I bet this news will lead to more people recounting their experiences of abduction by UFO. However, it seems implausible that a UFO would snatch a person for a short period of time, run some tests, and then return the person back to the place from where they abducted him. What UFO is going to go through all that trouble to return the human safe and sound? If the aliens don't take you back to their home planet, then when they're done with you, they'll probably unload you in Asia or Africa. Just hope that the UFO is within a few feet of the ground when they kick your ass out.

I appreciate all of the stories about the aliens who are deactivating missiles in various countries (there's actually a National Press Conference about it on youtube). I hope they keep it up because it's nice thinking they have our backs, and that if maybe the big one gets launched they'll swoop in and save our sorry behinds.
Thanks guys, if you're reading here!

Robert Bigelow: You don't have to go anywhere.
Lara Logan: You can find it here? Where exactly?
Robert Bigelow: It's just like right under people's noses. Oh my gosh. Wow.
I'd really like Bigelow to give another interview and expand on this.

I've seen a UFO but I've never been abducted. It's such an interesting topic but Ufology is full of the most insane and ridiculous people. I was obsessed with aliens and UFOS until I was in my teens and read anything I could on the subject. Something is definitely going on with many people who say they've been abducted but is it aliens or something else? People claimed to be abducted by witches and faeries hundreds of years ago so it's nothing new.

I'm being abducted as I type!!!
I've seen two unidentifiable (by me) flying objects.
One was about six years ago in LA. I'd just come in & parked behind my bungalow & was walking to my door at about two a.m. and this very bright thing, bigger than a plane, eased across the sky, right to left abnormally quickly and then stopped, as if it were hovering in place and then swung like the seats on a ferris wheel. I stared at it for about twenty minutes and unsuccessfully tried to take a few photos and went inside and got on the LA subreddit where other people were already talking about it and we were all able to confirm that the rest of us weren't going insane.
The other "ufo" I saw was about fifteen years ago in White Sands. Very well may have been military aircraft. We were on the highway, one of very few cars, and this "cloud" that didn't quite blend in with the real clouds kept astride us maybe 400 ft east and 200 ft off the ground for a good 45 minutes before vanishing. I can't remember if we went to White Sands National Park before or after seeing this thing, but on the same day we went to the park, which purports to be a dry salt lake bed. The missile range is across the road from it. The 'sand' had the texture of sugar and having hiked through the place in shorts, afterward I developed an itchy rash on my ankles up to my knees for the next couple of days. Never encountered rash inducing 'sand' before. There were two options for hikes. One was supposed to take thirty minutes. The other about fifty minutes. We chose the longer of the two. There were no other people, barely any vegetation, no animals, just little placards posted into the itchy sugar "sand" announcing all the vegetation and animals we should be seeing but which did not exist. Needless to say, with basically nothing to look at, no uphill climbs, just bizarre empty landscape, we walked the trail pretty damn quickly. But when we got back to the car somehow it was over two hours after we'd parked......

I was driving down Boylston Street in Boston one night several years ago, and saw something in the sky that I thought was a UFO. It was low hanging, moved slowly, and just, actually, seemed to be suspended in the air. I was shocked. I pulled over to get a better look, and got out of my car, mesmerized. Lights were blinking on and off along the bottom. I stood there watching it for a while, until all the light started working, and it was a fucking blimp. If I had just driven along and not stopped, I would've thought I saw a UFO. Ergo, I tend to think that there is an explanation for most things we see.

