He never did have a great defined chest even when he was young. I am shocked to hear he is 65, I thought he was a lot older.
In the link below you see him shirtless in the 80s. As you see below he was quite attractive but not buff by the standards of the 80s or not today.
I like Hasselhoff because he always knew not to take himself seriously. Baywatch and playing second fiddle to a talking car would have driven a lot of actors up the wall but he knew how to see the homour and make the most out of it, as with Sponge Bob for example.

He was NEVER buff and this is well known. What I mean is, he was very handsome (still is) in the face but was never a gym bunny, was never "toned." The producers knew it. The casting directors knew it. The photographers knew it. He never had a great body but was still sexy because of his personality and handsome face, which was his fortune. And he had youth on his side. So he didn't really need the muscles. I think he looks pretty good for 65 considering he was a drunk for years.
