So much to love, so much to hate
MSNBC shows, hosts, reporters, etc. PART THREE

[quote]The Obama staffer was very honest about having smoked pot. A lot of pot. And Nicole echoed her with a "me too, I went through the same thing"
A few years before Obama ever ran for president, a friend of mine whose father worked in federal law enforcement was applying for a high-security federal job, and she told me some advice she'd been given was to admit to smoking weed if you had done it, but not to anything stronger. Don't know if coke is still a deal breaker, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
Nicolle was probably a lot of fun baked in college. By fun I mean cool and witty, not slutty.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 21, 2018 2:06 AM |
But he's a kinda cute elf, R3.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 21, 2018 6:00 AM |
The indicted lawyer looks so much like Jacob Sorboroff that a I had to do a double take when MSNBC put his head shot up as I hadn't caught the guy's name.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 21, 2018 6:54 AM |
Isn’t this D-Bag’s closet stuffed full of skeletons?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 21, 2018 6:18 PM |
Ken Vogel is probably very eager in the sack

Elves are like that, r9.

Ari is hot.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 21, 2018 9:56 PM |
Is Ari getting better numbers than Greta ? I notice that I'm more likely to watch him than I did with her show.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 21, 2018 10:22 PM |
An oozing pimple would get ratings than Greta’s MSNBC Show. If Datalounge is a gauge, all the gays tune in to Ari’s show.
He has to stop with the cutesy rap references.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 21, 2018 10:46 PM |
Greta's gone, girls.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 21, 2018 11:01 PM |
I think it's about time we talk about the very serious issue of the men dying their hair. I would not dye my hair, but then I am not an MSNBC celebrity so there you are.
Chuck Todd changes his color quite frequently. Today's color I would call "Moss Oak."
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 21, 2018 11:04 PM |
He's getting the best numbers for the time slot ever, so yes. And he's beats Wolf Bltizer.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 21, 2018 11:14 PM |
Plus, Ari is gorgeous.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 21, 2018 11:16 PM |
Is eating cookies related to smelling cookies?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 21, 2018 11:17 PM |
Ari makes me all tingly...down there.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 21, 2018 11:39 PM |
Ari's really the whole package. He will be the number 1 star of MSNBC in another year or two.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 21, 2018 11:57 PM |
R8 - what skeletons and why a d-bag? I remember his show on MSNBC and remember liking him on it.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 22, 2018 12:49 AM |
Phil Rucker looks cute as hell with the beard.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 22, 2018 1:13 AM |
Ari (or his producers) is adopting some FoxNews tactics for a good cause. Now during interviews he has snazzy chyrons like "Ari questions GOP congressman"; "Sanders backpedals after deflecting to Clinton".
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 22, 2018 11:49 PM |
OP, you dumb bitch, this is actually part four. I am the OP of the original and best thread.

Kelly O'Donnell is officially as big as Candy Crowley now.
Watch it, Kelly — you've got a lot of hot youngsters gunning for your gig. Mustn't get sloppy.

Yay for you, you needy bitch
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 23, 2018 8:30 PM |

And some, but not all, of the new people. Jacob S is delightful.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | February 23, 2018 8:40 PM |
I am thinking Kelly might be taking prednisone, so please don't be so hateful
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 23, 2018 8:47 PM |
Too many goddamn commercials, and they're always the same ones. It's so fucking tedious to watch even shows I like like Maddow and O'Donnell. How many hotel rooms do people book anyway?

I was shocked to hear Ari say he grew up with a gun in his household. I think he's from Seattle so I'm surprised his parents had one.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 25, 2018 5:49 PM |
Young Ari pic above is hot! Jacob Soboroff is handsome in person. He's also very outgoing.
Richard Lui is a DILF, but is much shorter in person.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 25, 2018 5:53 PM |
You don't have to go very far out of Seattle to be in cowboy country - even northern California is pretty redneck, or whatever you'd call their equivalent. Idaho is heaven for white supremacist groups, no?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | February 26, 2018 7:02 AM |
Richard Lui has the smoothest anus on MSNBC
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 26, 2018 7:15 AM |
Is Richard Lui straight? I actually heard something to that effect, which frankly shocked me because I thought he was gay and out.
And Jonathan Swan, beautiful though he may be, needs to lay off the muscle-building. He's beginning to look like a balloon.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 27, 2018 1:01 AM |
He's from CNN not MSNBC, but since the network doesn't have its own thread I'll comment here that it's great to see reporter Ryan Lizza back with Don Lemon. This may be old news, I just read an article from late January in Variety.
Lizza was one of the first men to be a victim of the #metoo Movement, but after an extensive investigation into the accusation against him, CNN found no reason not to bring him back.
Good for him and for us!
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 27, 2018 3:15 AM |
R43 This is kind of off topic, (and should be in the political thread), but I'm also glad they brought back Lizza. He's a great reporter and gives very incisive commentary. I was very happy to see him return.
CNN has really demonstrated a Zero Tolerance Policy when it comes to letting go of commentators and personalities in regards to the various movements that have emerged in the past couple years..... Too much so. I disagreed with their firing of Kathy Griffin. I also disagreed when they fired Trump Supporter Jeffrey Lord - and I couldn't stand Lord! My blood pressure rose 20 points whenever he was on a panel. But I don't think his tweet justified his firing.
Yet, this was the same network that hired Corey Lewandowski as a pundit after he was fired from Trump's campaign for assaulting a female reporter at one of Trump's rallies.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 27, 2018 7:53 AM |
Start a CNN thread. This is an MSNBC thread.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 27, 2018 12:19 PM |
Ari, I'd settle for just one kiss....OK, one make-out session. But that would be IT.

