I just bought concert tickets to see JETHRO TULL – 50th Anniversary Tour

I saw them July 4th, 2000 with The Gypsy Kings. Bar none the best concert I’ve ever seen.

Jethro Tull was one of my favorites back in high school. I played their albums over and over. Nice, OP...

Saw them live about 10 years ago. They were so tight and slick I had to look twice to check that the instruments were plugged in. Singing was a little rough. The keyboardist has doubled for touring Deep Purple in the past. See the old acts if you can, if you haven't before. Otherwise remember them in their glory days of youth and vigour.

They had a single out called Locomotive Breath. I kid you not - I have the single (not the breath).

For all the many times someone has asked, “Jealous, bitches?” on here, this is actually the first time I can say yes. I was a huge fan in high school.

Not jealous (or envious) at all. Wouldn't go to that crap if you gave me free tickets and $100 spending money.

I saw Jethro Tull twice in the '70s (aqualung tour and thick as a brick tour). Fantastic shows. Aqualung is a classic album.

They sound really good in video R17...

Here's the set list for this years 50th anniversary tour. I'm sure it will be similar next year since it the same tour. GREAT SET LIST !!!!!!

What’s the point? Ian Anderson’s voice is shot and Martin Barre’s no longer around.

I remember the fact that they were sort of popular, but I can't recall anything they sang.

Who is backing the tour? Walking Frame Tours?

They had 2 big hit singles, Living In The Past and Bungle In The Jungle.

Wow, I can hardly believe Jethro Tull are still touring. I first saw them live in July, 1976. They sounded 100% every bit as good live as they did on record. In the early 1970s Tull and Badfinger shared a manager.

Are they the same band members? Surely, some or most of the originals have passed.
