So, is Goldie Hawn coming out as a Republican?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 2, 2018 2:20 AM |
No. Tons of people liked him as a person.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 1, 2018 5:54 AM |
Most likely not. A lot of Dems have been supporting the Bush family due to their support of open borders.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 1, 2018 5:56 AM |
Kurt Russell is a Republican.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 1, 2018 5:58 AM |
You can dislike public policies and like the private person.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 1, 2018 5:59 AM |
So, what is the point of of opening your post with “so”, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 1, 2018 6:01 AM |
R2, Reagan and Bush-EOs for amnesty.
Clinton toughest immigration laws
Bush jr - welcoming
Obama- the great deporter.
So little rat faced moron, take your maga hat and shove it up your open borders
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 1, 2018 6:04 AM |
The thing about "winning" sure sounds Republican, though. Or did she mean "whining"?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 1, 2018 6:08 AM |
And yes, Kurt Russell is Republican. Which is why he apparently had no problem with a joke in that new Santa Netflix movie where he says Jewish kids got the Holocaust because they didn't believe in Santa.
Y'all need to pay more attention.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 1, 2018 6:09 AM |
Obama himself visited 41 just three days ago.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 1, 2018 6:11 AM |
Presidents pal around with each other, except Carter for some reason. This isn't the same thing.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 1, 2018 6:13 AM |
Obama is an ex-president. All the living ex-presidents are in an exclusive club - politics are irrelevant to it. Of course he visited out of respect.
And it's no secret that Kurt and Goldie are Repugs. R9 is correct.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 1, 2018 6:15 AM |
Carter was not a great President but Habitat For Humanity is a great organization.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 1, 2018 6:15 AM |
She couldn’t type the word ‘to’? She thought she needed to substitute it with the numeral ‘2’, why? To save space?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 1, 2018 6:18 AM |
Goldie also RT Obama re: McCain too & RT DiCaprio. Neither are Republicans. She's not GOP. Kurt is. She's a Dem.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 1, 2018 6:19 AM |
Goldie & Kurt are swingers. Kurt said he's not GOP but a "hardcore libertarian". She's a Dem.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 1, 2018 6:20 AM |
I have never known a hardcore libertarian who wasn't a Repug, but okay. Duly noted.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 1, 2018 6:22 AM |
Maybe not. Plenty of Dumbocrats worship the Bush nowadays.
That said, she does look like a Republican lady.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 1, 2018 6:26 AM |
Actually Carter was a great president. He didn't fire any shots or start any wars. He told the trilateral commission to fuck off and now everyone says he was "the worst president ever". If they're able to give a reason it's always a bullshit one. If mankind survives, history will judge him justly.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 1, 2018 6:27 AM |
Nah. She's just a mushy, gushy, fruit loop.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 1, 2018 6:30 AM |
Remember seeing that home they had for sale here? OMG, they have the WORST most dated 70's taste

He was the head of the CIA. One son was involved in the Savings and Loan looting of the country and the other was W brought the country back in the red after Clinton.
The only good thing one can say about him is that he was not as bad as Reagan.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 1, 2018 6:33 AM |
What does "great' mean in the context of a president? A great (ie principled) man, someone with great political savvy, someone with the gift of inspiring oratory and delivery who could motivate the people of the country to be better, or to do better? Maybe we need to change the term we use to successful or not successful.
LBJ was a successful president. Against the fiercest possible opposition, he accomplished the passage of civil rights legislation that no one believed was possible. Not to mention Fair Education, Medicare, Medicaid, Head Start, Food stamps. He was also a horrible human being in many respects. crude, sexist, narcisstic, foul-mouthed.
By that kind of measure, Carter was unsuccessful. He did not understand the art of twisting arms in public or in private, to get his legislative goals accomplished and history will record that as a failure. By other measures (intelligence, compassion, principles), he was one of our greatest presidents.
HW was not hugely successful as a president, but he revamped the clean air act, help put savings and loans on a better financial footing (never mind that his son (and John McCain) were big players in the mess that was going on in that industry). tried to have an orderly international transition as the Soviet Union dissolved, etc. He was not a intelligent, compassionate, or principled as Carter, but ahead of quite a few other past presidents in these areas. I would describe him as a middling president. Not the best by a long shot, not the worst, especially compared to his son and to Trump.

I have huge respect for Carter. He brought China to the table, no mean feat back then. He’s a pacifist and humanitarian and that never plays well with the #AmericaFirst war worshipping no-necks.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 1, 2018 3:40 PM |
She’s a pretend Democrat.

[quote]You can dislike public policies and like the private person.
No, you really can't.
One's public policies are a reflection of one's personal beliefs. So, either they are enacting public policies contrary to their person beliefs, which would make them hypocrites, or they are enacting reprehensible public policies that reflects their personal beliefs.
You really cannot have it both ways.

[quote]Presidents pal around with each other, except Carter for some reason.
Trust me -- they won't be palling around with our current president, either.

She probably fucked him sometime between “Cactus Flower” and “Private Benjamin.”
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 1, 2018 4:21 PM |
No it hasn't R28. Just google Goldie Hawn twitter.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 1, 2018 4:33 PM |
Barbra Streisand praised him and Barbara a few weeks ago on Bill Maher's show. Whether you agree with them politically or not, everyone agrees that they were a lovely couple.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 1, 2018 4:39 PM |
R30 when you click the link in the OP post, it goes to an error message
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 1, 2018 4:42 PM |
No, you really can't disagree with someone politically and still like him/her as a person.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 1, 2018 5:31 PM |
That is why I said to google it R32.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 1, 2018 6:06 PM |
R26, please see R34 and weigh in again. In all seriousness.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 1, 2018 6:21 PM |
R7 I thought Reba was a Bush-supporting Republican. When did Reba become a Democrat? After Travesty Trump was "elected"?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 1, 2018 6:24 PM |
Goldie is famously liberal and campaigned for Hillary in 2016.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 1, 2018 6:25 PM |
How do we know Reba is a Democrat? I thought she was rapidly Republican but can't find any definitive online.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 1, 2018 6:35 PM |
Chris Evert is a Republican too. But at least she's a pro-choice Republican, ain't you Chrissie? Ha!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 1, 2018 6:44 PM |
My favorite Goldie Hawn moment.
She was really a huge fan of the Dalai Lama. Back in the 90s, he came to NYC to speak. She attended and sat on the front row. One of the snarky Village Voice writers commented on how skimpy her dress was and said with her sitting on the front row, the Dalai Lama could see all the way to the homeland he loved.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 1, 2018 6:56 PM |
R26 I’m sorry your intellectual capacity is so limited you don’t find it possible that someone can be charming and likeable while at the same time you don’t agree with them.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 1, 2018 6:57 PM |
Maybe YOU can’t, r33.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 1, 2018 7:10 PM |
R9 Isn't Goldie Jewish? In any case, I call bullshit on that claim. Also, Goldie worked with and is friendly Amy Shumer who is second only to Lena Dunham as the most obnoxious liberal in the business.
