I have loved Jeff Bridges since I was a wee gayling who saw him in Starman. I realize most you worship hairless twinks but this thread is for DLers who want to discuss hot daddy Jeff.
He has fantastic hair when he tries although sometimes it doesn't look like he's bathed or washed it in a while.

He was at his most beautiful in AGAINST ALL ODDS & STARMAN. His nude scenes in the former are erection inducing. Like a love child of Adonis and a beach bum.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 14, 2019 6:58 PM |
I agree in particular that he was at his hotness peak in Against All Odds. The hair, the body, the face--everything was in peak form in this movie. The director had Bridges as naked as possible in most scenes, which is about the only good thing you can say about the movie.

Something has happened with his mouth when he talks now. His lips are all clinched up. It's as if he's got snuff in his lower lip and he's trying to keep it from falling out.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 14, 2019 8:13 PM |
His estate in Montecito, Ca. is possibly one of the most beautiful properties I've ever seen. Just a dream. I wonder if it ever sold.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 14, 2019 8:16 PM |
He's done that ever since he played in True Grit.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 14, 2019 8:16 PM |
Oops, didn't read the article thoroughly enough. It did sell, for $16 million.

He is a fantastic actor and I hear a nice person.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 14, 2019 8:40 PM |
I was once at a Q & A for a film of his (Crazy Heart I think), and he seemed, if not stoned, very eccentric, to say the least. He had this really high-pitched giggle, and he giggled a lot. Have always been a fan, though, and I think he's probably a very down-to-earth guy who doesn't put on airs. I would guess he doesn't give a f---what people think of him. If you heard that laugh of his, you would believe it.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 14, 2019 8:41 PM |
He was adorable in The Last Picture Show. Manly peak in Against All Odds. Still doable as Lebowski. Wins for Fuckable Grandad.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 14, 2019 8:47 PM |
I remember lusting after him when I was a kid and he played in prince on the Rapunzel episode of Faerie Tale Theatre. He had this codpiece looking thing that made him look like he had this huge dick. I didn't know why I felt the way I felt at the time, but he stirred something in me.

He and Kurt Russell look alike now. Both have gorgeous heads of hair. They both have that "aging surfer dude" look.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 14, 2019 10:01 PM |
He's been turning into the 21st century Walter Brennan.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 14, 2019 10:04 PM |
Beautiful man.

Nothing like a good ass cheek to make your day. Thanks R8.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 14, 2019 10:07 PM |
He showed his ass and you could catch a brief glimpse of his balls in "Down And Out In Beverly Hills."

That was Nick Nolte.

by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 14, 2019 10:44 PM |
He has an unassuming way about him.. seems very down to earth.

I have to tell you, I have TRIED 3 times to watch Crazy Heart-
The furthest I have made is 20 minutes.
I simply despise it!
And I loved Tender Mercies. SO WHAT THE FUCK.

His dad was a better actor also his constant mumbling is annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 14, 2019 11:04 PM |
I have attended the Church of Jeff Bridges since The Last Picture Show. Two Reasons- the hottest actor; the best actor.

I first really noticed him in The Fabulous Baker Boys. I like that he's been married to the same woman all these years and nobody seems to have anything bad to say about him. I also get a kick out of him with Babs in 'The Mirror Has Two Faces'
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 14, 2019 11:16 PM |
Jeff undoubtedly has the better body and career, but as an actor and personality, I always preferred Beau Bridges.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 14, 2019 11:21 PM |
He was terrifying in The Vanishing (1993)..
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 14, 2019 11:36 PM |
R27, he looks great for a man who's almost seventy! Sure, he's gotten a little soft in places, but there's plenty of good solid man there, and that's not always the case at that age.
He's a very good actor, one of these people you're always glad to see, because they always, every single time, do a good entertaining job of whatever role they've taken. He's also very attractive, the sort of man who isn't just good-looking but who seems mellow, good-natured, and drama-free. If he's anything like his screen persona in real life, his wife is one lucky bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 14, 2019 11:38 PM |
I wish he would forego the unfortunate choice some older men make of growing long hair. My brother does it, my cousin's husband does it, Patrick Duffy from Dallas now has a ponytail, and Jeff Bridges ruins his looks with stringy, greasy looking long hair. At his age he's past hot, but he'd look a lot better with shorter, styled hair.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 14, 2019 11:40 PM |
I agreed with a previous poster that something is weird with his mouth now - when he speaks it seems like he has no lower teeth or something - it’s very odd
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 14, 2019 11:44 PM |
The mouth thing is maybe dentures?

His Oscar should have been for "American Heart" instead of "Crazy Heart".
He's said that it's his favorite of his movies.
I like his obscure and forgotten movies best too. "Bad Company" "Hearts of the West" "Rancho Deluxe" "White Squall" "American Heart" "The Door in the Floor" "The Last American Hero" "Tucker" "Cutter's Way" "Nadine"
But if course "Against All Odds" has its special place
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 15, 2019 5:29 PM |
His dad was a typical 50s-60s hack.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 15, 2019 5:37 PM |
I agree that the beauty of Jeff Bridges in "Against All Odds" is breathtaking. Looking back now, he reminds me a little bit of the Hemsworth-es... And "Tucker" is a great movie.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 15, 2019 6:22 PM |
What happened to Beau?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 16, 2019 4:31 AM |
Jeff and Sam Elliott. Nothing else needs to be said.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 16, 2019 4:34 AM |
He’s apparently a terrific, gentle, no-ego, super nice guy. But man, he was great in The Door In The Floor, playing a raging, self-centered asshole. Really good film.

When I was 12 I used to go to high school basketball games primarily to watch this one cheerleader (I wasn't that interested in the games but she was fabulous) saw a picture on the Golden Globe thread picturing them together. They've been married forever and it made me happy to see. I don't know what it was. I mean... naturally I desperately wanted to be a cheerleader. I was a proper, card carrying sissy boy. But there was just something extra about Sue and I love, love, loved to watch her. She was magical to me. I guess I had good taste in older women.

It was totally unbelievable that he would be attracted to Glenn Close in Jagged Edge. That should have been her first clue that he was a murderer.

Hot hot hot hot hot in his day, and his hotness held for many years. He still looks great. Add to that he's a great actor and a seemingly genuinely good guy.

Link, please, r60, to these supposed strokes he had. I haven't found any evidence.
