On the ATKOL forums years ago someone mentioned he owed money to a dealer so did the porn for some fast money because legitimate acting work wans't coming to him.

He was so cute in the Fright Night movie - physically, I mean - not his character.

He had such a weird Hollywood career trajectory. He claimed for years that it was his twin brother à la Phoebe and Ursula from "Friends." "Buffay The Vampire Layer"! People actually believed that for a time.

The saddest part is that he worked in the worst of low budget porn when he could have carved out a bigger paycheck as a mainstream actor crossing over. He did a LOT of videos over 3 or 4 years so he must have had a huge drug problem if he was doing it to pay off a dealer.

Poor ol gal seems so beaten down now, too - looks way older than he is - rode hard, and put up wet, I suppose.

From what I've read I suspect he had a really fucked up childhood.

He will always be an icon to me because he played Sandy Dennis' son in 976-Evil. She is hysterically funny in the film. One of her last roles.

He was my idol growing up, no lie. I wanted to BE him. Loved all his movies, from HEAVEN HELP US to FRATERNITY VACTION to FRIGHT NIGHT, 976-EVIL and all the other not so famous stuff. He even had a small role in AT CLOSE RANGE. I finally got to meet him a couple of years ago at a horror convention. He’s super tiny in person and a bit weathered, but he still has that voice. He hates doing the “You’re so cool, Brewster!” line from FRIGHT NIGHT, though.

Even if you think the movie is terrible. You can't deny that Chris Sarandon was great in that role.

Maybe a million years ago, I worked in a video store that had a "Mature Audiences" section that wasn't porn, but were more along the lines of "naughty," I guess. It was mostly those dumb European skin flicks like "Emmanuelle in Bangkok" and "Melody in Love." Very rarely was there a naked guy.

And then one day, thank the gay gods, we got something called "Hunk Hotel." The biggest words on the cover were "Starring Stephen Geoffreys of FRIGHT NIGHT." I think I watched it 800 times. He plays the manager of a hotel where a bunch of 80s good looking guys. They were supposed to be frat brothers doing some kind of internship, but they are far too old.

For some reason or another, they all want to get each other naked as much as possible in a non-sexual way. The longest part was a touch football game where everyone's shorts get ripped.

Anyways, Geoffreys spends most of the movie spying on them and cackling about how he is going to "get them." He winds up spanking all of them with as paddle for no good reason. Then he gets in a sauna and they steal his clothes, forcing him to run naked through the resort to his office where they are all waiting for him. He then says something like "Oh well, if you can't beat them, join them" and shows off his dick.

It is possibly the worst acting ever done my someone with actual legit credits.

He's terrible, and obviously drugged up to the gills. The paddling scene is particularly strange.

There was a sequel called "Hunk Boat," but Geoffreys stayed away from it.

If you ever get a chance to see it....DO IT. It's sad that that's all I had to whack to for at least a year.

In one of the Hollywood gossip threads, someone who claimed to have worked on "Fraternity Vacation" had some interesting tidbits. The people you would least expect were dipping in the gentleman pond. He mentioned it in passing, rather nonchalantly, when interviewed for Scarlet Street magazine back in 1997 when they asked him about what he did during his hiatus from Hollywood.
