No - Mark Harmon never forgave Kris and never lifted a finger to help her with her medical bills. Great Catholic family!

She was batshit and though she mellowed out due to age and medication she did all she could to destroy rick and the kids.

A few highlight stories-

Rick was near bankrupt when he divorced kris because of her lavish spending.

Kris got her attorney to write Rick a letter claiming he was behind on alimony or child support so he added a few shows at the end of 1985 to try and makeup for it, including the last show before his death. In reality he was not behind in any of his payments. At ricks funeral showed up late and David Nelson muttered “murderer” when she walked by.

Kris believed that she was the beneficiary of a large life insurance policy and the smoke hadn’t cleared from the plane crash when kris called ricks attorney and demanded to know what she got in the will. Turns out nothing, Rick changed his will and cut kris out including the life insurance policy which the kids were the beneficiaries.

Kris was convinced that Tracy was behind Rick changing his will and the large policy. After the memorial service was over kris physically attacked Tracy and had to be pulled off of her.

Gunnar and Matthew were emotionally damaged by kris but especially Gunnar who she bullied about his appearance. Gunnar was in therapy for years and has had a ton of plastic surgery.

Despite mark and Pam dropping the custody battle for Sam, he ultimately ended up with spending the latter part of his childhood with mark and Pam.

The twins have turned into middle aged lesbians.

That custody battle was brutal.

Sam looks like Rick and is very handsome. Tracy may not be on speaking with one of the twins.

One more generation of breeding, and people in that family will have no noses at all.

I knew Sam (not well, but knew him) when he was attending boarding school in MA in the mid-to-late 80s. Strange to think that even though he was from a family of celebrities, I always felt badly for him because there was so much controversy and tumult in his his family, whereas I had a safe, boring upbringing. But even as a pre-teen/teenager, I knew I had the better situation.

Anyway, very happy to read he's doing well and more or less happy with life. That's a pretty huge success considering his first 10-20 years on this earth.

Ozzie and Harriet Nelson were incredibly lucky to pop out such a beautiful son, it really guaranteed the success of their show. Otherworldly handsome....and he could sing and play the guitar.

My mother was OBSESSED with Ricky Nelson, to the point where my father would get irrationally jealous. She was the President of his fan club when she was a girl. When I was about 10 or 11, she would take me to his concerts. These were the years where he was playing places like the La Verne Cattle Company or the Palomino club in North Hollywood. Late 1970's-Early 80's. I would order a Shirley Temple or Roy Rogers and felt like a grown up in those kind of places. We would go see him at the LA Fair when he played there. She once stole his coke can and a towel from the stage. She still has them, I think. Anyway, we were there so often Ricky kind of knew who we were, Stalker that my mother was. We met him a few times after his shows and he was always really nice and always thanked us for continuing to go see him. Then he would speed off in his orange Pantera.

One year I had to do a school project (middle school, probably 7th grade) where I was supposed to interview someone in a profession I wanted to go into. At the time, I was really into Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters and thought I wanted to be a famous country singer someday. My mom took me to another Ricky Nelson concert where we waited backstage. I had always pretended I had a crush on his guitar player, Bobby Neal so when he came out, I asked him if I could interview him, all the while wearing my satin Barbara Mandrell tour jacket. He said I could and he was really nice and answered all my stupid questions. I have pictures of this somewhere. I turned that report in with the pictures and I'm sure my teachers cracked up. I was really sad to learn Neal died in the crash with Ricky. When he died, my mom was devastated but now she's moved on to stalking Keith Urban.
