The new Marie Kondo Netflix series

Episode 1 has a hot DILF and a neurotic harpy wife.

Episode 5 features a couple of queens with receding hairlines, constantly trying to make their voices lower.

I watched two episodes of this last night and found it to be extremely annoying. I don’t understand how this bitch is making millions of dollars by “tidying up”. Why didn’t I think of that?

by Anonymousreply 1January 6, 2019 4:18 PM

This was a better idea in theory than in reality. Due to the language barrier, it almost seems like Marie Kondo is a minor guest star on her own namesake show. They should probably have a dynamic English-speaking host that can act as an ambassador for the ideas and steps presented in Kondo's books. As it stands, it's kind of awkward watching the interactions between Kondo (and her interpreter) and the people she's supposed to be helping.

I don't think the series is going over well here in the U.S. People don't like to be told to get rid of their Made in China crap.

Also, I saw that Kondo is attracting the attention on the SJWs. "Minimalism REEKS of PRIVILEGE!"

It's great! I've got rid of so much crap. I can see all my stuff now. It saves so much time.

But I still can't get over the woman in the first episode not doing laundry.

She was using the kids to not do any housework.

She's so adorable!

That chick in the first episode with the HUGE fever blister skeeved me out. Plus, she and her husband called each other "babe" AT LEAST 200 times throughout the episode, which was super annoying. And just how old was their little girl, the one who kept asking for "boobies?" She HAD to be at least two and she's still fucking breastfeeding???

Weird. As. FUCK

by Anonymousreply 6January 9, 2019 4:36 AM

Marie Kondo helped R6 with that reply.

I do like her ideas. Even my partner saw the first show and started getting rid of shit.

If Marie Kondo can make him change, I love her!!

I like her clothes folding method. I just redid my clothing drawers. Now I can see everything at one time and it’s so neat.

How many “Clean Your House” shows do we need?

Why do people watch? To feel superior to the slobs on TV? For encouragement to clean their own house?

I can’t imagine how housecleaning became something entertaining to watch on TV. Is there a dish washing show? A laundry show?

by Anonymousreply 10January 9, 2019 4:46 AM

She is like a quieter Niecy Nash.

lol R7, no, not quite. I came up with that all on my own, thank you. Although I do admit that composing it and reading the finished product did indeed spark serious joy in me.

by Anonymousreply 12January 9, 2019 5:36 AM

YES!!!! I was wondering if anyone noticed that HUGE cold sore, R6! And it showed that they filmed the whole thing in a matter of days because it was the same size. The "BABE" thing bothered me too and that OLD ASS kid wanting to breastfeed? HELL NAW, that's just disgusting.

I find this show, Marie Kondo and her idea of less shit in your house, very soothing.

by Anonymousreply 14January 9, 2019 11:13 PM

Is she on the autism spectrum? Apparently, she had a mental breakdown when faced with disorder.
