Sexuality isn't rigid for some people, and many actors have at least a flexible boundary when it comes to sex/sexuality. You have to be real and authentic in a moment, and if you're acting that out in a play or a TV show/film, either that flexibility is there to begin with, or it becomes flexible as you play a part.

I've worked in TV and in community theater, and have personally witnessed at least a half dozen times dudes who were happily married and/or pussyhounds in the midst of some serious lust with their male costars, especially if a gay story was involved.

It's why I can believe B. Coop with either Garber or (especially) Neeson. Even if Coop and Neeson are both straight or identify as such. Not everything is black/white, up/down, gay/straight.
