You are Living In The Past.

by Anonymousreply 1December 20, 2018 12:54 AM

Eww.

by Anonymousreply 2December 20, 2018 12:55 AM

I saw them July 4th, 2000 with The Gypsy Kings. Bar none the best concert I’ve ever seen.

by Anonymousreply 3December 20, 2018 1:02 AM

My very first concert back in the '70s.

by Anonymousreply 4December 20, 2018 1:06 AM

Jethro Tull was one of my favorites back in high school. I played their albums over and over. Nice, OP...

by Anonymousreply 5December 20, 2018 1:10 AM

Saw them live about 10 years ago. They were so tight and slick I had to look twice to check that the instruments were plugged in. Singing was a little rough. The keyboardist has doubled for touring Deep Purple in the past. See the old acts if you can, if you haven't before. Otherwise remember them in their glory days of youth and vigour.

by Anonymousreply 6December 20, 2018 1:13 AM

They had a single out called Locomotive Breath. I kid you not - I have the single (not the breath).

by Anonymousreply 7December 20, 2018 2:10 AM

Yup.

For all the many times someone has asked, “Jealous, bitches?” on here, this is actually the first time I can say yes. I was a huge fan in high school.

by Anonymousreply 9December 20, 2018 2:28 AM

Not jealous (or envious) at all. Wouldn't go to that crap if you gave me free tickets and $100 spending money.

by Anonymousreply 10December 20, 2018 2:31 AM

LOVE "a song for Jeffrey!"

R10 is SEEEEEEEEEETHING with jealousy !!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 12December 20, 2018 2:37 AM

Um, NO, decidedly NOT jealous. But genuinely curious if they empty their own bags on stage during the concert, or if their nurses aides do it for them during intermission...

by Anonymousreply 13December 20, 2018 3:01 AM

r13 is SEEEEEEEEETHING more than r10 with JEALOUSY !!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 14December 20, 2018 3:03 AM

Hasnt the vocalist lost his voice?

by Anonymousreply 15December 20, 2018 3:05 AM

Aqua luuung... "snots running down his nose"....

I saw Jethro Tull twice in the '70s (aqualung tour and thick as a brick tour). Fantastic shows. Aqualung is a classic album.

by Anonymousreply 19December 20, 2018 3:10 AM

They sound really good in video R17...

by Anonymousreply 20December 20, 2018 3:10 AM

What R10 said.

P.S. pick up a dictionary, granny.

by Anonymousreply 21December 20, 2018 3:12 AM

*Envy is different than jealousy, OP.

by Anonymousreply 22December 20, 2018 3:13 AM

Benefit was one of my favorite albums, along with Aqualung..

by Anonymousreply 23December 20, 2018 3:13 AM

Please turn your hymnals to Hymn 43, Our Father High in Heaven.

The flute gave them a distinctive sound that made them instantly idetifiable among rock bands.

by Anonymousreply 26December 20, 2018 3:23 AM

This was practically the soundtrack to my high school years:

R26 Yes, I agree, the flute!!

by Anonymousreply 31December 20, 2018 3:45 AM

What’s the point? Ian Anderson’s voice is shot and Martin Barre’s no longer around.

by Anonymousreply 32December 20, 2018 3:51 AM

I remember the fact that they were sort of popular, but I can't recall anything they sang.

by Anonymousreply 33December 20, 2018 3:58 AM

Who is backing the tour? Walking Frame Tours?

by Anonymousreply 34December 20, 2018 4:11 AM

They had 2 big hit singles, Living In The Past and Bungle In The Jungle.

r34 Consumer Cellular, Trac Fone, AARP, Metamucil, Viagra, Life Alert, Depends, Sensitive Toothpaste, Catheters, the list goes on... "WHAT'D HE SAY?!"

by Anonymousreply 36December 21, 2018 3:35 AM

Wow, I can hardly believe Jethro Tull are still touring. I first saw them live in July, 1976. They sounded 100% every bit as good live as they did on record. In the early 1970s Tull and Badfinger shared a manager.

by Anonymousreply 37December 21, 2018 4:29 AM

Are they the same band members? Surely, some or most of the originals have passed.
