Peter Phillips. Mark Phillips is the ex husband.

That's not mark Phillips, OP. Her son is named Prince Andrew.

Probably. His dad had it back in the day, and (based on interviews) he was so dull that being dicknotized is the only reason Anne would have stayed with him as long as she did.

He looks like the gay son of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert Victor. Some of the Hanovers can be somewhat handsome. Prince William has those genes. However, there is usually the Hanoverian bulging eyes in those faces.

by Anonymousreply 17July 28, 2018 11:40 PM

I see a lot of Prince William in that pic at OP.

by Anonymousreply 18July 28, 2018 11:50 PM

No. Not handsome. Jowly.

Chatto has the handsome genes from his grandfather Lord Snowden and a hint of the sexy Jewish genes from Snowden's mother's family. And yeah jowly is also Hanoverian even with the best of them.

by Anonymousreply 23July 29, 2018 12:01 AM

The York sisters look very good in the picture at R16.

by Anonymousreply 24July 29, 2018 12:07 AM

What about how Anne took her kids out of the royal business? Do they like that?

by Anonymousreply 25July 29, 2018 12:11 AM

R25. Anne's kids are so far down on the line of succession that Anne probably felt it would be too much pressure to be lesser royals and that they would succeed much better as aristocratic commoners.

by Anonymousreply 26July 29, 2018 12:15 AM

William looks like Prince Philip in R32’s post. Didn’t Peter do the unthinkable for British royalty — marry a Catholic? A whore or 3rd rate actress is one thing, but a Catholic is much worse.

by Anonymousreply 35July 29, 2018 1:08 AM

Yes, she looked much better before that hairdo.

Was there ever an explanation why she wore her hair like that?

by Anonymousreply 51July 29, 2018 2:37 AM

R51. I think Peter comes off just fine and not someone with an air of superiority. I think for such a lengthy interview, they should have been sitting so all parties could have been more relaxed. But I understand why they were on the mall discussing the queen's 90th birthday celebration. His wife is appropriately polite and pleasant giving deference to the royal family and saying they're sort of like any other family.

by Anonymousreply 52July 29, 2018 3:09 AM

I just wanna suck Peter's Peter.

by Anonymousreply 53July 29, 2018 3:22 AM

Peter Phillips is said to be Prince Phillip's favorite grandchild.

by Anonymousreply 54July 29, 2018 3:50 AM

Peter doesn't have the posh voice of his cousins the two princes, which is quite nice. And Autumn has retained her Canadian accent.

They seem like a nice couple.

by Anonymousreply 55July 29, 2018 3:54 AM

Peter Brady was my favourite TV child.

by Anonymousreply 56July 29, 2018 3:55 AM

Why didn’t Anne want her children to get titles?

by Anonymousreply 57July 29, 2018 12:25 PM

Peter Phillips: rosebud or coin slot? Discuss.

by Anonymousreply 58July 29, 2018 12:30 PM

If they don't take the titles (and any public money), they have a lot more freedom to live their own lives, R57. I think it's a smart choice: Beatrice and Eugenie would probably be happier if Andrew had just let them be Lady Beatrice and Lady Eugenie, and not kept trying to foist them on the general public.

by Anonymousreply 59July 29, 2018 1:13 PM

I mean, in that case Beatrice and Eugenie would still have had titles, but not being princesses would have made the target on their backs much smaller. Having no titles at all would have made it smaller still.

by Anonymousreply 60July 29, 2018 1:14 PM

[quote]Beatrice and Eugenie would probably be happier if Andrew had just let them be Lady Beatrice and Lady Eugenie, and not kept trying to foist them on the general public.

Please, they probably WANT to be princesses. It's not Andrew's fault.

by Anonymousreply 61July 29, 2018 1:29 PM

Get those cataracts taken care of, OP.

by Anonymousreply 62July 29, 2018 2:23 PM

I think that the allure of royalty is what lends attractiveness to most of these people, who are not merely ordinary, but ugly by most standards.

