Anyone any experience with getting rid of these , short of a facelift? Not sure about fillers for this area or any other suggestions?

Cut the strings, OP, and crawl to the fire.

Filler.

Never smiling helps. I try to keep my face expressionless. Reveal nothing.

Filler. Juvaderm worked well for me. Restylane is also an option, but I don’t have experience with it. Whatever you do, the most important thing is to go to someone good - don’t cheap out and go to one of those lifestyle places that offer sales by the syringe.

Filler works great for marionette lines. Depending where you are, expect to pay approx $800 per syringe; most people use 2 syringes. Juvederm Voluma lasts between 12-18 months (don't believe the claims from manufacturer that it lasts 2 years, that was using massive amounts that you wouldn't use on yourself in one go.)

What R6 said. Don't go cheap. Instead see a real doctor who specializes in plastic surgery. And plan on some bruising depending on the amount of filler and the injection site. Bruising could take a week to completely go away. Ice helps. I was pleased with the fillers I had and get a touchup about every 12 months.
Before you do anything, take photos of your face in profile and from different angles. Most of us view our face only from the front while looking straight into a mirror. And usually with a light source above. The lines you're concerned about may be not be as noticeable to others. Fillers on the otherhand may eliminate the lines from your perspective looking straight on, but can make your face look fuller from the side. So don't overdo it.

I wore a scruffy beard for several years and was shocked when I shaved it off at how deep the lines on my face were. I had Juviderm Ultra injected by my dermatologist. It was about a year ago and still holding up.

Spackle or putty depending on the surface.

Belotero is a good filler at first if you are gun shy... it only lasts a short period of time, and it is injected very close to the surface. So, it's good for thinner winkles, rather than larger volume loss.

Fresh coat of shellac.

I always heard that cheek implants were the only way to get rid of them. Has anyone ever had successful cheek implant surgery?

R15 Yes, but I was in my 20s when I got them, so can't attest to helping the lines (I'm 48 now and don't have any but that could be coincidence). I would never get them again. Another vote for fillers.

WHY??????

I've had Bellafill with great results. Also, it's very long lasting - five years or more as it has microspheres and collagen. After the collagen is absorbed, the microspheres are permanent and help build new collagen. Best $6000 I ever spent.

Bone structure. You need bone structure OP. Took me years to get bone structure. Boys never noticed me until I started getting a little bone structure.

I see no difference in the "attractiveness" or youthfulness of the man pictured above, before and after. There are less lines. Why not spend 1200 a year (plus fees??) on body work like message therapy, or hot whores, or well cut jacket or coat.

OP, I'm not sure about fillers either. I have a great dermatologist, I use her for Botox (every 5-6 months on my forehead and between my eyes), and I've had three fractional CO2 lasers over four years. I'm happy with both of these procedures, and would, and will, do both again. I'm not quite ready for treatment of those lines from my nose to my mouth, but my derm has said when I need/want it, she could do filler on the cheeks to lift the area around the mouth (for somer reason I always thought the filler was injected into the line itself). Anyway, my concern about the procedure is the chipmunk cheek/sunken eye effects that are so common these days. I'm not sure even the best dermatologist/surgeon can necessarily avoid that. BTW, the cost would be about 800 (one syringe).
Good luck to you.
