Were you a huge fan? I was and am.

by Anonymousreply 61December 6, 2018 2:38 AM

Wouldn't a "huge fan" know she spelled her name "Patti?"

by Anonymousreply 1December 4, 2018 6:07 PM

And

BARRIE YOUNGFELLOW

as Jan

by Anonymousreply 2December 4, 2018 6:14 PM

I liked her. She was likable and had a good sense of humor.

by Anonymousreply 3December 4, 2018 6:16 PM

I fucking love ❤️ love ❤️ her hair!

by Anonymousreply 4December 4, 2018 6:18 PM

She was the shittiest contestant on Match Game.

by Anonymousreply 5December 4, 2018 6:19 PM

[R5]

You actually found Bill Daly, Nanette Fabray, Dick Martin, and Alex Karras to be better contestants?

As off the wall as Patti could be, she still gave more correct answers than all of the above combined.

by Anonymousreply 6December 4, 2018 6:24 PM

She was no Jo Ann Pflug

by Anonymousreply 7December 4, 2018 6:27 PM

I had forgotten she existed.

by Anonymousreply 8December 4, 2018 6:47 PM

None of them were contestants, you dumb fucks. They were panelists. The people who competed were the the contestants.

Get it right or get lost!

by Anonymousreply 9December 4, 2018 6:53 PM

Look who's spinning in her grave, as loud as always.

by Anonymousreply 10December 4, 2018 6:55 PM

Blow it out yer ass, JACK! Thanks to you I had to ride this shitshow to the bitter end. You think I liked sitting next to that bewigged homo for 8 years??

by Anonymousreply 11December 4, 2018 6:57 PM

preferred Debralee Scott

by Anonymousreply 12December 4, 2018 6:59 PM

Debralee Scott was a drunk!

by Anonymousreply 13December 4, 2018 7:04 PM

[R11]

You're lucky I got you that job.

And talking about 'wigs'. Which one were you buried with?

by Anonymousreply 14December 4, 2018 7:05 PM

Debra Lee Scott died homeless.

Brett NEVER divorced Jack Klugman.

Fannie Flagg had a lesbian affair with Rita Mae Brown.

Charles Nelson Reilly was in a circus tent fire as a child and never sat in the audience again. He always stood in the back. And he was a stage director.

FUN FACTS!!!

by Anonymousreply 15December 4, 2018 7:06 PM

Nope, Brett and Jack actually did divorce.

by Anonymousreply 16December 4, 2018 7:11 PM

Actually, she is Mason Reese.

by Anonymousreply 17December 4, 2018 7:22 PM

But Jack and Brett stayed married loooong after they broke up so that none of his girlfriends could sue him when he dumped them

FUN FACT

by Anonymousreply 18December 4, 2018 7:55 PM

Do I have to bare my upper frontals to get this thread back on track?

by Anonymousreply 19December 4, 2018 8:28 PM

WHERE'S THAT BITCH BOULIFANT ?

by Anonymousreply 20December 4, 2018 8:33 PM

DON'T E V E R PUT ME ON A PANEL WITH THAT HORSE'S ASS BORGNINE.

by Anonymousreply 21December 4, 2018 8:34 PM

FUN FACT

Patti Deutsch died last year!

by Anonymousreply 22December 4, 2018 8:34 PM

She was no Barbara Sharma.

by Anonymousreply 23December 4, 2018 8:35 PM

I found Gene Rayburn extremely annoying. He acted like such a fucking idiot on Match Game.

by Anonymousreply 24December 4, 2018 8:39 PM

But what did Patti Deutsch actually do? Was she an actress? A singer?

Game-show celebrities used to be the strangest breed - no one could ever figure out what they had done to become a celebrity.

by Anonymousreply 25December 4, 2018 8:53 PM

Deutsch was a member of the Ace Trucking Company in the 60s.

She branched into TV in the 70s.

by Anonymousreply 26December 4, 2018 8:57 PM

Funny, I don’t remember her in ANYTHING but Match Game.

by Anonymousreply 27December 4, 2018 8:58 PM

Patti was a regular on "Laugh-In" toward the end of its run and was also a frequent panelist on "Tattletales." With her husband, of course, whoever he was.

by Anonymousreply 28December 4, 2018 9:07 PM

Patty’s husband was a celebrity because of Patty’s star status.

by Anonymousreply 29December 4, 2018 9:43 PM

FUN FACT!!!

Marcia Wallace never forgave Brett for burning down her house while visiting.

by Anonymousreply 30December 4, 2018 10:20 PM

FUN FACT!!