Back when I was 4 or 5, my mom went back to work. She would get up at 4 am and leaves at around 4:45 for her RCA manufacturing job. At the beginning, it was new and exciting for your mother going to work, so I often heard her getting up and dressed and I would wander into the kitchen half asleep while she made her thermos of coffee and packed her lunch. I would help carry her stuff to the car in the still dark early morning hour and would wave goodbye from the side door stoop. One morning, I dozed off and heard the side door shut and her car start. I ran to the kitchen window which was a good 5x4 size to look out and wave goodbye. When I went to look out the window I was startled to see what looked to me like two little men creatures that were standing within the hedge of crocus bushes. They looked similar to the picture in r11, the round bubble head with big eyes, not as scary. They looked up at me, startled. I ran back, scared, to my bedroom. This was before Star Trek and the increased awareness of UFO's. I may of just been dreaming. I was dozy. What brought the memory back was when I was older watching a show of abductions and sitings and UFO's, they showed some renderings of the creatures people saw and they were quite similar. AND they resembled my little creatures I had seen! The bulbous head with big eyes, and mine were short (or crouching) as their heads did not reach the maybe 3 ft high ledge of the window. They had simpler little linen type robes. I do not know if it was real or not, but when it happened it seemed real. And to see a like image of the creatures I saw later in those shows. I'll never know. They never visited me again!!

I've never really believed in alien abductions. However when I was about 13 I had a missing time episode. It was weird and scary and it still sticks in my mind quite vividly. Many years later I happened to read an article on abductions, and was surprised because what a lot of people describe was exactly like that episode (except with aliens). No, I still don't think I was abducted, but I can understand how people who go through it want to fill in the gap.

by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 21, 2017 4:09 AM |
The missing time? It sounds crazy to say, and it's hard to describe and I've never really talked about it with anyone. Anyway, when I was a kid my family lived in the country. The roads near our house went mainly through woods. After school one day I went bike riding alone. I was riding home, less than a couple of miles from our house, and then there was just kind of a gap or blank space. It's hard to explain, but I sort of "awoke" a little down the road from where I thought I was. I had left in the afternoon, but when I "came to" it was dark. I still remember my mom being furious at me for getting home late and in the dark and missing dinner, and my parents not believing that I simply couldn't explain why I was so late. So you can see why it was so scary. It's strange, but 45 years later I can still point out the exact spot where I must have blacked out or whatever it was. The whole incident is still so vivid in my memory.
The commonality with abduction stories is that abductees sometimes report seeing animals before their lost time, and in my case I seem to remember seeing a jackrabbit right before the time gap.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 21, 2017 4:12 AM |
I had a missing time episode as a child that could be an abduction. I really don’t know for sure. I was in elementary school in Virginia. When schoolday ended I started walking home like I did every day. Across a grassy field toward the townhouse complex we lived in. Typically there were a dozen or so kids that would be walking there as well but I remember it being oddly deserted and wondering where all the other kids were. I got home, put my things away and decided to go into the woods nearby to see if the kids were there playing already. I got a few yards into the woods and stopped, overcome by a feeling to stop! keep looking down, don’t look up and I felt the presence of evil. I felt terrified. I was overwhelmed by the thought that I needed to turn around and run home which I did. Now here is where the missing time happened. I turned and ran home went inside and turned on the tv. This all happened within minutes in a seemingly unbroken sequence. But when I had entered the woods, it was right after school had ended. So no later than 3 pm and daylight. When I ran out of the woods into our house, it was dark. When I turned on the tv I was mad because my favorite show The Muppet Show was almost over. It came on at 7 or 7:30. My mom asked me where on earth I had been for hours. I was a latchkey kid and would normally be home long before my single mom got home from work. I just told her I was playing with the other kids. I never had seeen any of them. I remember sitting in front of the tv and looking out the sliding glass door to the patio and feeling the oddest feeling. And wondering what happened and where the time had gone.

[quote]My best friend saw a group of UFOs - it was in the newspaper the next day because the whole town saw them.
R39, a few years ago I had a similar experience. I spotted a UFO really close to the ground above the houses on our street. I asked me dad to look, he saw them too then it zipped off.
That night on the news they reported that many people had seen something flying above like that.
They never mentioned it again.
So yes, I'm confident I saw something because it was on the news but then again there was no explanation after the fact.

