...is gorgeous! And smart. She’s gonna kick some culo.
I bet Trump would toss a paper towel roll directly to her.

LOL r1; the pageant was actually celebrated on the exact first anniversary of Hurricane Maria’s landfall in Puerto Rico.

She went through Wuite a transformation during the course of the pageant. Her handlers should be congratulated ... or hired by Jennifer Love Hewitts management.

Hers is a true Cinderella story of a complete unknown newcomer who had a great beauty team and worked her ass (and chins) during the course of the pageant, to become the clear favorite. There was no doubt she would be the heads-above-all winner last night.

She's going to be another Alicia Machado.
Alicia lost tons of weight and got a heap of plastic surgery before the pageant.
Once she became Miss Universe, she packed on the pounds again!
In this girl's "before" picture, you can see that she wasn't naturally thin. But then she lost a ton of weight for the pageant.
I remember Miss PR 2006 (Zuleyka Rivera) lost so much weight, that she actually fainted after winning the crown at Miss Universe.
These women totally starve themselves for pageants, and it's so unhealthy.

Worked her ass (and chins) OFF*

Here's Alicia Machado's before and after winning Miss Universe 1996.

Those abs don’t say “starving.”

It's disgusting when natural fatties win beauty pageants.

Zuleyka Rivera (Miss Puerto Rico 2006 / Miss Universe 2006).
She looked sickly, when she won the crown.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 21, 2018 11:57 AM |
And here's Zuleyka a year later, crowning her successor.
MUCH healthier.

Most Miss Universes gain weight during their reign, especially the Latina girls, who genetically tend to be curvier below the waist. The pressure is off, the food is plenty in the activities they have to attend, and there’s little time to hit the gym. But Alicia Machado was indeed an extreme case.

Here's Donald Trump fighting with Alicia, regarding her weight.
Rrrreowwwrrr!

Reminds me when I used to do cruise ship shows. The female dancers, used to taking ballet, jazz and tap every day, all of a sudden were thrust into these six months contracts where they did two shows a week with no access to dance classes, limited access to gyms and spas and lots of access to cruise food.
Girl dancer: “Something happened to these costumes! Who washed them last? They’ve shrunk! My thong just ripped!”
Boy dancer: “Honey that’s not the only thing that’s gonna rip if you keep eating them cookies from the midnight buffet and I have to keep lifting your fat ass!”

Alicia came back to haunt Donald Trump, 20 years later...
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 21, 2018 12:08 PM |
Fat lot of good it did, R17.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 21, 2018 12:14 PM |
That’s a bad pic of Zuleyka r12. Here she is during her bathing suit competition in 2006, ...
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 21, 2018 12:14 PM |
...and of course, I’m sure you’ve seen her ten years later in the video of Despacito
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 21, 2018 12:16 PM |
The new girl, however, doesn’t take a single bad picture.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 21, 2018 12:17 PM |
I loved Zuly in Despacito, R20!
The point was that she looks so much healthier when she's not anorexic.
What's sad about the new Miss PR is that she is following the same pattern. Stick thin is not her natural body type, but she's forced to lose a ton of weight, just to be "competitive." I think that sucks.
Zuleyka and Alicia look so much better at their natural weight.

Five billion views for Zuleyka Rivera in Despacito!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 21, 2018 12:21 PM |
It’s definitely true that Zuki looks better now than she ever did. She was a judge in the pageant yesterday and she had some nice curves going (4 Puerto Rican ex Miss Universes were put to work yesterday - they’re all fuller than when they won of course, but they still look beautiful).
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 21, 2018 12:29 PM |
Puerto Ricans are some of the most beautiful - and sexy - people on the planet. Wonder why? Must be some genetic combo.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 21, 2018 6:06 PM |
Yes we are, r26. It’s a perfectly balanced mixture of three races, ethnicities, and sexually charged cultures.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 22, 2018 3:13 AM |
Four Puerto Rican Miss Universes. Lots of curves. Rumor has it the very first one, 1970’s Marisol Malaret, was ill.

Is there where all the DL str8 guys hang out?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 22, 2018 11:49 AM |
Yeah, r29, because you know str8 guys LOVE pageants.

Hey DL pageant fans, did you all know that Chelsi Smith (Miss Universe 1995) passed away? I was shocked.
She was one of my favorites, and I had no idea that she was even ill.
Anyone know the scoop on her liver cancer? 45 years old is really young to die of that disease.
I know that she was struggling with her weight, and such. I wonder if it had anything to do with her illness?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 23, 2018 9:59 AM |
R32, she was diagnosed inSprung if 2017, and it was as unexpected for her as her death was for us. She kept to herself and moved in with her mom her last year of life. Very sad.
