Around the time of Sweet Home Alabama he did an interview with Out or Advocate where he talked about kissing a male friend of his. The article of course made it clear he was living with or married to a woman and had a kid with her but I still came away with the idea he'd be open to messing around with guys, especially given his substance abuse issues.

He was beautiful when he was younger. Always had a manic but sweet quality to him.

I met him at a convention and he was one of the sweetest guests there. He'd even ask my friend and I questions about ourselves. I found that really endearing and, in person, let me assure you - he's still very hot. Taller than I expected for some reason.

I've liked him since "Can't Hardly Wait." 20 years later, he's still hot in Grace & Frankie.

I met him about 20 years ago at Universal Studios where he was promoting his Fox show FreakyLinks. Universal Studios employees were begging the park guests to come to this evidently unplanned promotional event for Malcolm in the Middle and FreakyLinks. Most of the cast of MITM was there alongside Embry discussing their completely unrelated shows on a random weekday afternoon. They all signed promo photos after the event. I probably still have his somewhere. I know I still have a Malcolm in the Middle cast photo with everyone's signature (except Jane Kazcmarek who wasn't there.)

Embry was looking pretty rough which surprised me since he was so cute and fresh looking in Can't Hardly Wait only 2 years before. He was friendly enough but seemed understandably put out having to promote the show on his own and most people seemed more interested in the MITM cast since that show had already been airing for half a season and FreakyLinks had yet to premiere.

Whoa, I remember all the girls in high school having a huge crush on him. He was very cute back in the Empire Records days. Sadly I find him underwhelming on G&F. However, with the exception of June, none of the adult "children" are worth the paper on which their lines are written. I'm glad to see he's still working.
