Mamie wouldn’t have looked half so bad if she could’ve been persuaded to use a hairdresser to get a decent style. OK her hair was fine and thin but a stylist can work with that, that’s why women used to get a “set” once a week - curlers and setting lotion and it was hard as shellac.
