Were you a huge fan? I was and am.

by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 4, 2018 6:18 PM |
She was the shittiest contestant on Match Game.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 4, 2018 6:19 PM |
[R5]
You actually found Bill Daly, Nanette Fabray, Dick Martin, and Alex Karras to be better contestants?
As off the wall as Patti could be, she still gave more correct answers than all of the above combined.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 4, 2018 6:24 PM |
She was no Jo Ann Pflug
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 4, 2018 6:27 PM |
I had forgotten she existed.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 4, 2018 6:47 PM |
None of them were contestants, you dumb fucks. They were panelists. The people who competed were the the contestants.
Get it right or get lost!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 4, 2018 6:53 PM |

Debra Lee Scott died homeless.
Brett NEVER divorced Jack Klugman.
Fannie Flagg had a lesbian affair with Rita Mae Brown.
Charles Nelson Reilly was in a circus tent fire as a child and never sat in the audience again. He always stood in the back. And he was a stage director.
FUN FACTS!!!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 4, 2018 7:06 PM |
Nope, Brett and Jack actually did divorce.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 4, 2018 7:11 PM |

She was no Barbara Sharma.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 4, 2018 8:35 PM |
I found Gene Rayburn extremely annoying. He acted like such a fucking idiot on Match Game.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 4, 2018 8:39 PM |
But what did Patti Deutsch actually do? Was she an actress? A singer?
Game-show celebrities used to be the strangest breed - no one could ever figure out what they had done to become a celebrity.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 4, 2018 8:53 PM |
Deutsch was a member of the Ace Trucking Company in the 60s.
She branched into TV in the 70s.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 4, 2018 8:57 PM |
Funny, I don’t remember her in ANYTHING but Match Game.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 4, 2018 8:58 PM |
Patti was a regular on "Laugh-In" toward the end of its run and was also a frequent panelist on "Tattletales." With her husband, of course, whoever he was.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 4, 2018 9:07 PM |
Patty’s husband was a celebrity because of Patty’s star status.

by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 4, 2018 11:23 PM |
No he was just a strange, odd person. Perfect for the Match Game set.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 4, 2018 11:24 PM |
FUN FACT!!
R33 You forgot to mention that Charles Nelson Reilly stared with Uta Hagen in the epic B'Way bomb "Charlotte".

Rayburn was a Yugoslav.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 4, 2018 11:36 PM |
Are Yugoslavs white-adjacent?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 4, 2018 11:40 PM |
The face seems vaguely familiar, but the name, not at all. I love her none the less, I trust the OP's judgment. The 70s were heaven on earth compared to now.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 4, 2018 11:56 PM |
On the whole, I found her funnier than Richard Dawson.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 4, 2018 11:58 PM |
Richard Dawson was unfunny.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 5, 2018 12:00 AM |
Dawson was smarmy.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 5, 2018 12:05 AM |
I saw her and her comedy writer husband at Debbie Reynold's "Irene" at the Shubert in Century City. Didn't know it was her until she spoke. I hated that she had the last seat on Match Game because she was always trying to write a joke instead of just play the game. You could see the look of dread on the contestant's faces if they had to match one more celebrity to stay in the game and that last celeb was Deutsch. I heard her on a comedy album called, I believe, the Hexorcist where she played Reagan. Perfect voice for it.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 5, 2018 12:07 AM |
FUN FACT!! I saw Charlotte and Charles did not speak a single word in the play!!!
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 5, 2018 12:16 AM |
Barbara Sharma was in the OBC of Sweet Charity before Laugh In.
Did Patty invent fry?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 5, 2018 12:23 AM |

Cancer? Yes.
Upper frontal? Not disclosed.

[quote] But Jack and Brett stayed married loooong after they broke up so that none of his girlfriends could sue him when he dumped them.
Again, you're wrong. FUN FACT.
They divorced in 1977
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 5, 2018 3:36 AM |
FUN LIE. Brett told me to my face she was still married Klugman, But I see according to wikipedia they did divorce. Wonder why she felt she had to make up that story?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 5, 2018 7:03 AM |
FUN FACT! 83% of Marcia Wallace's responses on Match Game included the phrases "ca ca", "poo poo" or "doo doo".
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 5, 2018 8:44 AM |
Brett was a horrible player. She rarely matched any of the contestants. Richard was the best player but he seemed to wound tight.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 5, 2018 10:50 AM |
Didn't Patti do an impression of Jayne Mansfield, sneezing, on "The Merv Griffin Show"?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 5, 2018 12:59 PM |
Brett "what are those little things you pop in your mouth?" The answer was Life Savers. What a dumb bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 5, 2018 1:09 PM |
r57 At least she didn't say "Jack Klugman's dick."
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 6, 2018 2:14 AM |
I can't find any clips on YouTube of her on Merv Griffin, but here was one of her funnier moments on Match Game.
Richard Dawson did his best to ruin the joke.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 6, 2018 2:18 AM |
Miss Ruth Buzzi was also in the OBC of Sweet Charity before Laugh In, r47.
