Just not how it works. Great parents find a way to be their for their kids--they sacrifice to do so if necessary. They don't sign agreements where they don't have visitation.

I really doubt that if Cruise was seeing Suri there'd be zero record of it. Katie Holmes would have nothing to lose by allowing visitation and Cruise would have a great deal to gain from making it known he was in contact with his daughter.

Neither of his older children, by the way, have shown the kind of development that reflects "great parenting"--they're in the kind of in the semi-lost celebrity kid category--floundering, no college education, not much focus. Not disasters, but not atypical of what you see in kids with parents who are more focused on themselves than their kids.

I feel sorry for them, actually. A great parent would work much harder at co-parenting than Cruise ever has.