Robert Costa is going through another misshapen hair phase.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | February 27, 2018 6:03 PM |

[quote]Phil Rucker looks cute as hell with the beard.
He truly does. And it looks like he lost some weight.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 27, 2018 7:00 PM |
Ha ha, this just happened (paraphrasing)
Nicole Wallace: “People like you are starting to miss my old boss.”
Rachel, without hesitation: “No I don’t!”
by Anonymous | reply 51 | February 28, 2018 2:38 AM |
R51, I loved that segment. "We'll fight it out over drinks."
Nicole Wallace is such a good guest with Rachel, they have great chemistry and lots of information gets succinctly covered. Unlike when Nicole is the one asking questions, where she tends to concatenate 4 different questions into one REALLY long question.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | February 28, 2018 2:40 AM |
Nicolle was rocking some leather pants tonight! That was funny, R51. Actually, Nicolle's transformation began on McCain's campaign via her exposure to Palin's craziness,
Do you know that Rachel and Nicolle grew up only about 20 miles from each other in California's Bay Area? Castro Valley and Orinda, respectively.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | February 28, 2018 2:42 AM |
I'm really coming to adore Nicole. Her "woman scorned" stance by the republican party really leads to some great TV
by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 28, 2018 2:49 AM |
Adrienne Elrod is the new 'IT' girl at MSNBC. Jill Wine-Brooks better watch her back.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | February 28, 2018 3:05 AM |
David Farenthold of WaPo is a new political analyst for MSNBC? Nice! Had wondered what happened to him as I hadn't heard anything about him in quite a while. He's still hot.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 28, 2018 3:08 AM |
Miss Jill Wine-Banks is rocking a new softer 'do tonight. She looks great.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 28, 2018 3:12 AM |
Good for Rachel for pushing back on the insidious effort to recast history and normalize GWB. He’s a war criminal, not a cuddly civil servant. Never forget.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 28, 2018 3:28 AM |
I'll bet it's another off-camera sweat night on the O'Donnell show. They've had a ton of screwups, including a bunch of wrong picture cards near the top and middle of the show, and lost audio just now. Lawrence will not be happy.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 28, 2018 3:57 AM |
off-camera swear night. Sheesh.

That lunatic Trumper, Sam Numberg, who always seems drunk, is back on Ari’s Show. I wouldn’t blame him for living in the bottom of a bottle.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 28, 2018 11:32 PM |
This Nunberg is talking all over everyone and saying “irregardless” multiple times.
He enjoys Ari’s hip hop reference, of course.

I had a dream of Mika and Joe having sex. She took off her wig and eyelashes, Joe took off his girdle and toe corns. he mounted her and tried to cum, but she had to get on her knees and blow him, It was not a nightmare but close...Willy was nowhere to be found. Barnacle was in the toilet washing up.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | March 1, 2018 2:06 AM |
Katy Tur really bugs me. She's a good reporter, but her appearance seems forced ("serious" glasses, borderline sexy clothes/voice, hair). I like her views and work but she physically is too Fox-like
by Anonymous | reply 65 | March 1, 2018 4:21 AM |
Katy Kay is on my list since she dissed that black congresswoman who wears the cowboy hat. I flip the channel when her icky brit accent pops up on M joe. gawd. Who do she think she is with that fiftys leave it to beav hair doooo and piled on makeup.

Hottest Congressman Adam Kinzinger with his new beard on with Chris and Alyson now on CNN!
Lordy, he is sexy.

John Heilman is a panelist on Nicole’s show and the Wu-Tang Clan sticker on his laptop is prominently visible every time the camera cuts to him.
Who are these nerdy white guys on MSNBC trying to impress with their knowledge of hip hop? They look like immature fools.

by Anonymous | reply 75 | March 2, 2018 5:02 AM |
Katty Kay and Donnie make every Morning Joe edition better, as do Meacham and Heileman. Sad to say Barnacle and Willie both seem like they have better things to do all the time. Halperin was a smug bastard and is not missed.
Agree Heidi is a great addition.
If MSNBC would allow it, letting Pat Buchanan come back every now and then would be fun. Sure, he's an old crank, and I will hate much of what he says, but he's being himself on McGlaughlin and could make an interesting addition to a morning panel once in a while
by Anonymous | reply 76 | March 2, 2018 6:50 PM |
DONNIE??? No.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | March 2, 2018 7:23 PM |
Heidi P is far too female and physically desirable to last long on this show.
I guarantee that Mika is working behind the scenes to ensure that she remains the only hot piece of female ass on the show.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | March 2, 2018 8:13 PM |
Would you want to compete with this every morning if you were Mika?
by Anonymous | reply 79 | March 2, 2018 8:13 PM |
Just wait until Ben Collins of The Daily Beast joins MSNBC as a regular contributor!
by Anonymous | reply 80 | March 2, 2018 8:49 PM |
Mika is not threatened by Heidi because: Heidi is not a blond and Heidi is not as "feminine" (read possibly gay) as Mika thinks she is.
Has anyone noticed that Mika has kept her mouth shut lately? She's not interrupting and finishing everyone's sentences like she usually does? Someone must have SPOKEN TO HER in private.

The new guy Garrett had Al Roker on today about the storm and snow and said something like, "I went to school in the Finger Lakes, and they proactively closed campus which never happened when I was there, Al"
Which was a way of saying, what's the deal with Cornell in Ithaca, Al, is this so unusual? Roker, who went to snowier and blowier Oswego State, kind of ignored that, but gave him a look like "yeah, I know"
I like both of them a lot.

Rachel created today's NY Times crossword puzzle! Friday is the second hardest day of the week to solve (Saturday is the hardest).
by Anonymous | reply 85 | March 3, 2018 1:01 AM |
Rachel said the editors tore her puzzle apart and then put it back together. But I guess she still takes credit for creating it? I don’t know how that works.

by Anonymous | reply 88 | March 3, 2018 2:05 AM |
Benedetti now sports a buzz cut so he looks far hotter than r87's photo. He's gay, right?
Most NY Times crossword puzzles are edited to some degree. That's what the beloved Will Shortz does. And he's gay, too, right?
by Anonymous | reply 89 | March 3, 2018 2:51 AM |
Interesting about the crossword. Rachel referred to herself as a childless, middle aged, pot bellied lesbian so the crossword puzzle was all she had. If she's got a beer gut, she hides it well, she seems quite thin.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | March 3, 2018 4:13 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 92 | March 3, 2018 8:16 AM |
Man y'all are some major Ari-stans here.
He's physically attractive but seems kinda dumb.
I've repeatedly heard him mispronounce words or country's names. He once called the Seychelles, the "Say Shell Ayzs" and his rap lyric allusions are awkwardly shoehorned into his dialogues the few times I've tried to watch him during a guest host session.
Yes wigger, we get it, you is woke.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | March 4, 2018 3:43 PM |
I agree with you R93 - he has a dopey way of speaking. I can't stand listening to him and therefore, don't think he's all that hot. Stupid doesn't turn me on. And yeah, I think I've heard he was a lawyer but that doesn't mean he's naturally gifted intellectually. Some people can memorize for tests and such just fine but they aren't really upper echelon thinkers. I just can't believe he is.
Another one is Lawrence O'Donnell. He's not as bright as the rest of the crew either imo. Chris Hayes and/or Rachel Maddow are at the top of my list, intellect-wise, though both have mannerisms that annoy me but what the hay. Not sure about Chris Matthews - he reminds me of Grandpa - not keeping up anymore and prone to wasting time yammering on too long about the good old days. We don't CARE about Tip O'Neill anymore, kay?
by Anonymous | reply 94 | March 4, 2018 5:11 PM |
Ari's a bit socially awkward, which I find endearing. He's probably been a bookish nerd his whole life. He's certainly intelligent and quite incisive with legal matters, he's sometimes at sea with other lines of questioning of his guests, but, to be fair, it takes a lot of skill to be asking questions, listening to the answers, formulating the next question, AND be smooth about it.
I think Maddow is excellent with a one-on-one guest, she doesn't do three-person panels which it smart (and more interesting, IMO). The hosts who are worst at it are those that have large panels and just go round-robin with a prepared list of questions from panel guest to panel guest regardless of their expertise, never listening or following up interesting answers they might elicit. The younger reporters playing at host seem to do this more - Kristen Welk, Katy Tur, Steve Kornaki, etc. And don't get me started on Chuck Todd.
The best hosts are people like Brian Wilson who clearly listen and respond appropriately to each guest, directing questions not in the order they're displayed on the screen, but as it fits their area of interest. Joy Reid and Lawrence do this well too, but not as intensely as Chris Hayes. Nicolle Wallace is much more engaged with her individual guests than most, so she also doesn't just scattershot questions as often.
It's not an easy gig.

