If the OP is NOT trolling, then a part of the reason he likes a song from his high school days is that everyone likes the music from their high school days and thinks those songs were "the best" songs ever.

There is some truth to what r28 says. This song expressed everything I wanted in seventh grade (junior high, but still...)
