If you will be near downtown, BrickTown is the entertainment district.

R8 they've added a ton of stuff to the downtown area, it's quite nice. Head to Bricktown, OP. Also check out the OKC museum of art, last time I went they had an amazing glass exhibit.

Oh and yeah the Habana Inn if you're looking to pick someone up. The bar there, at least.

There's also the Oklahoma City National Memorial downtown.

In Oklahoma City all seems to breathe freedom and peace and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils.

Desolate and oppressive. I felt a gnawing sense of dread for every minute that I was there. Couldn't wait to leave.

Not sure about that (although there IS a Republican governor, so probably) but there are some oil derricks on the capitol grounds!

Go to the Skirvin downtown and have a martini. It's the closest they come to urban-fancy. The Habana is a scream. And there are a few gay bars nearby that aren't terrible. Tho the last time I was there, they were all a flutter that Juju Bee was coming to do a show in three months.
