WHY?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 24, 2018 2:28 AM |
They should totally do this and jazz it up by adding some superheroes.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 24, 2018 2:30 AM |
Can they just... Try something new?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 24, 2018 2:30 AM |
With female lead?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 24, 2018 2:31 AM |
Who would play Captain Jack Sparrow?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 24, 2018 2:33 AM |
So they just produce shit on a constant loop now?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 24, 2018 2:34 AM |
NO!! Stop all this rebooting shit unless they wait a respectable length of time.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 24, 2018 2:36 AM |
Might make sense if they build it on Anne Bonny.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 24, 2018 2:49 AM |
Wow. It's not news, of course, but money really is all that matters to these toads.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 24, 2018 3:55 AM |
We need someone younger looking than Depp now, definitely.

Trans Captain Jacqueline Fernandez Sparrow

Nobody wants to see this without Johnny Depp. Sadly, nobody wants to see it with Johnny Depp.

I went kicking and screaming to the first one. I thought this POS would never end. The longest 2 1/2 hours of my eldergay life.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 24, 2018 11:42 PM |
The first film was a fun novelty. The second film was okay. The third film was a horrible mess. They needed to stop at the second film.
I got the sense that the first three were some kind of launching pad for Orlando Bloom, but they should have known that Depp's cool pirate would drive the thing. If they had cast Kate Winslet as Elizabeth Swan and got rid of Will Turner, they could have created a better character driven series.
Just stick a fork in it because it's way past done.

R12 is correct on both counts.
Reboot what? Do they mean continue the shitshow series or remake them all?
And why can't anyone come up with any new ideas?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 25, 2018 12:30 AM |
Isn't it too early for a reboot?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 25, 2018 12:32 AM |
Is it too soon to reboot Guardians of the Galaxy? What about Black Panther?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 25, 2018 12:41 AM |
i hope it's a trans pirate fighting cis pirates.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 25, 2018 12:43 AM |
We can't wait to remake the original Star Wars, Alien and Back to the Future franchises!
Let's do the Titanic while we are at it!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 25, 2018 12:46 AM |
Those are way too old R19
Let’s reboot Ready Player One and A Wrinkle In Time!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 25, 2018 12:53 AM |
r20 excuse me?? My version of Wrinkle is a classic!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 25, 2018 2:57 AM |
It’s so five minutes ago

I imagine Johnny Depp is sitting at home, drinking ridiculously over-priced wine and screaming, "BOX OFFICE POISON!" while rattling all his jewelry and also wearing shoulder pads.
Wig on or wig off--what say you Datalounge?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 25, 2018 3:59 AM |
Let's have a new film version of The Pirates of Penzance. Angela's film of Joe Papp's version just didn't work.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 27, 2018 2:46 AM |
Ridiculous.
The first movie was fun. They went down-hill fast after that, each one getting worse and worse and worse.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 27, 2018 2:51 AM |
I think Spiderman is due for reboot #4, no?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 27, 2018 2:59 AM |
I’m actually surprised they haven’t rebooted Back to the Future yet.

Jack Sparrow's son, Jack, Jr., will transition into a lusty lass, Jacqueline Sparrow, leading a lascivious league of lecherous privateers who profanely pillage and plunder as the bisexual, gender-neutral crew on their ship, the Social Justice Warrior, embarks on a never-ending crusade guaranteed to yield at least five sequels.
Golden....
