It's an Oleg Cassini, silk chiffon, which was originally paired with a gorgeous matching black-silk shoulderless sheath dress, with a black sequined silk chiffon overlay, exquisitely fitted. Wish I would have kept it.

Gladys did the unforgivable as far as Aretha was concerned. In her book, Gladys discussed the travails of Aretha's mother and Aretha shut her out of her life even though they were childhood friends. There is the show that Oprah did for her 50th birthday that had Aretha and Gladys sharing the stage and Aretha never even looked at her for the whole time they sat across from each other. A broadly smiling Gladys was trying to get her to acknowledge her presence, but Aretha wasn't having it. I don't think they ever really made up, but who knows?