Sam Nunberg (that crazy former Trump campaign aid who's been on Ari's show) is now having a major meltdown because he's 1 of the people announced today who has to turn over his contacts with certain Trump associates & Trump himself. It sounds like he's worried about being in trouble himself

lmfao!! Nunberg is detestable like everyone else who associates/associated with Trump but he made for damn good trashy tv. It was hilarious to see him trashing Trump, Lewandowski, Hicks, Huckabee and Carter while staunchly defending his "mentor" Roger Stone. He had THREE lawyers including Ari telling him it's not a good idea to defy a subpoena and that he could go to jail.
Ari has to be thrilled. This is likely a viral moment for his show

by Anonymous | reply 113 | March 6, 2018 12:49 AM |
Robert Costa looks like a different person now -- he's just lost so much weight and did it incredibly fast. He's a very pretty man in my opinion (with that gorgeous black hair) but needs to go buy a new wardrobe. He's swimming in his old clothes now.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | March 6, 2018 12:53 AM |
I'm disappointed that Rachel didn't give this Nunberg story much more than a glance tonight, I would have appreciated her insight. Maybe the trainwreck aspect of it came off as too gossipy to her, something she avoids, and something I respect her for. But still, I'm disappointed.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | March 6, 2018 3:01 AM |
Art the top of the show, Rachel disissed the Nunberg mania as meaningless theater. What more did she need to say? Thankfully she didn’t use the word “nothingburger.”
by Anonymous | reply 116 | March 6, 2018 3:26 AM |
No, r116, she didn't dismiss it as meaningless theater, she suggested it could be a kind of "kabuki theater," which is not the same thing at all.

Now, we have this.

Ari had his collar open yesterday and his shirt was filthy, I mean serious "ring around the collar" ...I was kind of shocked

[quote]Who is this chubby Jon Podhoretz who comes on every day in his comfy sweater look? Is he a serious journalist?
R120, his studied sweater look bugs the shit out of me.

I can't share the love for Ari, he honks like a congested goose , and I was sorely disappointed to find him subbing for Maddow last night. Couldn't even make it through the broadcast. But you go ahead with your heart eyes, DL, I'll cope somehow.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | March 8, 2018 4:02 PM |
That was not dirt on Ari's shirt collar. That's the heavy makeup used on his skin to cover up his even heavier scruff.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | March 8, 2018 7:16 PM |
Ari needs a loofah.
by Anonymous | reply 132 | March 8, 2018 7:22 PM |
Ari was tired yesterday when subbing for Maddow, I can't blame him the day before MSNBC had him all day because of the looney toon that came to his show.
by Anonymous | reply 133 | March 8, 2018 7:22 PM |
And who is this luscious Marc Caputo who just appeared with Katy Tur?
I could watch these handsome talking heads on MSNBC all day.

Isn't Marc Caputo the dreamiest? He makes my Maidenform warm!

Podhoretz is the ugly spawn of the neoconservative, homophobic couple Norman Podhoretz and Midge Decter. Those two hateful fuckers were a major force in the Neonconservative movement that helped usher in the Reagan Era and the conservative policies in place since 1980.

WEHT the blonde British correspondent who was attacked by the crowd during the Arab Spring uprising?
She was a superstar international reporter, on air all the time. After the attack, she stopped the travel but still worked. But I don’t recall seeing her onscreen in months.
Was she MSNBC? CNN?
Does anyone know WEHT her? Lara Something.

Lara Yunaska. Her TV last name was different. She ended up marrying Eric Trump.

And Jonathan Capeheart was on Morning Joe yesterday, for the first time I can remember. He used to be one of the regulars, and was on like twice a week at least.
Did he opt out of a contract after getting married? Is he making more money at the Post so he doesn't need a TV contract?
by Anonymous | reply 142 | March 9, 2018 4:46 PM |
Eli Stokols does seem very aggressive. I don't think I've ever seen him smile.

MSNBC made a good move in picking up hot Danny Cevallos from CNN
by Anonymous | reply 148 | March 9, 2018 6:34 PM |
Craig Melvin: smart and talented guy, does well on weekends and weekday subbing on the Today Show; was very good on Today's Olympic coverage, and is hot.
I still don't like him as the host of the 1 pm hour on MSNBC. Politics and government don't seem to be his strong suit. He would be a great talk show host if MSNBC or CNBC were to add a late-nite show like Bob Costas or even Chuck Grodin used to have. "Tonight, Craig goes one-on-one with [insert celeb or pop-culture figure here]"
by Anonymous | reply 149 | March 9, 2018 6:41 PM |
Lara Logan originally came to prominence when Katie Couric debuted as CBS News Anchor. Then she started to outshine Katie and Katie had her marginalized on the evening news.

^^ TOTALLY disagree. Very hot, sexy voice.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | March 9, 2018 7:04 PM |
Craig Melvin = okay. The best thing I can say about him is that he's better than that dull as dishwater, now fired, Thomas Roberts.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | March 9, 2018 7:04 PM |
I like Craig.
omfg why is Scaramucci STILL appearing on tv? Is Trump paying him as a tv surrogate?
by Anonymous | reply 154 | March 9, 2018 7:11 PM |
Craig Melvin's voice is annoying as fuck and he's too shallow. He's just a newsreader, out of his depth for MSNBC these days.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | March 9, 2018 7:11 PM |
so Scaramucci said Rachel Maddow should take a "suppository" for "Trump Derangement Syndrome" but has now apologized.
I wonder if she'll even acknowledge the troll or just keep it moving
by Anonymous | reply 156 | March 9, 2018 7:15 PM |
Yeah, I think the only reason Scaramooch went on with Katy Tur today, other than to declare undying love for blotus, was to "apologize" for saying "suppository" about Rachel.
He needs a big thing up his butt to cure douchebaggery
by Anonymous | reply 157 | March 9, 2018 7:22 PM |
Scaramucci and wife were on Dr Phil the other day too.

