I was mad about Robbie Benson. I always thought Rob Lowe, though similar, was only about 60% as good-looking, never crossing into Benson territory. I was surprised he became the bigger star.

I hate to admit this, but his voice was so strangely whispery and fey that I could never really enjoy him when he was younger. Then he did the voice acting in 'Beauty and the Beast', and I realized how deep and strong his voice actually was, and was converted. He's gorgeous, and talented.
