She was CONSTANTLY on tv when I was growing up. I liked her. She was like a cartoonish Natalie Wood. Anyone else is a fan ?
Cinderella!

Loved her in Clue!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 10, 2018 12:24 AM |
She should have won the Oscar for "Victor/Victoria".
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 10, 2018 12:27 AM |
I’m horny....
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 10, 2018 12:29 AM |
She was married to Jon Peters before Barbra got her talons into him.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 10, 2018 12:32 AM |
Victor Victoria and humping Chris Atkins come to mind.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 10, 2018 12:34 AM |
I always confused her with both Lesley Anne Downs and Jennifer Warnes. I thought she was an English-American actress-songwriter then one day it dawned on me that these were three separate people.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 10, 2018 12:35 AM |
She was good as Will’s dad’s kooky mistress on WILL AND GRACE.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 10, 2018 12:38 AM |
Snaggle Tooth!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 10, 2018 12:39 AM |
She's way too mannered an actress for me. I'm only familiar with some her work from the 80s on.
I liked her original face more like in OP's pic. I guess she thought she looked too "ethnic".
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 10, 2018 12:42 AM |
She's the poor man's Susan Sarandon.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 10, 2018 12:44 AM |
Loved her in Victor Victoria.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 10, 2018 12:46 AM |
That movie Color Of Night -- what a disaster for everyone involved .
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 10, 2018 1:17 AM |
She’s a horrible cunt, OP. Ask anyone who’s ever worked with her.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 10, 2018 1:21 AM |
What’s she doing now?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 10, 2018 1:27 AM |
I wasn't even 7 years old when I saw this on tv in '65 but I never did forget her. I have a real soft spot for LAW. Years later in the late 70's when I started watching General Hospital I had a hard time placing "Alan Quartermaine" and it was a few years when I realized he was Prince Charming.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 10, 2018 1:57 AM |
Did the US Gone With the Wind with her and Pernell ever have any performances?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 10, 2018 2:07 AM |
R3, No.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 10, 2018 2:17 AM |
R17 - why do you say that?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 10, 2018 2:22 AM |
Watch “Choose Me” or “The Limey” - both interesting movies of hers.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 10, 2018 2:45 AM |
She is so much fun in Color of Night. It’s a bizarre film but her performance is memorable and funny and is one of the comedic elements that makes the film original. You can imagine another actress just playing it straight and Ignoring the intended zaniness of the whole thing. Whether “zany” is something that works for a mid 90’s erotic thriller is another story. But it’s never boring.
If the “director’s cut” had been released in theaters she might have gotten an Oscar nomination.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 10, 2018 3:05 AM |
I did love her in Victor Victoria, Clue, and Will & Grace
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 10, 2018 3:15 AM |
Poookie!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 10, 2018 3:21 AM |
I remember seeing her sitting on the curb outside LAX. So glamorous.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 10, 2018 3:25 AM |
R23, yes, I saw it in LA. It also played SF before fizzling out.
It was awful.
There was a later production of it in Atlanta that was supposedly much better (without Lesley Ann).

I was mostly focused on that glimpse of Bruce Willis' cock. To think that Aaron Carter got to see it up close and personal...
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 10, 2018 3:40 AM |
I only know her as Miss Scarlet
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 10, 2018 3:55 AM |
R18 pointed out the problem. She has a reputation for being impossible to work with. Unless you are a top money maker, and she was never that, a reputation for being difficult puts the brakes on things.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 10, 2018 4:05 AM |
No need to watch this whole interview, but the first comment beneath is funny.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 10, 2018 4:12 AM |
She’s always playing a kooky, neurotic ditz.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 10, 2018 4:20 AM |
She was in the "Janie's Got a Gun" video, from Aerosmith.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 10, 2018 4:31 AM |
The last thing I saw her in was desperate housewives playing ditzy Terri hatchers ditzy mom
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 10, 2018 4:34 AM |
R7 I, too, used to confuse her and Lesley-Anne Down, I would tune in to a show expecting Down and be disappointed it was Warren.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 10, 2018 4:36 AM |
I know somebody who worked on "Dream" and apparently Lesley pulled a Helen Lawson. Although Lesley had most of the big numbers, one of the ensemble singers had a solo, (I think it was "Skylark"), and apparently did a beautiful job and most expected she'd be noticed by the critics. It was her one big number. Well somehow, Lesley ended up with it.
Ironically, the other major Bway star in the production was Margaret Whiting. As most of you probably know, Margaret was very well acquainted with Helen Lawson. For those who don't know, she WAS Helen Lawson. The voice, anyway. It was actually Margaret singing for Susan Hayward in the movie.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 10, 2018 5:53 AM |
Actually in "Dream" Warren had all these ballads and numbers that she thought made her look glamorous, while Jessica Molaskey stood out by doing a lot of uptempo and comedy numbers that, considering Warren's great performance in "V/V", Lesley Ann should have done. So by wanting to be seen as glamorous instead of being seen as funny and lively, LAW kind of screwed herself and the show.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 10, 2018 6:01 AM |
I always LOVED her in Cinderella as a child.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 10, 2018 6:01 AM |
Her Prince Charming, Stuart Damon, had a beautiful voice and was handsome.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 10, 2018 6:06 AM |
Interviewed by Coco Peru. I saw this in person. Unfortunately, I could only find an excerpt. One of the more interesting segments was when Coco was asking her questions about Desperate Housewives and what it was like working with Teri Hatcher. Lesley was... let's say.... diplomatic!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 10, 2018 6:10 AM |
Hatcher wasn't liked by most of people on Desperate Housewives.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 10, 2018 6:32 AM |
^^ Really? Has there ever been a DL thread about it?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 10, 2018 6:43 AM |
R46 It has. It was talked about more when the show was on, but there was the thread about the show some months ago where it was talked about some.
The main housewives (Huffman, Cross, Longoria and Sheridan) and Mark Cherry especially couldn't stand her.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 10, 2018 6:57 AM |
One of those great MOW's from the 70s starring Lesley.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 10, 2018 7:01 AM |
I prefer her as a call girl in HAROLD ROBBINS' 79 PARK AVENUE
[italic]"Six blistering hours over three consequtive nights...Intended for mature audiences."
by Anonymous | reply 50 | May 10, 2018 7:07 AM |
Remember when her psychiatrist fucked her and then she took him to court? Lesley Anne was very talented but she is what my straight older brother called icky sticky girl. Like too feminine and demure acting when you can sense underneath that she's a psycho bitch. He also labelled LInda Ronstadt and Susan Dey the same. It's not exactly a compliment but you had to be very pretty to be called that. So there's that.