Gay man here, but Katy Tur is on my short list of women who could have changed me. I love her!
by Anonymous | reply 159 | March 9, 2018 7:31 PM |
Interesting about Craig Melvin. I would agree that his gravelly voice is a big part of his sexiness, even if it's a turn-off for others. What color are his eyes? They're remarkable. And his honey-colored skin.......mmmmmmmmm!
I wish he was on either earlier or later, I'm so rarely home in the middle of the day.

R166 the last few months he's been on MSNBC. He used to be on CNN
by Anonymous | reply 168 | March 10, 2018 1:42 AM |
Then, R162, you must LOVE flighty dunce Stephanie Ruhle!
It should be noted that Craig Melvin uses the noun "Democrat" instead of the adjective "Democratic." I don't know if it's because he's stupid or lazy, but according to him, it's the Democrat Party, the Democrat senator...just like a Fox anchor.
by Anonymous | reply 169 | March 10, 2018 3:53 PM |
R169, when Stephanie Ruhle first started at MSNBC, I also thought she was silly and not too bright. I didn't know her from her days as a Wall Street reporter for CNBC or wherever.
But as it turns out, she is smart, especially about finance and business, and is fierce as an anchor, interviewer and commentator, taking no prisoners.
My first impression was wrong. I admire her for taking a a job that lets her get her kids off to school before work and be home late afternoon before them.
by Anonymous | reply 170 | March 10, 2018 4:52 PM |
I agree she's gotten better, R170, but this is a different job than being a finance expert. And her *snappy* delivery sounds like a ninth grader in HS radio.

I want to play with David Jolly in the steam room. Just don't speak and tell me you're a Repig.
by Anonymous | reply 172 | March 10, 2018 6:20 PM |
Brian Williams has done that too, r169, do you think he's stupid and lazy? Maybe they're just both undercover Repugs.
by Anonymous | reply 173 | March 10, 2018 7:19 PM |
I would definitely get my jollies with hot Daddy David Jolly
by Anonymous | reply 174 | March 10, 2018 7:28 PM |
Only when it's "Democrat Party" instead of "Democratic" is it a signal of Rush Limbaugh-ish sneering. And yes, Fox commentators and some Republican lawmakers make a point to do it.
I've heard Chris Matthews call guests out about it: "It is known as the Democratic Party, isn't it? Or the Democratic National Convention? Why do say 'Democrat' like it's too hard to say the last syllable?"
Saying "Democrat Senator" or "Democrat candidate" is not the same problem. They are all proud Democrats.
by Anonymous | reply 175 | March 10, 2018 7:49 PM |
On the other hand, lefties saying “Democrat” instead of “Democratic” helps to weaken any power it has to insult or minimize.
Kinda like how the gays took back the word Queer—it’s no longer an insult.
by Anonymous | reply 176 | March 10, 2018 7:58 PM |
It's not correct English. To me, "Democrat Senator" is something an inbred hillbilly from Alabama would say.

I love Andrea Mitchell's voice. I wish a lot of the women would study it and emulate it. Voices can really annoy me. I can't figure out what Ari Melber can do with that awful dopey way of talking - probably reflects how dense he is so it's hopeless. Rachel needs to stop the nervous giggling but otherwise I'm ok with her. Chris Matthews needs to retire - all that interrupting, repeating old stories and memes, coughing fits...
As you were.
by Anonymous | reply 182 | March 11, 2018 5:14 PM |
OK, he's not an MSNBC host but he's on their shows often. I find NYT's Michael Schmidt so flippin' sexy! He's a bit expressionless and monotone, but still he's attractive.
by Anonymous | reply 183 | March 11, 2018 5:16 PM |
My two favorites are Joy and Rachel. But....
I wish Joy would slow it down a little bit. Sometimes it seems like she wants to out Chris Matthews, Chris Matthews. Maybe she wants the Hardball gig when he retires. Sometimes I think... Joy you've got two hours here no need to rush through it. I love her though.
And Rachel's every day is a big news day shtick gets annoying sometimes. Yeah, Rachel Trump is still batshit crazy and at this point it's no longer big news. Unfortunately, it's the new normal. I used to get annoyed with her "help me understand this" shtick when everyone knows she's the smartest bitch in the room. But now I get why she does that.
by Anonymous | reply 184 | March 11, 2018 5:28 PM |
Stephanie is great, she really impressed me when she was the one talking over Chris Matthews! Never seen anyone do that. She is a tough interviewer too. Betsy Woodruff is another whip smart woman. Here analysis is usually spot on. What about David Gura? Where did he come from? ESPN? I can't stand Michael Schmidt. The way he talks, speaking voice, and his mouth is so tiny. He mouth is Trumpian.
by Anonymous | reply 185 | March 11, 2018 5:55 PM |
Michael Schmidt and Peter Baker can come over to my house and do unspeakable things to me.

Which of the WaPo guys trained as a figure skater as a kid? I just caught some of that conversation with Craig Melvin on Sirius radio the other day, but the guy is a frequent MSNBC contributor and when Craig said "NBC could have used you as a commentator last month" the guy seemed embarrassed and made a point of saying "Tara and Johnny are great, keep them."
You know the one I mean. He breaks big stories out of the White House every week.
by Anonymous | reply 189 | March 11, 2018 6:28 PM |
Even though he used to be White House Press Secretary, he's on MSNBC to give his commentary from time to time, so I'm counting him in . . .

Ezra Klein is a disgusting BernieBro to this day. When Politico called Bernie Sanders out for lying about his campaign's behavior during the primaries two weeks ago, Ezra almost had a meltdown and quickly went into PR mode. He used his platform to single handendly give Bernie credit for all the good things that have happened after the 2016 elections. Going so far as to call him a purist.
Fuck him and the Berniebros like him.

I hope you guys are watching Rachel tonight. They talked about the golden showers and some pretty damning things about the slow reaction of US Intelligence and the Obama Administration. In other words, they just rolled over.
by Anonymous | reply 212 | March 13, 2018 2:43 AM |
Saying that they “rolled over” is hopelessly simplistic and biased, troll. No one cares what you think.

