Oh I think the duchess of Kent is lovely and the polar opposite of Princess Michael of Kent. I do however get the impression she informally seperated from her husband the duke of Kent about 15 years ago. She'd never divorce but she'd also never trash the royals in public,. That's not her character. I know the husband of her daughter Helen Taylor had successful treatment for cancer about a decade or more ago I think? He's recovered now but they were very worried he wouldn't initially. I also read that James Mother Princess Alexandra is hugely respected and well liked within the Royal family. She's probably the Queens favourite outside of her immediate family. Alexandra is reliable and no drama queen fuss. Similar a little to Princess Anne in that she just gets on with it under the radar and quite happy. My royal watching etc probably entails too much too post in one night on datalounge!
