All I can ever think when i see her is: MOISTURIZE

She was a very poor substitute for Elizabeth James, heroine of the first and only Billy Jack film that matters.

Sorry R4 but Billy Jack is THE movie in that series.

This is more about Tom Laughlin, but it's interesting.

Is she the dippy hippie who told Billy Jack you have to tolerate any and all violence without a violent response?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 11, 2018 1:26 AM |
Who?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 11, 2018 1:29 AM |
She was one ugly hippie.

Delores Taylor has been out of circulation for so long that I think most people have forgotten about her.

Billy Jack has to be one of the most profitable movies of all time. IMDB says the budget was $800K and grossed $98M in 1972 dollars. Since Tom produced, directed, and starred he probably saw a lot of that money. And they were married for 59 years. I'm sure they had a comfortable life.

Tom Laughlin was HOT in those late Fifties / early Sixties movies he was in, before those moronic Billy Jack films. Does anyone have any pics from his beefcake days?

Not to speak ill of the dead but Jesus was she homely. And a terrible actress. Tom Laughlin was fairly cute in his younger days.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 11, 2018 3:52 AM |
Saw the films as a gayling. Really terrible.

I wanted to be her in the scene where she's tied down and raped by the hottie villain Bernard Posner.

and early photo of Delores and Tom. Tom had really unique eyebrows.

I always thought Delores Taylor was the person who sang "One Tin Soldier."

I thought Delores should have been nominated for an Oscar when Billy Jack came out. I was very young and didn’t know I was gay at that time.

God, those "Billy Jack" movies were awful. Really awful. Who went to see those shitty movies? Anyway Delores Taylor was one of the most unattractive women in the movies. She looked like she wore zero makeup and had terrible wrinkled, sun damaged skin.

An eyebrow pencil and sunscreen would have done wonders. Tom must have really loved her.

She looks pretty in R19's old photo, sort of Sondra Locke-ish

I thought the Billy Jack movies were great! They might have seemed bad by Hollywood standards, but they were all independently financed by Laughlin himself and very popular here in CA. The films had a message.

"The films had a message."
What was that? From what I recall about them, they were just standard action pictures where the "good guy (Billy Jack)" fights off the bad guys. And the hippy dippy angle of those movies was godawful.

Our beloved hippy dippy 10th grade science teacher said he saw "Billy Jack" 31 times the summer it was released.