What the hell? Listen up troll @ R213, head back to 4Chan and troll them there. Blocked.
by Anonymous | reply 214 | March 13, 2018 2:49 AM |
Rachel first staged a reading of the book, including the speculation about the veracity or time / place of the golden showers. Then she had Isakoff and Korn in the studio talking about the secret high level source in the Kremlin circles who gave info to the intelligence services, which info may have become a victim to inter-agency territorial and power games.
Both Isakoff and Korn looked grim and serious. The book drops tomorrow if I got it right, and should be required reading.

But she's better than sandpaper-voiced airhead Craig Melvin.
by Anonymous | reply 225 | March 13, 2018 6:12 PM |
Andrea had a great show today. She knows the State Department as well or better than any other reporter working, and always gets great guests (many of whom aren't on contract to the network, but who have a lot to add).
My question--WTF with Joe Scarborough appearing for the second morning in a row, without Mika who is "under the weather" to "host" his show from what appears to be a vacant NBC Sports studio? All the others are at 30 Rock or in DC, but he's somewhere else. Seriously, is he unable to get to work in the morning?

Ari serves a good show every night. You can endure 30-seconds rap quote, and you may actually learn something new.

Ari's show is good but his rap quotes kind of derail the seriousness of his topic. It just seems silly.

Ari's rating numbers are the best of anyone who has occupied the slot, particularly among the younger demographics. Whatever he is doing, he should continue to do. Those younger demographics are important as they typically go to less reliable (online) news sources.

Mika had her face lift - just as Trump said - about a year ago. You can see her "facelift ears" sewn to her face in front of the jawline. She wears her hair back so you can see it. At least she's cleaned up her wardrobe so you don't have to see her breast implants spilling all over the table anymore...

by Anonymous | reply 255 | March 14, 2018 6:40 PM |
Hate Chuck Toady. HATE.
Just now a GOPer was saying about Trump: Let's look at things from his POV, he's doing great by the metrics he is using - the Dow, jobs numbers, etc. - but when and when he turns on cable news, people are beating the crap out of him. So he wants people to go out and defend him in the media."
And Chuck was like he just got an epiphany. "That's a great way of putting it! The metrics HE is using (massive gesticulating)! Where are the folks defending him on that."

If Steve Kornacki was straight or closeted, Datalounge would love him.
by Anonymous | reply 257 | March 14, 2018 11:14 PM |
R256 I heard that on Sirius. The same guy blamed Democrats for the House Intelligence Russia Investigation failures equally. I mean really? Not a word from Chuck.

Odd, because the DL used to HATE Kornacki.

How R263? He is so cute, and out, and pure.
by Anonymous | reply 264 | March 15, 2018 5:01 PM |
R264, you just answered your question.
Welcome to Datalounge!

DL was convinced he was a closet Republican. Found him too quick to defend Trump and the GOP when he was hosting shows.

Steve K had been up all all night and then was on MSNBC early Wednesday morning, having trouble with the smartboard. Funny stuff, but he explained very clearly how the apparent Dem win would hold.

I like Ali Velshi because he's not afraid to say that Trump LIES! Not some euphemism like "misspeaks" -- he calls a lie a lie & doesn't hesitate to do so several times a day if necessary.
by Anonymous | reply 271 | March 15, 2018 9:22 PM |
Ali was like, LIES! LIES! LIEEEES!
I think he felt personally offended, as a Canadian.
by Anonymous | reply 272 | March 15, 2018 9:40 PM |
I said come on Justin, and he's like a good-looking guy, right, but not as good looking as me, that I can tell you. I said, hey, young man, your country, I mean, trade deficit. And he said no. And I said yes, but I was making it up. And he said no, or maybe he said he'd get back to me with proof, or whatever, but I didn't care because WE HAVE BEEN SO STUPID UNTIL ME.
by Anonymous | reply 273 | March 15, 2018 9:46 PM |

I'm personally offended, as an American. Trump was lying to Trudeau on my behalf, which I'd never ask anyone to do.
by Anonymous | reply 274 | March 15, 2018 10:51 PM |
Seriously Ali said the word Lie in regard to trump/& the white house no less than 20 times today!

Yeah, he was incensed.
by Anonymous | reply 276 | March 15, 2018 11:16 PM |
Had to turn off Chris Matthews and watch the recording of 4pm Nicolle Wallace instead. WTF is he trying to give Trump a pass as an innocent surrounded by crooks?? I know he knows better than that! All his guests were looking at him with a "stop the bullshit" look tonight.
by Anonymous | reply 277 | March 16, 2018 1:15 AM |
If it makes you feel any better (it shouldn't) apparently the entire conversation with Justin Trudeau may have been made up so it's like a lie within a lie. He's becoming the matryoshka dolls of lying. Can't wait to see Steve Kornacki do the breakdown on that.

Ashley has some of the biggest bags under her eyes of any pundit on TV. They used to not try to hide them, but somebody at MSNBC finally got her a makeup person, so she's much improved. But she does have the hangdog resting face issue. See link

Some of the reporters like Michael Schmidt, Robert Costa and Jonathan Swan who are ALWAYS appearing on the network in one capacity or another -- in addition to their continuing duties as field reporters for their respective newspapers -- you have to wonder how much of a sex life they have. They're constantly either churning out articles for their papers or giving comments on TV. How much of a sex life can they have?
by Anonymous | reply 291 | March 16, 2018 3:17 AM |
If there’s any justice in the world, then Robert Costa is getting his fat cock drained each and every day. Sexy like that gets what it wants, when it wants it.

By the way, Danny Cevallos is hot. Is he gay? Hard to believe AC didn't hit that while he was at CNN.

by Anonymous | reply 334 | March 17, 2018 11:48 PM |
Not only is he not gay, (married with 3 kids), but until recently, considered himself a proud Republican. I'm not sure if he's still Republican, but he's definitely no longer proud of it. He's sort of Republican the way Nicolle Wallace and Rick Wilson are Republicans now.

R336, I'm with you. I had a brilliant history prof when I was 20 who at least twice my age, and he looked a bit like Meachum (longer hair, but same style, it was the early 90s). He turned me on, as he did lots of straight girls and probably a few other guys other than myself.
I would have let him ravish me, or ravished him at his request. But only after I wasn't his student anymore (which would be allowed and plus I'm not a whore)

She just called him Creepy.

And NW replied “You really are exactly as my dear pals at Fox decribe.”
And then got off and poppin!

