Abdul Karim and Mohammed Buksh, male gifts to a queen. Has Eli

Two men sent to England in 1887 to serve Her Majesty during her Golden Jubilee celebrations. Queen Victoria took to Abdul who became her closest confidante for a decade, til her death. Victoria and Abdul told the story last year with Judi Dench and Ali Fazal.

Do you think Queen Elizabeth II has taken any hot lovers or platonic romantic male confidantes over her time?

The short Bush had a mischievous face and possibly a jolly bear body.

This is actually unfortunate, because we could have had an interesting thread about this. I've tried to compare Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria, in the sense that they both seemed to take a serious interest in their responsibility to 'their realms' in ruling a multi-national Empire/Commonwealth. Queen Victoria took lessons in Urdu, since she felt it important to be able to understand her Indian subjects. Queen Elizabeth worked to maintain respectful relationships with England's former African dominions and colonies.

Too bad you fucked up the original post so badly. You have absolutely no one but yourself to blame.

The movie left out the part that his wife was 12.

But I was surprised that that part about Queen Victoria learning to read/write his language was true.

Was Abdul the more handsome man in the B&W photo? In a Vanity Fair online article, Victoria with shown with the heavier shorter man.

The film was great.

Did Abdul really have gonorrhea? I remember the scene where Victoria's doctor checks Abdul's crotch (to find out why his wife cannot become pregnant), the doctor then goes gleefully screaming to Victoria's son Bertie, and the rest of the racists in the Queen's employ, that Abdul was "riddled with gonorrhea!"

R6, What a complete asshole you are. I'm not the OP. I still think this is an interesting subject.

I liked the film, but it was sugar coated.

From Victoria's secret stash! The real Abdul.

Karim and Buksh were both slaves. Their stories have been "modified" to suit 21st century Western sensibilities and Brit political realities.
