An actor I worked with once appeared with David and Shaun Cassidy as well as Petula Clark in "Blood Brothers". I always thought Jack Cassidy was kind of hot. He played creepy/arrogant very well. Now that I've learned he was hung - it fits even better. I had a cousin that was hung very nicely. My goodness - sorry to offend. It just struck me as so weird at the time. It's not a story I go into with great frequency. In fact, I think this is the only time I've shared it.

It was the hippie early 70's. Nobody probably thought too much of it.

Shirley Jones wrote one of the worst books I've ever read. It showed her to be fairly stupid and gross and in very bad taste. Not only does she go on about her children's dick sizes, but has a long section about masterbation. Classless.

I think David did feel exploited from The Partridge Family and being associated with it. He wanted to be a serious musician. He was good-looking and sexy and knew it though and had no shame showing that off (like Robert Plant and Prince) but he still wanted his talent to shine through. I've listened to his solo stuff and he is really talented as an artist. His brother Shaun was a limited talent in comparison but his music wasn't too bad either, very nice 70s pop rock.