As strong a presence as she is at 4pm, I do wish Nicolle had a nighttime slot.
It would grow her audience for her personally, and for me, well, I'm not in the mood for tv til late, and I don't dvr. Would love her to swap spots with Brian Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 345 | March 19, 2018 10:26 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 350 | March 19, 2018 10:37 PM |
What's your preferred lineup? Mine:
2pm Ari Melber (this slot is often bumped by White House pressers)
4pm Chris Mathews
6pm Katy
7pm chris Hayes
8pm Nicolle Wallace
11pm ?
by Anonymous | reply 351 | March 19, 2018 10:39 PM |
No inside info, but if I had to place a long outside bet:
Chris Matthews takes "Hardball" to a once weekly pre-taped show, probably Friday or Sunday nights, and becomes their "chief senior political analyst" or whatever, with as many appearances as he wants per week for however long.
Nicolle takes the 6 pm or 7 pm slot unless she wants 8 pm. Ari M and Chris Hayes adjust accordingly. But my guess is she wants to home with her kids in the evening, so I'd bet on 6 pm
by Anonymous | reply 352 | March 19, 2018 10:41 PM |
Your Mathews theory sounds very plausible , r352. It's respectful to his long service yet wiley in moving him out.
Love the idea of a Nicolle-Rachel-Lawrence lineup from 8 til 11.
I'd like to see Dan Rather in the 11 o'clock spot. Love his occasional commentary with Rachel.

by Anonymous | reply 358 | March 19, 2018 11:37 PM |
R358, interrupting is his schtick. I'm used to it.
What annoys me most about Matthews is his tendency to repeat his "brilliant" observations over and over. He does this quite often with his Trump Watch. He just can't wait until that segment to spout his conclusion of the day during every previous segment. You know by the end of A Block what his theme of the day is.
He does this when being a pundit on live events too.
by Anonymous | reply 359 | March 19, 2018 11:46 PM |
I've always liked Chris Matthews and his passionate tangents. I remember the inaugural coverage when he couldn't stop talking about Trump's ridiculously long tie, unbuttoned coat and general slovenliness, which he saw as disrespectful.

eew Jim Jordan? Even if you put his despicable repub and Drumpf-defending ways aside, his teeth are pathetic for someone with a decent salary. He's not even that old
Still, the fact that he's basically Devin Nunes-lite is a permanent turnoff
I can't believe Katy couldn't handle him. He's a liar. That should be easy to call out

Adding to r389, I'd like our country to not bring out the knives and nooses every time there's a disagreement. We could be so much better than that. I also very much doubt that Rachel Maddow will be refusing after-work drinks with Nicolle Wallace in the future.

by Anonymous | reply 403 | March 21, 2018 12:53 PM |
My problem with Swan (and a whole lot of other pundits on major media outles) is he's not American. I think we may be the only country in the West where large percentages of our political commentary is by ex-pats, mostly British. I think it skews perspectives, probably in mostly subtle ways. Keep an ear out for British accents on the news opinion shows, you'll be amazed once you notice.
by Anonymous | reply 404 | March 21, 2018 2:02 PM |
And yes, I know Swan's not British, however, Aussies are close enough for my purposes.

by Anonymous | reply 422 | March 22, 2018 2:42 PM |
R421 As much as I love Maddow, and I hate to burst your bubble, I think you're mistaken. It's MSNBC's top show, and she wins a few demos and the time slot occasionally, but I think the overall winner is still Hannity on Fox. This really disturbed until I realized Hannity doesn't have any real competition for the garbage he's spewing. Fox has alternative facts, but there's no alternative tv program spouting the same point of view. Rachel loses viewers to CNN. I know I go back and forth. And fans of Hannity are as likely to switch over to Rachel as Deplorables are as likely to...well, any number of things. But I think you get my drift.
I just think it's important we stay as aware as possible of the enemy and the power he has so we're better equipped to fight. (the enemy being Fox news and it's like, of course).
by Anonymous | reply 423 | March 22, 2018 7:22 PM |
Hannity is a stupid monster, but at least he doesn't cackle in mid-sentence, manically do eye rolls and side-eyes, pitch his voice to the shrieking point, do a fake stammer, do uptalk, or repeat himself over and over again.
by Anonymous | reply 424 | March 22, 2018 7:30 PM |
R424 makes a good point but not for the reason he thinks, which is why I'm not simply dismissing him as a troll as most of you probably are.
I see Hannity as snug and self-righteous. But his viewers see him as confident, friendly, sincere, and most important, identifiable. Therefore, convincing. He's great at what he does. It's what makes him so dangerous.
And to them, Maddow is a smug, pretentious know-it-all lesbian. They don't know any smart lesbians. There's nothing about her they can relate to.
by Anonymous | reply 425 | March 22, 2018 7:42 PM |
r423 she is top MSNBC, but also beating poor Hannity most nights. and she is often top cable program. millions and millions cannot be wrong. right?
by Anonymous | reply 426 | March 22, 2018 8:20 PM |
She just drags on and on and on and on and on.....
by Anonymous | reply 427 | March 22, 2018 8:49 PM |
R426 Just to be clear, my intention isn't to disparage Maddow. I haven't missed an episode in two years! ... "millions and millions cannot be wrong". But there are just as many millions watching Hannity, (give or take a slight amount at various times). Are they wrong?
My point is it is way too soon to declare any kind of victory, lots more work to be done. People should be protesting Fox News the way they march in other cities. Google Scott Dworkin. For years he's been attempting to get support in his battle waged against Fox and more specifically, Hannity. CNN's Brian Stelter has also attempted to inform as much he can. The problem is, the right people aren't listening.
R427 I tape Rachel on my DVR and don't start watching until at least 15 minutes into the program, and I keep my finger on the FF button. I advise anyone with that issue to do the same. I've also learned to skip her 5-min intro sections and get right to whatever important interview she's about to conduct. Same thing with L O'D.
by Anonymous | reply 428 | March 22, 2018 9:06 PM |
let's check the scoreboard! Hannity and Maddow seem to alternate leading in the ratings. but Maddow gets better demo numbers, all Hannity can do is pull in the nearly dead demo.
by Anonymous | reply 429 | March 22, 2018 9:16 PM |
[quote]I tape Rachel on my DVR and don't start watching until at least 15 minutes into the program, and I keep my finger on the FF button.
Well then you're a moron, R428, because you're missing all the dot-connecting she does about Dump and Russia, which is her major journalistic contribution to this era, something she was out front on, and key to understanding what is really happening.
All because you have the attention span of a millennial whose mommy forgot to refill their Adderall prescription.
by Anonymous | reply 430 | March 22, 2018 9:24 PM |
I feel sorry for people like R427/R428 who have such limited attention spans that a five minute explanation of the background to a story, which I find often the most informational and interesting part of the show. Her Interviews are usually excellent too, but her intros really (sorry for the cliche) connect the dots. Nobody else on cable does it as clearly and as well.
by Anonymous | reply 431 | March 22, 2018 9:28 PM |
"Have I summarized your article accurately, have I missed anything I should have said?"
No, Rachel, your fishing for a compliment right off the bat is totally effective.
by Anonymous | reply 432 | March 22, 2018 9:47 PM |
Just want to point out that not all of Rachel’s audience “endure” her. Plenty, myself included, find her to be confident, friendly, sincere, and most important, identifiable.
by Anonymous | reply 433 | March 22, 2018 10:09 PM |
R432 - It's hardly fishing for a compliment. Bright high school seniors can also summarize articles. This is Rachel's opportunity to give the author a chance to highlight something in the article s/he had thought important or that had been underplayed. I can't imagine how much it galls journalists when their original work is misrepresented or misconstrued by others trying to summarize. It's pretty endemic actually. It's respectful of the writer, not a fishing expedition by a Rhodes scholar, FFS

