She better write fast if she wants to put out more than one volume.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 27, 2018 1:29 AM |
I honestly thought she was dead.

Gloria Estefan was going to play Connie in biopic "Who's Sorry Now." What happened?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 27, 2018 1:34 AM |
Publisher:"Concetta Literary, Inc".
It's self published? Surprising for a star of her caliber.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 27, 2018 1:35 AM |
I wouldn't buy it but borrow it.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 27, 2018 1:43 AM |
Bobby Darin? I think her father threatened to kill him?

The answer would have been: The audience!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 27, 2018 2:51 AM |
Streisand stole her career.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 27, 2018 2:57 AM |
r3 is seriously mathematically challenged. Are you saying she was 10 years old during "Where the Boys Are?"
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 27, 2018 3:05 AM |
She's 79. She'll be 80 in December.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 27, 2018 3:06 AM |
The quote from Steel Magnolias comes to mind : "her whole life has been an experiment in terror."
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 27, 2018 3:08 AM |
r15 She was born in 1937. She's already 80.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 27, 2018 3:21 AM |
Connie says she was born in 1940. See at 3:50 mark.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 27, 2018 3:33 AM |
Who gives a shit about that dried up cunt?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 27, 2018 3:43 AM |
"Who gives a shit about that dried up cunt?"
More people give a shit about her than they ever will about YOU, you nasty bitchy cunty cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 27, 2018 3:45 AM |
R19 = Brenda Lee.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 27, 2018 4:05 AM |
I love her, I'd buy five. She's a great talent.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 27, 2018 4:22 AM |
Please, she's such a has-been she might have circled back to being relevant.
All she needs is another good rape.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 27, 2018 8:16 AM |
Love Connie.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 27, 2018 9:12 AM |
Connie got to enjoy free black sizemeat at a motel eons ago and then sued the motel for zillion$$$$.
Ungrateful stinkfish!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 27, 2018 10:13 AM |
That's one plasticky-looking wig.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 27, 2018 12:24 PM |
Bios claim Connie was born in Newark.. She was born at St. John's Episcopal Hospital on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. The family moved to the Down Neck (now Ironbound) section of Newark in the early 40s.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 27, 2018 12:41 PM |
Whether born there or not, she's 100% Jersey girl. Just listen to her talk.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 27, 2018 2:28 PM |
Is her voice still in as good a shape as Babs' voice?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 27, 2018 2:45 PM |
What was she wearing to incite such a brutal attack?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 27, 2018 3:00 PM |
She looks like a Real Housewife of NJ.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 27, 2018 3:52 PM |
She actually sang mostly happy fun songs, they just weren't as big of hits as her sadder ones.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 27, 2018 5:25 PM |
That hotel should have won the lawsuit. Connie was naked on the bed fingering herself- with the door unlocked. Whore!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 27, 2018 5:46 PM |
Wow for some reasom I thought she was dead. Seems like people only refer to her in the past tense.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 27, 2018 5:53 PM |
She's alive; it's her career that's dead.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 27, 2018 5:55 PM |
She’s been milking this rape for all its worth for decades. And I always wondered what exactly made this rape so “brutal” which is the way it is always described. Methinks it was because the perpetrator was a black man and that is problematic at best. That being said, she is one of my favorite singers of all time. But she does need to move on. It’s time.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 27, 2018 5:58 PM |
Whenever people talk about a rape being brutal I just assume it means the guy had a huge dick.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 27, 2018 6:00 PM |
She was super involved in the mob. Her brother was offed when he was a DA due to mob dealings.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 27, 2018 7:49 PM |
I absolutely love Connie Francis! Her autobiography was published in the 1980s, so she’ll have a different perspective today. She suffered nervous breakdowns and an estrangement from her father. (She made peace with him) after her first book was published. She’s had more triumphs and tragedies, as well. Connie is a survivor and an inspiration.
As for the Gloria Estefan project, this ended due to artistic differences. Connie wanted top notch script writers (specifically she insisted that the writer of the Judy Garland mini series with Judy Davis, to write the script). Gloria Estefan and her husband disagreed. Connie was right, an excellent script writer was needed.

"She’s been milking this rape for all its worth for decades."
How has she been doing that? It was no doubt mentioned in her memoirs but that doesn't constitute "milking the rape for all it's worth." She's been out of the spotlight for decades. So how exactly does she "milk" her rape?
I realize this is Datalounge but the assholes attempting to be funny by making light of her being raped and saying stupid shit like she was "naked on the bed fingering herself"...well, that's just really sick. And stupid. Quite of few retards on this thread, it would seem.

THANKS, R 32! Further proof that SCTV puts SNL to shame!
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 27, 2018 11:16 PM |
That SCTV video is posted to Connie's official Vimeo page. It's cool that she has a sense of humor about herself.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 27, 2018 11:20 PM |
Fuck off back to LSA, R37.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 27, 2018 11:26 PM |
Connie lived in Newark, went to high school in Belleville where there's a street named for her, and lived in Bloomfield. The New Jersey Hall of Fame ignores her because brother George was a low-level mobster. Murdered on the front lawn in the town where Tony Soprano lived.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 27, 2018 11:35 PM |
Connie made albums in Italian, French, German and Hebrew.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 27, 2018 11:43 PM |
Possibly the most depressing song she ever recorded.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 27, 2018 11:47 PM |
R49, that Bossa Nova Hand Dance is one of her best songs. Not sure why it didn't chart better at the time.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 27, 2018 11:52 PM |
I dont get the generalized poo-pooing of Connie, here.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 28, 2018 12:12 AM |
Because she was a mob-backed talentless WHoRE.
Was she raped up the back door, front or both?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 28, 2018 7:08 AM |
Useless without nude photos of the 'rapist' so that DL can judge if it was a good thing or not!
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 28, 2018 10:24 AM |
Question for the Eldergays: Did she make an appearance at Palm Springs Gay Pride in the early 2000s? While walking towards a dance tent, I looked at a stage to my diagonal left and there she was (if it was her.) The audience screamed and catcalled during Where The Boys Are. It was beautiful to watch.

^LOL thanks r55
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 28, 2018 4:09 PM |
Could’ve sworn she was dead.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 28, 2018 4:41 PM |
Connie Francis channeled her tragedy into helping victims of crime, particularly rape. She is also a champion for veteran causes. Later, she was an advocate mental health issues. This is a woman to be admired and respected for her compassion. I love her!
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 28, 2018 8:43 PM |
She got addicted to black cock.
Whore!
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 28, 2018 10:02 PM |
Bossa Nova Hand Dance went to number 1 three times in Brazil, years separating the entries.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 22, 2018 8:16 PM |
R37 It was brutal because a knife was held to her throat and she was nearly suffocated when she was bound and mattresses were thrown on top pf her. He was an angry rapist. She bargained for he life. I agree with you, she should concentrate upon the many positives of her career and leave this event behind. It has been spoken about zillions of times.
