He's never really been as present as you would expect after his show ended. Is that by choice? I bet he had a lot to say about Trump, but we will never hear it.
Does Marlo let him even speak?

Marlo doesnt let him out much.

Last week, I heard Donohue being interviewed on a regional public radio station. He talked a lot about Trump. Nothing good to say about him. Of course.

Well here he is defending Trump. Advancing senility perhaps?

does Phil tweet? opinions tend not to mean anything unless you tweet them out.

If I made the yuge mistake of marrying uber cunt Marlo Thomas, I'd be keeping a very low profile, too.

Most of what he says about Trump is under the table.

[quote] Senility perhaps?
Or perhaps while Marlo has kept him locked in the bedroom he had time to notice the choir of almost totally white male New York and Los Angeles talk show hosts, all singing exactly the same song.

I always imagined they have a dom/sub relationship. Picture Phil with a ball gag and nipple clamps while Marlo wields a whip.

He always seemed really old to me when I was little. When he retired, I thought, "oh no, what's mommy going to watch now? Luckily, she eventually became an Oprah fan.

Didn't Phil get canned by the liberal media as "off message"? His career never recovered. If I recall the liberal media gave W Bush a free pass from September 2001 to early 2004. It was the "War on Terror" and TV media were careful to avoid criticism of US foreign policy. Phil was a casualty of this trend.
It was a weird time that saw MSNBC hire ultra-right nutcase Michael Savage.

He was a complete asshole to many people. On Katherine Hepburn's (possibly) final interview, the woman was half dead, and he was SO rude to her - total prick.

He looks almost unrecognizable. .

Marlo Thomas used to be so beautiful until all the fillers, etc.
Too plump for an 80 year old!

Phil Donahue when he started his famous talk show in 1967. He turned 82 last December.

Looking at r16s photo I would NEVER have guessed that's Marlo. I can't even see a hint of the Marlo I recall.
In the latter days of Phil's onscreen career sometimes I'd tune in and mute the audio, just watching his bizarre facial contortions and expressions. He would have done well in the Silent Movie era in Mack Sennett comedies.

Phil and Marlo back in the day. They were a pretty pair back then.

R18, how about this picture? Would you have recognized Miss Yakhoob-Kairouz here?