I still don't think a lot of you are getting my point. Ratings, Shmatings! It doesn't matter which of the two is actually beating the other in viewers.
Good: Millions are watching Rachel consistently and it appears her numbers are growing. All she needs is to keep doing what she's doing.
Bad: Millions are still watching Hannity and believing the dangerous, bullshit conspiracies he's selling and deliberately not being informed of the real and important news. We have to start a concerted effort to reach these people and convince them they are being lied to and brainwashed. And for those we can't reach, we start bombarding his advertisers with protests and letters in an effort to get Shammity taken off the air. If he's not on, the Deplorables can't be misinfomed. If any way possible to shut Fox down altogether, or have them broadcast 24 hours of Shep Smith - whatever works. Sometimes the mighty do fall. Let's see where Facebook is next year at this time.

Are you kidding me? He's on an hour a day. Fox fills their time the other 23 hours with just as much lies and bullshit. And if in some dream world he was taken off the air he would just be replaced with somebody as bad if not worse. If you're a person watching Fox News all day and night, you'll never be convinced the other side has anything of merit to say.
by Anonymous | reply 440 | March 23, 2018 1:34 AM |
R439 "Convince Trump to appoint Hannity to head HUD. Two birds....:
Trump appointed two more personalities from Fox Today. Everybody is predicting he will offer Hannity a job. I suspect he already did but Hannity turned him down.
First off, Hannity is most useful staying exactly where he is, misinforming the Deplorables.
Second, why take a tremendous pay cut? That piece of shit makes in excess of 16 million a year!
by Anonymous | reply 441 | March 23, 2018 7:18 AM |
R441, both of those reasons are why I suggested it. The third is replacing Ben Carson. Then, if he goes after the Asian Transportation woman, he'll have the completely all old white male cabinet his racist heart desires.

Wonder if it's the nature of their relationship, or Joe simply can't let a woman speak without talking over her. The two together are a terrible combo, the only upside it when they're sniping at each other.
by Anonymous | reply 449 | March 23, 2018 6:47 PM |
Fox has a new psycho they just added to their roster BTW. They have given Mark Levin a Saturday night show. He puts on the same type of dramatic, angry show that you see from Hannity and Pirro. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets an upgrade in the next year to a weekday show. I'm sure deplorables will love him.

by Anonymous | reply 496 | March 27, 2018 2:25 PM |
With how he has presented himself in the media, Avanatti has guaranteed himself more business than he'll be able to handle, and any network pundit job if he wants one. Smartest pro bono work he's ever done.
by Anonymous | reply 497 | March 27, 2018 7:15 PM |
I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Avenatti is talked into running for office himself within a few years, and maybe he'll end up being POTUS in 2032.
by Anonymous | reply 498 | March 27, 2018 7:41 PM |
I haven't read her name in awhile in this thread, but I am always impressed by Chris Jansing. She seems to fill in for many of the daytime hosts, and she makes bouncing between the set and outside locations look easy.
Whether it's a light or heavy topic, she's always well informed about the facts and manages both individual and panel guests comfortably.
Plus, she's 61! She looks great!
by Anonymous | reply 499 | March 27, 2018 8:09 PM |
61? Wow. She looks amazing. I think she's great, too. Always very polished.
by Anonymous | reply 500 | March 27, 2018 8:22 PM |
CJ looks and sounds refreshingly normal. Remember: Melanie Griffith is the same age.
by Anonymous | reply 501 | March 27, 2018 8:26 PM |
And she's younger than Madonna!
by Anonymous | reply 502 | March 27, 2018 8:28 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 503 | March 27, 2018 8:29 PM |
Donna Edwards is 60 and looks like she's in her 40s.
by Anonymous | reply 504 | March 27, 2018 8:49 PM |
How old is Michal A? 40s?
by Anonymous | reply 505 | March 27, 2018 8:51 PM |
I just read his bio. He's 47. Did you know he's a professional race car driver? I agree with the poster upthread who said he's not dating, let alone relationship material. His looks and hotness just don't trump his monumental ego. I am curious what his dating and general relations with women are like given he is representing Daniels against someone as sexist as Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 506 | March 27, 2018 9:00 PM |
I love Avenatti but I fear he is overexposing himself. He would be wise to limit his TV appearances to one or two a week for awhile.
by Anonymous | reply 507 | March 27, 2018 10:31 PM |
Steve K is cute.
by Anonymous | reply 508 | March 28, 2018 12:15 AM |
I bet Steve K is a bottom but hasn't learned to enjoy it yet. I'll bet anal scares the hell out of him and he's just into oral and j/o. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
by Anonymous | reply 511 | March 28, 2018 5:51 AM |
Steve has messy bms and that makes him nervous about anal
by Anonymous | reply 512 | March 28, 2018 8:24 PM |
I wish I could figure out why Chris Jansing is just a daytime fill-in host. Maybe she is a reporter for Nightly News and travels to some stories, or maybe she doesn't want a daily hour of her own anymore, but she is so good and yes, she looks way better than Madonna, who is a few years younger
by Anonymous | reply 513 | March 28, 2018 8:57 PM |
yeah wow I need to know what Chris Jansing has had done. She looks young and NATURAL

Katy Tur is alright but sometimes she gets played. Like with that despicable hillbilly Jim Jordan, he needs someone really sharp, cuz he is one slimy motherfucker.

