Eww.

I saw them July 4th, 2000 with The Gypsy Kings. Bar none the best concert I’ve ever seen.

My very first concert back in the '70s.

Jethro Tull was one of my favorites back in high school. I played their albums over and over. Nice, OP...

Saw them live about 10 years ago. They were so tight and slick I had to look twice to check that the instruments were plugged in. Singing was a little rough. The keyboardist has doubled for touring Deep Purple in the past. See the old acts if you can, if you haven't before. Otherwise remember them in their glory days of youth and vigour.

They had a single out called Locomotive Breath. I kid you not - I have the single (not the breath).

For all the many times someone has asked, “Jealous, bitches?” on here, this is actually the first time I can say yes. I was a huge fan in high school.

Not jealous (or envious) at all. Wouldn't go to that crap if you gave me free tickets and $100 spending money.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 20, 2018 2:31 AM |
R10 is SEEEEEEEEEETHING with jealousy !!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 20, 2018 2:37 AM |
Um, NO, decidedly NOT jealous. But genuinely curious if they empty their own bags on stage during the concert, or if their nurses aides do it for them during intermission...

r13 is SEEEEEEEEETHING more than r10 with JEALOUSY !!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 20, 2018 3:03 AM |
Hasnt the vocalist lost his voice?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 20, 2018 3:05 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 20, 2018 3:07 AM |
I saw Jethro Tull twice in the '70s (aqualung tour and thick as a brick tour). Fantastic shows. Aqualung is a classic album.

They sound really good in video R17...
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 20, 2018 3:10 AM |
What R10 said.
P.S. pick up a dictionary, granny.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 20, 2018 3:12 AM |
*Envy is different than jealousy, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 20, 2018 3:13 AM |
Benefit was one of my favorite albums, along with Aqualung..

Please turn your hymnals to Hymn 43, Our Father High in Heaven.

The flute gave them a distinctive sound that made them instantly idetifiable among rock bands.

This was practically the soundtrack to my high school years:

R26 Yes, I agree, the flute!!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 20, 2018 3:45 AM |
What’s the point? Ian Anderson’s voice is shot and Martin Barre’s no longer around.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 20, 2018 3:51 AM |
I remember the fact that they were sort of popular, but I can't recall anything they sang.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 20, 2018 3:58 AM |
Who is backing the tour? Walking Frame Tours?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 20, 2018 4:11 AM |
They had 2 big hit singles, Living In The Past and Bungle In The Jungle.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 20, 2018 4:18 AM |
r34 Consumer Cellular, Trac Fone, AARP, Metamucil, Viagra, Life Alert, Depends, Sensitive Toothpaste, Catheters, the list goes on... "WHAT'D HE SAY?!"
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 21, 2018 3:35 AM |
Wow, I can hardly believe Jethro Tull are still touring. I first saw them live in July, 1976. They sounded 100% every bit as good live as they did on record. In the early 1970s Tull and Badfinger shared a manager.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 21, 2018 4:29 AM |
Are they the same band members? Surely, some or most of the originals have passed.
