...by Liberals, that is. Obviously California for Deporables. I'd say Texas draws the most disdain from the Liberal side.
They are alll flyover shitstains

Missouri and Kansas should be on there too. Those places along with Oklahoma frighten me. Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Louisiana all have liberal islands of one sort or another within their borders. West Virginia may be worse than all since it’s so white. Hard to pick just one.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 2, 2018 5:00 AM |
R2 Nebraska the flyover corn hell hole also
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 2, 2018 5:06 AM |
I say Oklahoma. Both OK and WV went for Trump in every single county. Oklahoma has more people and worse landscape than West Virginia. Ergo...
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 2, 2018 5:18 AM |
I picked Oklahoma as well. And I live in Missouri, which is not much better

Florida: Pulse nightclub, laws encouraging universal gun proliferation, stand-your-ground, laws that support opioid addiction (and that shield big pharma from responsibility), stealing the presidency from Al Gore, hanging chads, Mar-A-Lago, and general assholeism.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 2, 2018 5:22 AM |
I voted for Kentucky because they gave us both McConnell and that poser Rand Paul. If the Carolinas had been on there, I might have voted one of them.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 2, 2018 5:42 AM |
Oklahoma. The people are idiots. And that’s an insult to idiots the world over.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 2, 2018 5:46 AM |
Texas has a lot of large liberal bastions - many more red spots than OK, MS, AL
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 2, 2018 5:47 AM |
You failed to mention Indiana, home of Pence.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 2, 2018 5:50 AM |
New York has lost a lot of the affinity it gained from 9/11.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 2, 2018 5:59 AM |
Louisiana shouldn't be on the list. We have a Democratic governor, and Baton Rouge and New Orleans have largely Democratic governments. Democrats outnumber Republicans among registered voters. And until a decade or so ago, we sent Democrats to congress. And, historically, we had Huey and Earl Long.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 2, 2018 6:01 AM |
Indiana or Oklahoma
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 2, 2018 2:22 PM |
I once spoke to a University President who had lived in both Texas and Oklahoma and she told me that Texas was a liberal bastion compared to Oklahoma.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 2, 2018 2:44 PM |
I'l say TX because it controls so much of the textbook trade in the US...with terrible books.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 2, 2018 2:46 PM |
Forget about Texas. Its turning blue before too long.

Arizona! Desert rat scum!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 2, 2018 3:10 PM |
Nevada is actually a deep red state, despite the fact that it is depicted as blue or purple. Yes, Hillary won Nevada by a tiny margin. But that was from Democratic voters in the two big cities (Las Vegas and Reno). Remove those two cities and the rest of Nevada is deeply Republican. The county I live in went to Trump by 75%.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 2, 2018 3:25 PM |
Georgia.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 2, 2018 3:28 PM |
Remove Clark County and Washoe County and there is barely anyone left in Nevada. There are a lot of "Don't Tread on Me" sovereign citizen types living out in the outback but their numbers are much smaller than a state filled with them like Oklahoma. Less churchy too which is a boon.

Yeah, its true Arizona is a shithole of under-educated deplorable scum. We drive through it regularly on our way to Palm Springs and just a few pit stops for gas and food tell you all you need to know about the place. No idea why the gays live there.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 2, 2018 4:10 PM |
R18, do many people in NV live outside of those two cities?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 2, 2018 4:20 PM |
I've lived in Texas for several years-- there are drastically more Beto and Valdez signs, shirts and stickers than Cruz/Paxton/Conservative anything in my dull north Dallas suburb.

Florida followed by Texas as far as horrible politicians and people.

Jackson, the capital of Mississippi, is actually pretty liberal and filled with lots of open minded, interesting people. Whites and blacks living in peace with each other, gays walking around without too much judgement, etc. Once you start getting into the smaller towns, though...holy shit. It's terrifying.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 2, 2018 7:04 PM |
Florida is the one that always creates the most social and political problems, Texas is the most powerful, Mississippi is the most embarrassing, Oklahoma is the most hardcore conservative.

by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 2, 2018 8:45 PM |
hard to hate pathetic shitholes of poverty, ignorance, racism and addiction like WVa, SC, MS, etc. Much easier to hate powerful bastions of assholery and douchiness like TX and FL as they do so much damage to the rest of the country with their electoral votes.

Don Johnson and Kathleen Turner also both originated in that godforsaken corner of Missouri, along with Brad Pitt (raised there from a toddler, but born in OK). Anyway, not to be racial but Alabama and Mississippi have a lot of fun people of color, but their white populations, well...
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 2, 2018 10:30 PM |
Nah, Texas has potential. Especially if Beto wins in November, then expect the Democratic party to go all in on Texas and for the Southwest to turn into a Liberal mecca.
However, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Oklahoma...tsk tsk...

Not so fast, Louisiana. You have north Louisiana, which is a terrifying hellhole... But, for the title of most hated state, I think that honor has to go to Mississippi (which is essentially the same as north Louisiana).
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 3, 2018 12:29 AM |

You know, people like Judge Roy Moore and all those who voted for him.

Texas combines racism, oversized ego, and entitlement with that ignorance. Nobody loves killing people like a Texan.

What about Pennsylvania, since it is primarily responsible for Trump's victory? Flipping from a reliably blue state in recent years, to decisively red in favor of Trump.

I've been to Oklahoma ---OKC.. Right wing HELLHOLE. I've never known more Gay People who were victims of crime than in Oklahoma. Gays are even bashed at the PRIDE PARADES. No joke. I once went to the hospital to pick up a friend who was gay bashed----and the COP told me at the hospital "Let us know if you want us to investigate"====think about that----the POLICE tell a man BEATEN TO A PULP for leaving a gay bar---to let THEM know if THEY should investigate. I literally knew people who were killed and filed under "unsolved crimes"..I left, I couldn't handle seeing friends robbed, bashed, and even killed. I know Texas gets more publicity but at least the have Gay Neighborhoods like Oak Lawn where Gays are SAFE.

Nevada population: 3,056,824 total
Clark County (Las Vegas area): 2,204,079 (72.1% of total)
Washoe County (Reno area): 460,587 (15.1% of total)
Rest of Nevada: 392,158 (12.8% of total)
It's those 392,158 who blanket the rest of the state outside the "blue islands" of Reno and Vegas that really make it a sea of deep red. In fact they were so alarmed by Hillary's narrow win in 2016 that there is a small campaign to "Make Nevada Red Again."

It's a tie between Florida and TX.
- I grew up in OK in the 70s and 80s and it was much more live and let live and blue back then. OK didn't go hard core red state until the millennium.

Then again, South Carolina was the first state to secede from the Union at the start of the Civil War.

Florida Florida Florida
How many times do we read the news, see the worst this nation has to offer and find that it came from or is occurring in Florida? It's such a freak show of ancient reactionary white people, third generation Cuban exiles and trash that blew down from the rest of the country and ran out of places to run.
Florida is nothing but trouble and skin cancer and old people smell except for the Keys, we'll keep them.