[quote]R51 Remember when her psychiatrist fucked her and then she took him to court?
That sounds like one of her TV movies...!
by Anonymous | reply 52 | May 10, 2018 8:07 AM |
Clue rocks!
by Anonymous | reply 53 | May 10, 2018 8:11 AM |
We must remember she played Scarlett in the 1973 stage musical GONE WITH THE WIND, that never made it to Broadway.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | May 10, 2018 8:17 AM |
She was in an Eagles music video in 1977. Life in the Fast Lane was the song. I only saw on TV a few times. They were rolling down the freeway in a limo partying and carrying on.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | May 10, 2018 8:21 AM |
R48 - pretty sure r46 was being sarcastic at r45’s response.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | May 10, 2018 11:25 AM |
Was the burning of Atlanta at least a coup de theatre, r31? It's too bad they couldn't make a go of it......
hee-hee
by Anonymous | reply 58 | May 10, 2018 3:24 PM |
Really R18. Oh. I am so disappointed. ( I don't know anyone who worked with her, sorry). But you know, most people who know me say that I am a horrible cunt, and I still think that I am a very good, quite sweet, and very funny person.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | May 10, 2018 3:43 PM |

They were just envious of my real, spectacular rack.
(Except for Marc -- his tits were bigger.)

[quote]R58 Was the burning of Atlanta at least a coup de theatre?
From what I've read, the production was effective, physically, but the music and lyrics were lackluster.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | May 10, 2018 8:24 PM |
Not another Lesley Ann Warren thread!
by Anonymous | reply 62 | May 10, 2018 8:26 PM |
THIS was the best production of Atlanta, with Sharon Stone as Scarlett O'Hara.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | May 10, 2018 8:50 PM |
I have a friend who acted with her with her on a movie many years ago for about a month. As he says, it was the longest month of his life. Sadly, not a nice person. He was very disappointed because he had been a fan of hers until then.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | May 10, 2018 9:16 PM |
I also like her in Color of Night because it's such a hoopy part and film.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | May 10, 2018 10:14 PM |
What’s with the soap?
by Anonymous | reply 66 | May 10, 2018 11:06 PM |
That's actually Sharon Stone as Cybill Shepherd as Scarlett O'Hara, r63......
by Anonymous | reply 67 | May 11, 2018 12:27 AM |
Wouldn't it be more correct to say it's Sharon Stone as Cybill Shephered as Daisy Miller as Scarlett O'Hara?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | May 11, 2018 12:30 AM |
You'd have to substitute Cybill's At Long Last Love character for Daisy Miller for it to line up correctly.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | May 11, 2018 12:32 AM |
She was funny in In Plain Sight..
by Anonymous | reply 70 | May 11, 2018 12:44 AM |
Was At Long Last Love based on a popular book? I've never seen it.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | May 11, 2018 12:50 AM |
No, but it was Bogdanovich's over-blown musical turkey gift to Cybill like Ryan O'Neal's was to Sharon Stone in Irreconcilable Differences.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | May 11, 2018 1:57 AM |
Never liked her so happy to learn she’s a cunt.
