I didn't always understand what he was trying to accomplish, but I liked Ryan. Very sorry to see this update.

He was trying to shake a demon and find a Russian bride while becoming a basic cable star along the way.

Sadly, his friends all turned on him and the demon won...

Never watched the show but vaguely familiar with the subject matter thanks to a few threads on DL when he, or maybe it was the Serg guy, came out as bi. Anyway, this sounds like a real soap opera.

Buell never had cancer...It was just a ruse to collect money from 'fan's. Ryan came out as bi but he's likely totally gay and has even said how he had conflicted feelings his whole life because of his religion. Sergey was in a relationship with him for a long time.

He was at Penn State where his group began. He was a very good-looking guy then.

Ryan spiralled into heavy addictions. He took money for seminars, then cancelled or didn't show and failed to return advancements. His mother has begged people not to enable him.

He's been in recovery for a while and actually looks great today, perhaps the best he's ever looked. He also looks like he's in another relationship with a man and there are lots of photos of him with his mom, so it looks like they've made up.

That Sergey guy may be bi but he and the wife sure seem to be overcompensating with the lovey dovey crap and I think there might be a christian anti-gay angle - lots of references to god and prayer....

I used to watch Paranormal State all the time. Even if it was baloney, it was really entertaining, and I liked both Ryan and Katrina (who is now on that show Paranormal Lockdown). I remember reading about Ryan's problems a few years ago and seeing the photos of him. He was pretty clearly a meth addict. I looked at his Facebook and Twitter and he seems to be doing well. He looks healthy. I always thought he was really handsome. He also has an extremely sexy, deep voice.

I was wondering about him tonight and found his blog apparently he’s healthy again.

Wait so does this mean Serge was an addict too?

To this day I cringe thinking of Eilfie's horrible skin and how she had to go on tv like that.

Serge was not an addict and that's why he broke up with Ryan.

If you listen to his podcasts during his meth era, he was worse than a wreck. He even talked about flashing people at conventions.
