English actor. I love him so much. Not in a creepy way. I just like to rub my knees lasciviously while thinking about his squidgy bits.
I loved Crashing, I wish they'd done a second season of it.

I would have loved to have seen him in The York Realist...
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 19, 2018 5:54 PM |
Well, that's too bad.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 19, 2018 6:01 PM |
R4 Jesus that was painful to read. And that whole thing was just pure speculation. That site is 100% crap.

I think I've watched Crashing four times and, like R1, wish there was a second season (or more). However, I cannot figure out for the life of me how to continue it with the same characters as they were all evicted from the building at the end of S1 and the likelihood of them all continuing to live together makes little sense (nor does the world need another "Friends"-type show). Plus, the creator, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is busy with Killing Eve now. I'd like to see another season (or more) of W1A, too, but I believe the creators said that's not going to happen.
Bailey is in three episodes of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, but I have zero interest in that. And a word to the wise Bailey fan: Do NOT watch Hooten and the Lady. It's one of the worst shows I've ever seen, and he's barely in it. Wait for the Company bootlegs.

I wonder if he's in this one much (interesting cast):
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 19, 2018 6:34 PM |
R8 He plays the brothers boyfriend.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 19, 2018 6:43 PM |
r9 Ooh, I'm getting that then! Thank you x

He's not in Testament very much, R10. Hope you like Kit Harington and Taron Egerton!

I read an interview he did about gay actors playing gay roles in reference to Jack Whitehall being straight and playing Disney's first. I thought it was obvious they asked for his comments on it since he is openly gay and playing a gay role himself. It seems like he may be "quietly" open about it on social media and in the press.
He was hilarious in the episode of Chewing Gum he guest starred in as a white man who only dated black women because he fetishized them.
I have no clue how he and Michaela Coel kept a straight face throughout the episode.
Here's a bit of a scene from the episode

Have there ever been any pictures of him with a boyfriend?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 19, 2018 7:51 PM |
R14 No, because he would be killed
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 19, 2018 7:53 PM |
Cripes! I would gladly wear a bullet proof vest just to hold Jonathan's hand. :'(
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 19, 2018 7:57 PM |
R16 I presume 'hand' is code?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 19, 2018 7:59 PM |
Seems fairly out in this interview using the pronoun "we": “Gay men should be able to get married, it shouldn’t be seen as a privilege, absolutely we should. But the question of, ‘Just because we can, should we?’ is an interesting one.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 24, 2018 8:13 PM |
You'd think he'd be more open, he's not that famous.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 24, 2018 8:27 PM |
He was doing really well with the TV show appearances for a few years.
Maybe he thought he'd break out but then decided to say, "screw it?"

I just watched, yes, no, W1A, because of Jonathan Bailey, who plays a smallish part. Hugh Skinner plays just one of a set of the most annoying characters in the history of television. Brilliant. Yes. No.
'mo(sexual), Hugh? Yes? No?

I like Jonathan Bailey so much, I bought a copy of the play, The York Realist.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 25, 2018 5:47 PM |
I wonder if the play was ever filmed. I'd love to see it.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 25, 2018 6:13 PM |
I like the gif at R18.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 25, 2018 6:15 PM |
I have not seen any reference to a filmed/taped version, r28. If I do, I'll certainly post info here.

Here's an article from about a week ago where he just outright says he's gay. Not that there was much doubt but it's still always nice when there is clear confirmation.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 23, 2019 7:48 PM |
Good for him. Too bad he's not a bigger star for it to really matter.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 24, 2019 2:20 AM |
Wait, now that I think about it, didn't this information come out months ago?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 24, 2019 2:53 AM |
I've been rewatching CRASHING and he's absolutely adorable (and infuriating) in that, which is a rare feat.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 24, 2019 6:04 PM |
I've watched Crashing more times than I can count, largely for Bailey, but the whole cast is good. I long for a second season, but I have no idea how they'd make it work.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 24, 2019 6:29 PM |
My favorite scene in Crashing is when the lead female asks Bailey’s character if he’s ever had anything up his butt. Jonathan emits a small yelp and has the most adorable facial expression (that suggests “No way! But it might be fun!” 😊)
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 24, 2019 8:12 PM |
Mine is the curry-dinner scene (it's practically the entire episode). I love watching Jonathan trying (vainly) to hide his jealousy of Fred's boyfriend (who's the only one who can sing, a moment that never fails to make me laugh, even after multiple viewings).

Jonny Bayleaf wins Best Supporting in a Musical:
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 5, 2019 2:17 PM |
And he's now nominated for an Olivier Award, as is his co-star Richard Fleeshman.

Good looking guy but I swear to god he's got one of those generic faces that, while still handsome, I can't tell apart from hundreds of others actors or models who have the same look.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | March 5, 2019 11:17 PM |
He just won an Olivier award for Best Supporting Actor in a musical and basically came out full tilt in his speech.

Did he mention Brunei?
