

The casting of Less Than Zero was so odd to me - not really how I pictured any of those people in the book. I'd say The Lost Boys is her most memorable role. Recently rewatched it and yeah, Patric was beautiful.

Phoebe Cates is from a wealthy, wealthy, old-money NYC family. Her mother got taken for millions by Madoff.

Gertz pops up now and again. She had a stint on Entourage, I remember. I saw her on This is Us, too.

She wasn't beautiful or photogenic. Nice looking woman, sexy, maybe she was a good actress although I haven't seen enough of her work to judge, the only think that comes to mind is "The Lost Boys" where she couldn't do much with the role she had.

Normally when I see a gal who isn't beautiful playing a beauty I wonder who she's sleeping with, but in the case of "The Lost Boys" I'm absolutely sure it wasn't the director.

I rewatched all the Square Pegs episodes during the lockdown and I'm shocked at how bad Sarah Jessica Parker is in it. She's definitely the weakest link in the show. It's funny how she went on to become the breakout star of the show.

While I know that Jami played the same character on The Facts of Life as she played on Square Pegs, it really was a great character.

Muffy/Boots is a character I'd love to see revisited now - maybe a Netflix re-Boots!

R6 as a little kid, I used to get Jami mixed up with Meredith Salenger. I think it was due to the Two Coreys connection.

So weird and sad to realise that half the cast of DREAM A LITTLE DREAM are now dead, and it only came out in 1989.

As a baby lesbian, choosing between Star the vampire and Lainey Diamond was impossible. Throw Jennifer Connelly in CAREER OPPORTUNITIES in, too. All had beautiful dark hair & eyes, soft and pretty but deep voices, amazing skin, dazzling yet kind smiles, gorgeous breasts...it was a lot.

IRL Jami won, big-time. Jennifer has done pretty well, too. Meredith however is now the second wife of an out-of-touch murderous hobbit, who is financially forcing her to raise his kids while he jerks off on his Funko Pops and tweets instead of writing jokes. She could have done so much better.