Gary Burghoff studied with Charles Nelson Riley at HB studios.

by Anonymousreply 31December 4, 2018 10:22 PM

Wtf did Charles Nelson Reilly do to be a celebrity?

by Anonymousreply 32December 4, 2018 10:33 PM

Charles was in the original Broadway productions of "SkyScraper," "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Hello Dolly!" He won a Tony.

Charles was on the top rated "Ghost and Mrs. Muir" playing the nephew of the ghost Claymore Gregg.

Charles was on the Children show "Liddsville"

Charles directed Julie Harris on Broadway in "Belle of Amherst."

Those are all FUN FACTS!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 33December 4, 2018 10:46 PM

I'd love to chat more about Patty but she died of cancer.

by Anonymousreply 34December 4, 2018 10:54 PM

Patty sure was UGLY

by Anonymousreply 35December 4, 2018 11:19 PM

Was Gene Rayburn an alien?

by Anonymousreply 36December 4, 2018 11:23 PM

No he was just a strange, odd person. Perfect for the Match Game set.

by Anonymousreply 37December 4, 2018 11:24 PM

FUN FACT!!

R33 You forgot to mention that Charles Nelson Reilly stared with Uta Hagen in the epic B'Way bomb "Charlotte".

by Anonymousreply 38December 4, 2018 11:35 PM

Rayburn was a Yugoslav.

by Anonymousreply 39December 4, 2018 11:36 PM

Are Yugoslavs white-adjacent?

by Anonymousreply 40December 4, 2018 11:40 PM

The face seems vaguely familiar, but the name, not at all. I love her none the less, I trust the OP's judgment. The 70s were heaven on earth compared to now.

by Anonymousreply 41December 4, 2018 11:56 PM

On the whole, I found her funnier than Richard Dawson.

by Anonymousreply 42December 4, 2018 11:58 PM

Richard Dawson was unfunny.

by Anonymousreply 43December 5, 2018 12:00 AM

Dawson was smarmy.

by Anonymousreply 44December 5, 2018 12:05 AM

I saw her and her comedy writer husband at Debbie Reynold's "Irene" at the Shubert in Century City. Didn't know it was her until she spoke. I hated that she had the last seat on Match Game because she was always trying to write a joke instead of just play the game. You could see the look of dread on the contestant's faces if they had to match one more celebrity to stay in the game and that last celeb was Deutsch. I heard her on a comedy album called, I believe, the Hexorcist where she played Reagan. Perfect voice for it.

by Anonymousreply 45December 5, 2018 12:07 AM

FUN FACT!! I saw Charlotte and Charles did not speak a single word in the play!!!

by Anonymousreply 46December 5, 2018 12:16 AM

Barbara Sharma was in the OBC of Sweet Charity before Laugh In.

Did Patty invent fry?

by Anonymousreply 47December 5, 2018 12:23 AM

I ❤️ watching Match Game repeats everyday on GSN.

by Anonymousreply 48December 5, 2018 12:30 AM

r19

By which you mean your false teeth

by Anonymousreply 49December 5, 2018 2:10 AM

Did Patti die of upper frontal cancer?

by Anonymousreply 50December 5, 2018 2:12 AM

[R50]

Cancer? Yes.

Upper frontal? Not disclosed.

by Anonymousreply 51December 5, 2018 2:21 AM

[quote] But Jack and Brett stayed married loooong after they broke up so that none of his girlfriends could sue him when he dumped them.

Again, you're wrong. FUN FACT.

They divorced in 1977

by Anonymousreply 52December 5, 2018 3:36 AM

FUN LIE. Brett told me to my face she was still married Klugman, But I see according to wikipedia they did divorce. Wonder why she felt she had to make up that story?

by Anonymousreply 53December 5, 2018 7:03 AM

FUN FACT! 83% of Marcia Wallace's responses on Match Game included the phrases "ca ca", "poo poo" or "doo doo".

by Anonymousreply 54December 5, 2018 8:44 AM

Brett was a horrible player. She rarely matched any of the contestants. Richard was the best player but he seemed to wound tight.

by Anonymousreply 55December 5, 2018 10:50 AM

Didn't Patti do an impression of Jayne Mansfield, sneezing, on "The Merv Griffin Show"?

by Anonymousreply 56December 5, 2018 12:59 PM

Brett "what are those little things you pop in your mouth?" The answer was Life Savers. What a dumb bitch.

by Anonymousreply 57December 5, 2018 1:09 PM

r57 At least she didn't say "Jack Klugman's dick."

by Anonymousreply 58December 6, 2018 2:14 AM

I can't find any clips on YouTube of her on Merv Griffin, but here was one of her funnier moments on Match Game.

Richard Dawson did his best to ruin the joke.

During the Anita Bryant years, the Q was: I was in Vegas and hit a jackpot. Three oranges lined up and out came..... Deutsch's answer: "Dainty men".