None of the British Saxe-Coburgs (or Windsors) are good-looking by any stretch of the imagination, as they seem to be immune to other genetic contributions - still, the fact that the Mountbattens are related to them could explain why Prince Philip's good looks didn't reflect on his children, all of whom have the Queen's ugly monkeyish features (Andrew is supposed to be the son of the Queen's lover, so maybe that's why he isn't hideous).

The same can be said about William - Diana was pretty, and vaguely resembling her has been the only thing that has saved him from being as ugly has his father.

As for Peter Phillips, R62 is right - he is quite unattractive, with tiny eyes, the misshapen, thin nose with a big bulbous head that all the Windsors have, a big mouth and crocodile teeth. His sister looks like a 6ft tall, burly rugby player in drag. They are not attractive at all.

As for Princess Anne, she has always been plain at best, like her aunt Margaret. And just as it happened with her aunt, when she was young she could look presentable thanks to tons of makeup, good angles, diffuse lighting and some airbrushing. Without a lot of help, she could frighten children.

as I have said before, nobiliary titles place people in a different category in the eyes of the rest of humanity.

by Anonymousreply 63July 29, 2018 4:48 PM

R63 looks like Bernie Sanders only more wizened.

I saw Prince Charles at a Paris race track when he was a young man. He had a great complexion, bright blue eyes, was slender and in athletic shape and beautifully tailored. He was with a date – I don't know who it was – who seemed happy with him and they were laughing and having a good time. Much more handsome than his pictures.

And I agree that princess Anne was a looker in her day too. Andrew was very cute but he's let himself go a bit to seed.

by Anonymousreply 64July 29, 2018 5:20 PM

I think this guy is Peter's real father.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 65July 29, 2018 5:41 PM

R63 is spot on. Andrew was the only looker in the immediate family and that was most likely thanks to his disputed parentage. At best, with the exception of Andrew any of the royal children or their progeny has only looked presentable and that was with a great deal of assistance.

by Anonymousreply 66July 29, 2018 5:55 PM

Prince Edward was a pretty young man. Of course, his paternity is somewhat disputed, too. Supposedly, he's the son of Baron Patrick Plunket, Deputy Master of the Royal Household and one of Elizabeth's favorite courtiers.

Re interview linked at R51, when asked about her joining into the Royal Family, Autumn, Peter's wife says (around 1:35 mark).....

[quote]...I've had some people in the family who have guided me and helped me through it, TOLD ME WHAT TO WEAR AND WHEN TO WEAR IT

Most likely means that Harry's wife just doesn't want to go along.

by Anonymousreply 68July 29, 2018 6:07 PM

I don't see much resemblance between Eddy and Patrick Plunket, but the likeness between Andrew and Lord Porchester can't be denied.

I see that Lord Freddie Windsor’s fugly genes are kicking in. He used to be cute. And a bisexual too I’m told.

by Anonymousreply 77August 27, 2018 4:08 PM

Looking at OP's picture with the pursed lips, this guy has a gay face that can be seen from space. Totally threw my gaydar off.

by Anonymousreply 78August 27, 2018 4:29 PM

In OP's photo, the subject definitely smells some cookies. It's just that photo, though; you don't see it in other photos of him. Anne was wise to deny her children titles. Otherwise they'd be floundering at Charles' mercy like the York girls. The Philips still get lots of gifts (cash) and parties because of their relation to the queen, but they get to make their own schedules, and they don't have to rely on Charles for money.

On an unrelated note, the palace is lucky that William grew up to be so calm and respectful. When he was just a young kid, there were lots of articles written about his misbehavior. Granny probably yelled at him on a regular basis.

by Anonymousreply 79August 27, 2018 4:41 PM

I remember reading that when William was at Eton, he and his grandmother had regular visits at the nearby Windsor Castle.
