The White House is not required to have press conferences. And Trump has only banned Acosta, not all of CNN. If CNN is really doing this, they need to stop it because Trump could just shut down press conferences completely.

Every reporter in the pool should ask Acosta's question until it gets answered or his credentials are reinstated - nothing else, put it on repeat.

I think reporters who ask 1 question then try to make it a 7 part question are rude. And it seems to happen to every president administration. What ticks me off is when they Get a answer that they can't answer that or they have no information about it then the reporter or a different one then ask the same question again in a different way like they were not listening or being stupid

It’s not the media’s job to be polite. It’s their job to make government accountable under the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. The White House is not Trump’s property - it’s Government property. Any misstatement of fact by the President or any representative is a criminal act and the media should be way up their ass as it ranges from misdemenaor to felony.

There’s nothing trivial about what the President and his administration are doing. It’s no different than what Bush Reagan did under Iran-Contra or Nixon during Watergate. Lying to the people using official communication is a criminal act.

By filing an action and forcing the Administration to reopen the all the press, it forces the White House to stop the grandstanding it’s been engaging in. It may also force Congress to start hearings about violations of the Constitution by this Administration - which may well be impeachable offenses.

A White House press pass is a privilege not a Constitutional right. We still have Free Speech and Freedom of the Press even if a private company like CNN has to find a new reporter to cover the White House.

From what I've seen, legal experts tend to agree that CNN has an open-and-shut case, on First Amendment grounds, because the White House decision was arbitrary.
