My Cat Looks Fat in Photos

My cat looks super fat in many photographs. She's a little chubby in person but not obese like she looks in photos. I don't want people to think I'm allowing my cat to eat herself to an early grave. She has very short legs and her belly is white so I think it makes her appear fatter then she is. What are some tips to take flattering photos of her?

Physiotherapy may reduce the barrel chestedness by allowing the rib cage to contract.

Shave that pussy.

Vertical stripes.

Black is slimming. Dye her?

Have a great big fat person hold her. She’ll look small by comparison.

by Anonymousreply 6July 18, 2018 2:54 AM

Papa, why do you overfeed me?

by Anonymousreply 7July 18, 2018 2:55 AM

You type fat, bitch!

by Anonymousreply 8July 18, 2018 2:55 AM

You know you're keeping your cat healthy. Why do you give a shit what other people think. The only other opinion that might matter is your vet's.

by Anonymousreply 9July 18, 2018 2:55 AM

And why are you taking photos of your cat in the first place?

by Anonymousreply 10July 18, 2018 3:02 AM

No, YOU look fat!

by Anonymousreply 11July 18, 2018 3:03 AM

Put that gluttonous bitch on a diet OP. I bet she wears plus size...

She loves food so I do have to control what she eats. She tried to steal my dinner last night.

by Anonymousreply 13July 18, 2018 3:18 AM

if she is neutered, it is likely she will get a bit tubby.

just don't let it get out of hand.

by Anonymousreply 15July 18, 2018 3:23 AM

Aw! Fat kitties are cute. Let her do her.

Does this tail make me look fat?

She's a pig and I'm guessing a slut!

by Anonymousreply 18July 18, 2018 3:27 AM

One of my cats (Arthur, RIP) was a 26 lb tabby. He was huge. But he had the sweetest face, which was just filled with love. He was abandoned, and when we adopted him, my Mom was sure he was a pregnant female: "it looks like she's going to have those kittens any day now!" My Dad, who wasn't a cat person, was the person who eventually took him to the vet to have him put to sleep, after ever-increasing health problems. My Dad later developed dementia, but he'd always bring up the sweet look Arthur gave him on the way to the vet, and he'd shed a few tears.

Only take pictures from above OP. It will take pounds off that porky pussy.

by Anonymousreply 20July 18, 2018 3:37 AM

There's photoshop for that sort of thing, OP. You might consider getting her a personal trainer. Strong is the new skinny and all that.

The other thing is she needs to learn how to pose properly for the camera. Crossing her hind legs and resting her paw on her hip is more flattering. See below.

My kitty is 13 pounds and the vet acts like I’m carrying around Mama Cass.

by Anonymousreply 22July 18, 2018 3:40 AM

Good God, you are talking about a cat. All these silly suggestions for a cat who looks fat.

Stop this nonsense. Go schedule the cat for Liposuction immediately

by Anonymousreply 23July 18, 2018 6:11 AM

Sadly, R19, your dad took him to the wrong vet, and Arthur actually ended up as a meal in Korea.

No one has started a parody of this thread? "My owner looks fat in photos."

And the inevitable follow up. "My owner brings a different man home every night. All that activity on the bed is cutting into my nap time. How can I make him stop being such a slut?"

by Anonymousreply 26July 19, 2018 1:03 AM

I come from a family of cat lovers. My parents have five and my siblings both have one. My brother hasn't seen my cat in person in years and when he saw the latest photos he shamed me. He said I was an irresponsible person for allowing her to get so unhealthy. I think she's adorable fat and if I didn't know it could make her unhealthy I'd let her eat her favourite treats all day. She only eats Orijens cat food and treats so at least her diet is healthy.

by Anonymousreply 27July 19, 2018 8:18 AM

OP just described the average Datalounger.

by Anonymousreply 29July 19, 2018 7:29 PM

Have your cat recline on the sofa; it's a very slimming pose.

Just feed her less and start walking her. Find out what the normal weight for her should be, then weigh her regularly until she’s at the desired weight, or just a hair under. Then she should look fine in photos, and be healthier.

by Anonymousreply 32July 19, 2018 7:46 PM

OP, just have her present hole. They'll be so distracted no one will even notice her weight. And if you want a truly memorable photo, you should present hole with her.

She won't go for walks r32. She used to be a stray and seems afraid to go out at all unless it's on the balcony.

by Anonymousreply 34July 20, 2018 6:53 AM

Get a laser pointer then, OP, that's what our vet said to do with our zaftig gal. They also make those cat wheels that are like hamster wheels, I don't know if she'd dig that. I wish I had never started free feeding my cat, when I get another one I will not do that again, it's better to feed them twice a day like dogs.

by Anonymousreply 35July 20, 2018 7:01 AM

I’m screaming

by Anonymousreply 36July 20, 2018 7:17 AM

R33 is a total W-H-O-R-E!!!
