She was a multimillionaire in her own right and if she ever felt frightened of, threatened by or abused by Depp there was ZERO excuse for to continue living with him. The police were called, they saw no evidence of a crime - if they thought Depp so much as pushed her they would have arrested him - they suggested that Never-Heard-Of file a police report and according to the LAPD she "insistent" that she did not want to do that.

So, what does the rich adult female do instead? She tries to get footage of Depp with her phone and tries him in the court of public opinion.

Everyone from Depp's first wife right up to Winona Ryder, and anyone else who knew him, publicly stated that kind of behavior is completely out of character for Depp.

I do believe, however, that Never-Heard-of DOES have an instance of domestic abuse in HER past and that there was a police intervention regarding a violent episode between Never-Heard-of and her female partner.

If there was a scuffle on the evening in question it wouldn't surprise me if Depp was responding to Never-Heard-of's actions. But since "Amber" decided to handle the situation the way she chose to handle it - turning on the tears as soon as she notices TMZ's cameras, nice touch - I'm not giving it much thought.

I was crazy about him at one time. And not just because he was hot. As fucked up as he is now, Johnny was, at one time, a really good guy. A decent human being. This was over 20 years ago, so lots has changed. But wow.

I am so sorry, and sad, that it has gone down the way it has. I earnestly hope he gets help. But I just don’t believe he can do that in L.A. Personally, I had to leave L.A. for a while, in order to get my shit together. And even though I miss living there, I doubt that I will ever live in Los Angeles again. California? Definitely. Los Angeles? Nope.

Let me be clear: A location does not make you an addict or an alcoholic. These are issues that you take with you, regardless of where you live. But there is a certain lifestyle that Johnny is very attached to at this point in his life, and he is very connected to people who live in Los Angeles, who supply him with whatever drugs he wants. Yes, he can fly them to wherever he is on a private jet, but Johnny also flies right back to them.

He needs to get dried out from booze and the dope, and he needs to be somewhere else for a few years.

I don’t see that happening. His dealers are his closest friends, along with an entire crew of people who use him for money, drugs, and alcohol. These people co-sign all of his bullshit, and facilitate him in being trapped in some echo chamber of more bullshit.

My take on Johnny Depp was that he was good looking, he was a talented, versatile actor and usually delivered performance-wise but if you looked close enough there seemed to be an element of weirdness and sleaze. But, nothing to be too alarmed about. He was not a secret monster with a fake saccharine image, you knew what you were getting.

He'd make his movies, do the promotion, they were often critical and box office successes and then he'd go home and not bother people. I always found him to be one of the least annoying celebrities.

Bigger idiots with a lot less talent and a lot less to offer and who are rotten people do faux humble a lot better than he does. Look at all the effort that Roseanne had make for decades before her collapse became complete. Look who Dr. Huxtable turned out to be. I always admired that Depp meant it when he said that maintaining a Hollywood image didn't matter to him.

It's a shame he never made the commitment to get sober, but he has to deal with that.

And, yeah, there nothing subtle in what's going on here. He has clearly stepped on the wrong toes and he has pissed off the wrong people.
