Iniki was brutal, I was there a year before and a year after. The front of the hotel where I stayed was just *gone*. And that was a Category 4.

Because I know that spending time over land masses can make a hurricane lose strength, but there aren't a lot of land masses near Hawaii.

It's now a Category 4--still heading to Hawaii though.

It'll be a 3 shortly.
