Creator Ryan Murphy does not have an idea for season two of 'Feud,' according to FX CEO John Landgraf

All the actors proposed to play Charles and Diana already had bit parts in The Crown.

I thought that season two was supposed to be about Charles and Diana?

Probably had trouble with the Buckley and Vidal families regarding Wm. F. and Gore.

FX did the right thing in slapping down the Charles and Diana idea. It never felt right.

How about Bette Davis versus Miriam Hopkins?

I guess Murphy is already over Feud and American Crime Story and off obsessing about a fresh, new project he can sink his teeth in.

I always thought this was a one-off idea that worked very well as it was but which wasn't going to work as an ongoing series. The Charles/Diana series made no sense because they're going to do it eventually with a much bigger budget and with an actual British cast of what will be assuredly first-rate actors.

Other ideas for what they could do come to mind, but they would probably attract a small audience by the very nature of things, unless they did Burr/Hamilton (and that would only be attractive because of the musical--and would be exceptionally hard and expensive to film). Who would tune in to see Gore Vidal/Truman Capote, or Lillian Hellman/Mary McCarthy?

Sorry, I really enjoyed Season 1. But you cunts don't like anything so there's that.

Murphy should just do limited-run series, 6-12 episodes and on to the next project. He doesn't have the attention span to sustain a multi-season series. The first 13 episodes of Nip/Tuck, Glee, and American Horror Story were all great, but the shows fizzled after that.

His ideas are always for self-contained miniseries, but I think the only way he can sell them is to pretend they're full series.

The only reason he got away with People vs. OJ was that OJ and the prosecutors were public figures, and Johnnie Cochran is dead. He would have huge trouble getting away with anything implicating either John Bennett Ramsey or Burke Ramsey is he did JonBenet for an "ACS." No one's going to tackle those stories using murphy's approach until they're dead.

End with his last words, and you have a season. Hopefully they throw in her brief feud with Patty Duke for an episode, just for DL.
