R35 that’s funny you posted that because a friend of mine (who I haven’t seen in ages) guested on CA with one of the Landers sisters, but I think it was Audrey- who, yes was much prettier.

The Landers sisters were hilariously dishonest about their ages, particularly Audrey. She was on a show called "Vegas" back in the late 70s/early 80s which starred Robert Urich. I think that was her first real gig. Then in the late 80s I saw her on one of the talk shows and she was claiming to be 23, which would have made her 14 or 15 when she was on Vegas. Then Audrey, who was the same age as I am when she was on the soap Somerset miraculously turned back the clock making her 8 years younger than I in the 90s. You could sort of get away with that before the internet...you could never get away with it now.

R29 Audrey became a pretty good singer about half way through her career. She did a more than adequate job before, but she wasn't the greatest chanteuse of the era even though she has been around longer than Madonna. Her song "Jim, Jeff and Johnny" sounds like it could be a DL anthem.

I think I actually saw Judy on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress. One of her daughters was getting married and they were at Kleinfeld's for a dress.

The campiest moment in the recent Dallas reboot is when Audrey reprised her role as Caftan. I wished the reboot had more of those. Joan Van Ark, Charlene Tlton were basically relegated to extra work in the episodes they were in but Audrey was given a storyline which seemed weird.

As a previous poster mentioned, Judy looked a little like Tory Spelling. Whenever she pops up on an Aaron Spelling show (Charlie's Angels, Love Boat, Vegas etc.) I wonder if she was a relative of his (secret lovechild?), or if it was just his narcissism finding her gorgeous and casting her often - after all most of us find people who look like us attractive.

About five years ago, I saw the Landers sisters at an autograph show in Chicago. They looked okay, but their gowns (yes, gowns), hair and makeup were way too mug for daytime (I know, Mary!) Noticed a truly cringeworthy moment when some guy asked if he could take a photo of them as they made their way through the lobby. They graciously agreed (typically the celebs at these shows might charge for a photo op) and then the guy said, “And who are you?” Ouch.