I have had enough Jennifer Rubin to last me for awhile. I find her unpleasant to watch and listen to, and she's not particularly insightful. Can't they find a token Conservative that's not so schlubby?
by Anonymous | reply 522 | March 31, 2018 1:52 AM |
Do you prefer the Rightwing lunacy of Noelle Nikpour?
by Anonymous | reply 523 | March 31, 2018 2:08 AM |
I enjoy Jennifer Rubin. She along with Rick Wilson and Steve Schmidt are funny conservatives who rip Drumpf and his cronies to shreds.
by Anonymous | reply 524 | March 31, 2018 2:14 AM |
I appreciate Jennifer Rubin's lack of style. She's really serious. But with a healthy sense of humor.
by Anonymous | reply 525 | March 31, 2018 2:40 AM |
I like Josh Barro a lot. As a matter of fact, if they don't give him a show, they should at least let him sit on my face for a few hours.
by Anonymous | reply 526 | March 31, 2018 4:01 AM |
It’s so hard to follow Joe. Some days he’s more anti Trump than Maddow. Other days he pushes the republican pro Trump narratives further than Fox News. No matter which way Joe’s wind blows, Mika just sits there like a toaster on the fritz.
by Anonymous | reply 527 | March 31, 2018 4:03 AM |
Josh Barro needs someone to dress him, he often looks sloppy, wearing the same thing over and over again.
by Anonymous | reply 528 | March 31, 2018 4:11 AM |
I was wondering about Robert Costa. How did he lose all that weight?
by Anonymous | reply 529 | March 31, 2018 5:38 AM |
Agree about Chris Jansing. She seems to be underappreciated. I wish they'd dump Chris Matthews for her.
by Anonymous | reply 530 | March 31, 2018 5:47 AM |
I think Josh Barro is smashing but he always looks very tense on camera. He needs to relax just a little, maybe develop a sense of humor.
by Anonymous | reply 531 | March 31, 2018 2:03 PM |
Chuck Todd gets dragged on Twitter for disrespecting Good Friday of all things. What an ignorant asshole this guy is. Needs to STFU.
“I’m a bit hokey when it comes to “Good Friday.” I don’t mean disrespect to the religious aspect of the day, but I love the idea of reminding folks that any day can become “good,” all it takes is a little selflessness on our own part. Works EVERY time.”
by Anonymous | reply 532 | March 31, 2018 7:18 PM |
This new daytime stud is sexy as fuck. Big barrel chest, strong jawline, great hair. Movie star smile.
by Anonymous | reply 533 | March 31, 2018 8:18 PM |
I agree, R531. To be so cute, Josh does come off rather joyless. It would be nice to see him smile more often.
Even with all the horrible news they have to report almost every day, people like Rachel, Ari, Joy and Lawrence still manage to put across vibrant personalities.
by Anonymous | reply 534 | March 31, 2018 8:30 PM |
Is the day time stud you refer to David Gura, r533? Thomas Roberts' replacement? I love his Clark Kentish but with blonde hair looks!
by Anonymous | reply 535 | March 31, 2018 10:54 PM |
I think he means the new daytime weekend anchor. I didn't catch his name. He was on today. Not Gura
by Anonymous | reply 536 | March 31, 2018 11:23 PM |
Hallie Jackson is horrible. She sits at that anchor desk and acts as if she's hosting a game show. Everything is loud, bombastic and goddamn annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 537 | March 31, 2018 11:45 PM |
I expect Hallie Jackson's flying hand to hit contributor sitting to her immediate left. I understand talking with one's hands; however, she takes it another level.
Best moment back late last year, when Kristen Welker was on the WH lawn and broke back to Jackson in the studio and said, "And now back to Alkie." Stammer and quick correction, but I laughed myself silly.
by Anonymous | reply 538 | April 1, 2018 1:06 AM |
IT wasn’t David Gura. I watched for a while but they didn’t show his name, he didn’t say his own name, and no one addressed him by his name. Mystery Sexy Newsman.

Stephanie Ruhle obviously just had her eyes done! She used to be all squinty-eyed, which I thought was part of her appeal. And I don't know how she breathes out of those tiny tiny nostrils as she keeps thinning down her nose. Why do people get all of this obvious work done?

While Hayes was interviewing Robert Costa on the phone, they showed a file pic of Costa pre-slimming. Quite the facial difference.

I just saw on some site that said Costa's dramatic weight loss is reportedly due to dieting, not exercise, and that he's rumored to have a wife and kids, but that there's no evidence of that, so no one knows for sure.

They've been putting Carol Leonnig on a lot recently, but although she breaks a lot of stories, she's a snooze on the air. Monotone, slow spoken, frozen expression, drab style, just a zero presence. She irks me.

Thanks for posting, R552.
I very rarely have thoughts of committing physical violence, but just the sight of Hugh Hewitt's smug, ugly face enrages me. That's before he even opens his stupid mouth.
by Anonymous | reply 560 | April 4, 2018 10:38 PM |
Thanks from me, too, r552. Jesus, Hugh Hewitt is a smarmy piece of work.
"I've known him for ten years, he's been on radio show dozens of times(about just about every republican anyone names);" "Scott Pruitt is a friend, he's been a great public servant and my son works at the EPA, full disclosure;" "There's nothing to see here, all these ethics complaints are political in nature, Stephanie, and are the work of democrats unhappy with the agenda" and so forth.
Hewitt is a pseudo-intellectual poser with a sweet radio gig in California. He is at the bottom of the rung of cable hosts, with a half-hour on early Saturday mornings. But he acts like he is the voice of reason among conservatives. Funny that Fox never wanted him.
by Anonymous | reply 561 | April 4, 2018 10:52 PM |
why did MSNBC give him a weekend half hour morning show?
by Anonymous | reply 562 | April 4, 2018 11:20 PM |
Was just watching Robert Costa on Chris Matthews. He's swimming in his suits now, pretty much half the size he used to be, saw a clip of him from last year, and it was astonishing how much he has changed, and how great he looks thin.

Both Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell are 71 years old and need to retire already and give some of these young studs a chance for their own shows.

R564 I agree with you about Matthews, but I think Mitchell is at the top of her game.
by Anonymous | reply 566 | April 5, 2018 12:46 AM |
I am not a hater of Andrea Mitchell but she just gets so tongue tied much of the time she can barely get her thoughts out, she is a good interviewer when she can speak, but that is becoming much less frequent.

Stammering and spitting and confusion are considered behavioral quirks on a man (Matthews) and an indicator that its Retirement time for a woman (Mitchell).

Considering the types of stories he and his colleagues are breaking, one can understand why hiding a family might be paramount. Trump's supporters from within or without our country are mob-related types who would use the worst means possible to silence opposition. They have murdered dozens and it will not stop even within our own borders.
