Saw a brief clip of a young Jon in Superman IV and man did he ping hard. I’ve never really seen him in anything else but I am aware of his Two and a Half Men role, of which I’ve maybe seen a couple of minutes of.
Anyone agree?

If he is we're in no hurry to claim him, ugly as fuck he's always been.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 28, 2018 8:47 AM |
I actually thought he was quite cute in Superman ...
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 28, 2018 8:49 AM |
Well, it takes different strokes for different holes to rule the world.
I'm pretty sure Abraham Lincoln said that.
And he was president.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 28, 2018 8:54 AM |
Nah, he's not. I think he just suffers from lisp and having a weirdly coincidental image with Sean Hayes. If he was gay, he'd be out. Plus, he doesn't really have gayface (and I will call out aaanybody who has gayface)
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 28, 2018 8:57 AM |
I think he addressed this in his autobiography. Said people always think he's gay, but no, he's just a straight guy who gives off that vibe. Who knows?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 28, 2018 9:06 AM |
I think it's reasonable to ask because the few roles I've seen 'Crier' in, he'd be pretty in pink.

Of??

Lordy! We don't want him.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 28, 2018 9:58 AM |
Cryyyyying over you!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 28, 2018 10:00 AM |
He has a nice face in R4's pic. Not sexy just a nice smile and eyes.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 28, 2018 10:01 AM |
Everyone seems to think Duckie in Pretty in Pink is gay, but if you watch it there's nothing really specific to suggest he is, he's just really annoying. The reason he comes off as gay is because of the way Cryer plays him.

He performs the Tony Randall function, he automatically makes his closeted gay co-star seem straight by comparison.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 28, 2018 10:16 AM |
He's the new Tony Randall.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 28, 2018 10:23 AM |
Isn't Duckie friend-zoned by Andie (and he did want more but just too scared to act and risk losing their friendship)?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 28, 2018 10:43 AM |
Apparently in the original movie ending, Duckie and Andie end up together but audiences freaked out so they changed it. Andrew McCarthy had no upper lip

From IMDB's trivia.
[quote] The filmmakers wanted Blane, to be "a hunky, square-jawed jock," but Molly Ringwald wasn't attracted to that sort of guy. Ringwald had some say in the casting, and after Andrew McCarthy auditioned, she told John Hughes and Howard Deutch her thoughts on him. "That's the kind of guy I would fall in love with." They thought he was a "twerpy guy", and weren't interested, but Ringwald pushed for his casting.
Molly really had a lot of clout back then.

I saw him once dancing at a gay disco in Weho. After Pretty in Pink. And B4 2.5 Men. Definitely Gay
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 28, 2018 11:07 AM |
OP, he's going to play Lex Luthor on Supergirl.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 28, 2018 1:28 PM |
Actually, he's going to be in the next sequel to Breaking Bad called Breaking Meh.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 29, 2018 12:35 PM |
Straight and very left leaning politically. Move along. Nothing to see here.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 29, 2018 12:44 PM |
I THINK HE'S CUTER THAN HIS 2.5 MEN COSTAR , THE WALING STD INFECTION.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 29, 2018 12:47 PM |
He and Don Knotts could go for twin brothers.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 29, 2018 12:58 PM |
Yes. He's a gay boy.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 29, 2018 1:05 PM |
He wrote an autobiography??? He seems like a nice enough guy, but who really gives a.f. about this guy.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 29, 2018 1:09 PM |
R16 didn't Molly realize she was *playing* a character who would fall in love with a hunky, square-jawed jock? That's where the acting comes in. ,*Pretend* you really like those types of guys.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 29, 2018 1:14 PM |
Straight
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 29, 2018 1:23 PM |
Gay.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 29, 2018 2:56 PM |
Charlie Sheen ain't straight either.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 29, 2018 3:02 PM |
I used to see him around the UWS in Manhattan. We knew the same people around the same time. He was very nice and came from a very nice middle class, liberal , Jewish family. He didn't ping to me then but now I can see it. Could not stand Andrew McCarthy. I used to see him around town like on the subway. Very stuck up looking and do not know how any woman would be attracted to him.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 29, 2018 3:03 PM |
Jon Cryer is not Jewish. He's Methodist.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 29, 2018 3:11 PM |
DL thinks everyone is gay. You wouldn't know a gay guy if he married Sarah Jessica Parker.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 30, 2018 2:34 AM |
Jon cryer is not attractive but he has overwhelming gay face to me.
I do believe he is straight ish, but, one way or another, he’s an exception that makes the rule: He has total gay face but is straight or He’s a closeted gay actor Who doesn’t generate many gay rumors because he’s not attractive
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 17, 2020 2:34 AM |
Well if he's a gay, he's certainly a dumb gay. He keeps getting married to, and divorced from, model types who cart off all of his cash in every settlement.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 17, 2020 2:39 AM |
Why do people make shit up like R34? He's been married twice and divorced once. His current wife was an entertainment reporter on local news in LA. They've been married since 2007.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 17, 2020 2:43 AM |
I've always thought he was gay. I think even Molly Ringwald once alluded to the fact in some interview that she thought he was too, while they were making the film.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 17, 2020 3:06 AM |
OP, you've never seen PRETTY IN PINK? Or HIDING OUT? Or NO SMALL AFFAIR? MORGAN STEWART'S COMING HOME? DUDES? Were you even around in the '80s?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 17, 2020 3:07 AM |
He's not gay, but at Bronx Science there was a surprising number of straight brainy outcast male nerdy / geeky classmates who found a place to fit in with the drama club. They really seemed to want attention and approval. Jon Cryer isn't gay.
Bronx Science (from what I remember usually had four or five plays / musicals every year. Lots of us became scientists and engineers, but there were was a significant number of straight guys who loved the attention they received overacting and mugging and getting the spotlight on stage.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 17, 2020 3:11 AM |
For me, Ducky was in the closet and his friend knew even before him, that's why she friendzoned him. I see why Andrew McCarthy was the type of guy a teen find attactive, cute and not threatening. Young girls fantasize with holding hands and kissing, not get fucked all night by a squared jaw stud.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 17, 2020 5:21 AM |
He's gay enough to be Eric Stonestreet's husband.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 17, 2020 5:49 AM |
[quote]If he was gay, he'd be out
It's baffling that people who don't even the individuals they're talking about, can spout stuff like that so dogmatically.
Guys: Even gay men in the gayest milieux - eg the NYC ballet - sometimes stay in the closet and marry women. And Hollywood is much worse.
