I guess I don't agree with you here in terms of Ocasio-Corez/Clinton parallels. There may be some anti-Democrat and anti-liberal trolls attacking both, but Ocasio-Corez is being attacked for very different reasons than Clinton. For one, I don't recall emails ever being framed as an issue of inexperience, which seems to be the one issue people have with Ocasio-Corez.

I have said before, let's see what Ocasio-Corez can bring to the table as a politician before we dismiss her.

I think there are some real trolls on DL and all over the net for that matter. I also think there are people here who can't handle anyone disagreeing with them. They scream troll because they have no argument.

In my experience a lot of people who label themselves progressives have a hard time with nuance. They accuse everyone of being a republican or fascist or democrat in name only. They'll do this over the smallest differences. When I was in school in the early nineties there were students concerned about budget cuts. They couldn't work together because of tactics. One faction wanted to run a letter writing campaign and have meetings with the representatives and have respectful discussions. The progressive faction wanted loud protests only. The progressives accused the other group of being Republicans. They all wanted the same thing. Incidentally antisemitism was rampant in the Progessive Coalition. Also the campus communists hated the progressive coalition. The PC ( yes that's how they referred to themselves) controlled the student government and shut the Communists and everyone else out. The left doesn't need internet trolls for in fighting.
