Audrey appears to have had a singing career in Europe in the 1980s (9 albums). It doesn't appear any of them were released in the U.S.

It is fun to watch A Chorus Line and try to notice how Landers occasionally disappears from the dance numbers when they get too hard. (like at the very end of this number)

One of them married a rich guy who belonged to my Mother's Country Club. Don't know which one.

Recently saw Audrey in a Hallmark movie and she looked great!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 26, 2018 4:47 AM |
Audrey was viewed as the more intelligent one... a low bar for sure
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 26, 2018 4:50 AM |
R12, your video shows that dancing did not come easily nor naturally to Judy. You can practically see her counting to herself. You can also see her catching very quick peaks at Audrey for a clue as to what to do next.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 26, 2018 7:36 AM |
Audrey was the female Hasselhoff: she was very popular in Germany in the 80s and her singing career there (in German!) lasted well after she was largely forgotten here.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 26, 2018 7:41 AM |
Audrey sort of looks like a young Naomi Judd.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 26, 2018 8:07 AM |
It always seemed odd how she got cast in A Chorus Line. She was kind of a B-List TV star and then suddenly she is in ACL where she couldn't keep up with the dancers and they didn't want stars in the cast except Michael Douglas. She did sing the song well though.

R30 YES! Good call.
R35 that’s funny you posted that because a friend of mine (who I haven’t seen in ages) guested on CA with one of the Landers sisters, but I think it was Audrey- who, yes was much prettier.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 26, 2018 10:14 AM |
The Landers sisters were hilariously dishonest about their ages, particularly Audrey. She was on a show called "Vegas" back in the late 70s/early 80s which starred Robert Urich. I think that was her first real gig. Then in the late 80s I saw her on one of the talk shows and she was claiming to be 23, which would have made her 14 or 15 when she was on Vegas. Then Audrey, who was the same age as I am when she was on the soap Somerset miraculously turned back the clock making her 8 years younger than I in the 90s. You could sort of get away with that before the internet...you could never get away with it now.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 26, 2018 10:51 AM |
I apologize for screwing up the first part of my comment. It was JUDY who was on Vegas, not Audrey.

They may have worked in entertainment, but something tells me the money they made from performing can't possibly compare to the money they made hoing for Hollywood producers, execs, and all around big wigs.

R34- Those Chippendale's dancers look super queeny. I've been watching a documentary on amazon called All Male All Nude about a male strip club in Atlanta. The guys in the documentary are so much more hetero seeming and less faggy than those Chippendale homos.

Both of them married well back in the 80's (Audrey - a businessman, Judy - an ex-MLB player)
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 26, 2018 1:54 PM |
My grandmother loved Audrey's music. It was cheesy evergreens. Whenever my grandmother drove me around she listened to Audrey and that song Santo Domingo.

Judy married Tom Niedenfeurer, ex Dodgers pitcher in the 80’s. They are still married and have 2 giants for daughters.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 26, 2018 2:03 PM |
R29 Audrey became a pretty good singer about half way through her career. She did a more than adequate job before, but she wasn't the greatest chanteuse of the era even though she has been around longer than Madonna. Her song "Jim, Jeff and Johnny" sounds like it could be a DL anthem.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 26, 2018 2:08 PM |
I think I actually saw Judy on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress. One of her daughters was getting married and they were at Kleinfeld's for a dress.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 26, 2018 2:27 PM |
Judy is a big Trump supporter. That should tell you all you need to know about that bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 26, 2018 2:34 PM |
The campiest moment in the recent Dallas reboot is when Audrey reprised her role as Caftan. I wished the reboot had more of those. Joan Van Ark, Charlene Tlton were basically relegated to extra work in the episodes they were in but Audrey was given a storyline which seemed weird.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 26, 2018 2:38 PM |
I'm the guy who made the "hoing for Hollywood execs......." comment, only half in jest. Glad a few of you have corrected me in my error. Glad to be wrong. Apologies for the sakes of the Landers sisters.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 26, 2018 2:42 PM |
As a previous poster mentioned, Judy looked a little like Tory Spelling. Whenever she pops up on an Aaron Spelling show (Charlie's Angels, Love Boat, Vegas etc.) I wonder if she was a relative of his (secret lovechild?), or if it was just his narcissism finding her gorgeous and casting her often - after all most of us find people who look like us attractive.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 26, 2018 2:44 PM |
I seem to recall some hullaballoo back in the '80s about some Japanese tycoon coming over to South Florida on a visit buying up a whole bunch of real estate AND one of the Lander sisters...
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 26, 2018 2:59 PM |
Agreed about Audrey disappearing in the more taxing dance moments in “A Chorus Line”, R9 — I always noticed that, too!
About five years ago, I saw the Landers sisters at an autograph show in Chicago. They looked okay, but their gowns (yes, gowns), hair and makeup were way too mug for daytime (I know, Mary!) Noticed a truly cringeworthy moment when some guy asked if he could take a photo of them as they made their way through the lobby. They graciously agreed (typically the celebs at these shows might charge for a photo op) and then the guy said, “And who are you?” Ouch.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 26, 2018 3:02 PM |

I've been on a Delta flight from Amsterdam with Audrey and her gay "singer" son. She was "introducing" him to the gate agents like he was some new big star. She stood in the business class line and then onboard they were seated in economy.

by Anonymous | reply 69 | August 26, 2018 10:09 PM |
Audrey reprised Afton in the new Dallas; at Pamela Rebecca and John Ross' wedding the groom was late and Afton made some crack about the worst thing that JR had ever done; and Sue Ellen snapped back: "Afton, the worst thing JR ever did -- was you!"
Whoever thought back in the early 80s when Sue Ellen learned of JR and Afton's fling that she'd be able to slam her about it decades later.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | August 26, 2018 10:27 PM |
WOW. According to Wikipedia, they are two years apart. I swear to you that since the early 1980's I have always believed them to be identical twins. Seriously. Flabbergasted.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 26, 2018 10:33 PM |
They've never looked identical
by Anonymous | reply 72 | August 26, 2018 10:39 PM |
I think Dennis Miller had a funny joke about them. He was referencing the OJ trial. And how obvious it was that OJ did it. “ the bloody shoe prints...the Bruno Maglis...the blood in the Land Rover....that’s a trail of clues even the Landers Sisters could follow!”
by Anonymous | reply 73 | August 26, 2018 11:02 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 77 | August 27, 2018 3:03 AM |
r70, clever Wildean retort on Sue Ellen's part, but I would think her younger sister was the worst thing J.R. ever did, especially since the tramp went and shot him and tried to frame her big sister for it. Afton was the least of J.R.'s scandalous flings.

I've been watching the Pyramid shows on youtube and look who showed up!
That Charlie Siebert guy from Trapper John was always sort of sexy to me as a kid btw.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | August 31, 2018 10:27 AM |
Agree about Charles Siebert - he wore a horrible toupee but he was hot.
I've met Audrey and she's a sweet lady and very smart despite the dim sister act. She was one of the best younger actresses on tv in the early-mid 70's. Then she dyed her hair blonde and made a deliberate attempt at being a bimbo.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | August 31, 2018 10:43 AM |

Audrey was on the soap Somerset back in the 70's. In an effort to shave a few years off her age in the 80's she said she was 14 when she started the show.

by Anonymous | reply 91 | September 2, 2018 7:23 AM |
R91, if Judy Landers was really born in 1961, that would have made her 17 (or 16, depending on her alleged DOB) when she started filming “Vegas”. How naive (or blind) did she think people were?!

Judy Landers appeared on two episodes of "Charlie's Angels". r35 is from the Season 2 episode "Angels on the Run".