DL-ers, Don't kick my ass for adding this to OP's topic (you, either, OP) -
The recent passenger train derailment in Washington state: every morning while getting ready for work, I have the national news broadcasting on the TV to keep me up to date on overnight headlines, while keeping track of the time as well. During my preparations for the work day at that time (5:10a Pacific), a news bulletin interrupted the current story, with a male reporter announcing a train derailment in Washington state, where six people had perished in the crash. I listened to hear the end of the bulletin while finishing getting ready for work. It was then time to shut down the house, lock it up, and zoom to the office.
I arrived at the office at 8:00a that morning. Upon arriving in my office, I immediately turn on my desk radio, which is channeled to the news reports. Upon settling in at my desk for the day, a news bulletin had interrupted the current programming: " . . . a tragic train derailment occurred minutes ago in Washington state at approximately 7:40a Pacific time this morning, resulting in 7 casualties according to unconfirmed reports."
Upon hearing this news, I was immediately confused. I'd thought to myself: "Approximately, 7:40a this morning? What? This can't be. I'd known about this accident since around 5:00a this morning, and it was 6 casualties."
P.S. At 7:40a that morning, I was walking toward my office building, with no access to media of any type.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 21, 2017 5:16 AM |
R55, what time did the accident actually happen? Was it a mistake made by the second reporter, or did it actually happen at 7:40?

I'd awaken in the middle of the night. Upon turning over to try to become more comfortable to help me fall back to sleep, I'd witnessed a glowing, translucent green 'orb' floating near the floor, in the pitch darkness, immediately next to the bed, my side. My first thought upon observing this image, "Oh, no."
Upon awakening the next morning, I'd shared what I'd observed with my partner. His response, "I know. I saw it as well. I'd awaken to get some water; I always look back to look at you whenever I leave the room (you're in), and it was there."

R62 - I immediately turned away from it. I was frightened: they'd found us.
My partner and I had owned an older duplex at the time. Though we were long-term residents in our home, the other adjoining home's occupants (our renters) had passed in and out as if there were a revolving door for the home's entrance.
For a period of three months, the adjoining home was vacant. The two residences had shared an adjoining kitchen wall. While my partner and I were preparing dinner one evening, we'd heard sounds from the other home's kitchen: kitchen drawers slamming shut, cupboard doors slamming shut, water blasting in the kitchen sink, footsteps running up and down the unit's stairs. My partner believed new potential renters were viewing the unit (we had a real estate agent); he'd left our home to greet them, to see if they were in need of assistance with questions. He was away for mere minutes. Upon his return, he'd told me nobody was there, nobody was ever there. Then there was the unexplained strumming of my partner's guitar during the night, on its own, while still encased in its storage container. It was stored in a closet near our bedroom door.
It's now 20 years later, and we are now officially married; and there have been no other experiences of such during this time as described. Though we now reside in a far removed location, light years away our former home, I've always known it was only a matter of time before we're discovered. I had thought we were forgotten, safe; but my having prior knowledge of the recent train derailment tragedy, no matter how it was presented, tells me otherwise. (Items have been disappearing in our home, only to be discovered later in areas we'd never place them in. Doors I'd sworn I'd locked moments earlier have been discovered unlocked.)
Far earlier in my life, an out-of-state relative had telephoned to share they were moving to a city two hours away from our family; they were excited about their potential new home. I'd asked for its location because I was interested in viewing it. While my relative began to describe the home, I'd immediately interrupted them, saying, "I already know where it is and its description: a larger one-story home, brown, white trim, with a white picket fence, and it's surrounded by large trees. It's located on the east side of the road, set back from it. My relative's response: "Yes! How do you know this!"
I'd never been to that area.

I was 5 years old: I was awaken by my mother's cooking breakfast; the time on the clock read 5:45a. While my mother was preparing the morning meal, my father had readied a fire in our fireplace to warm the house for the day. I'd folded my legs beneath me to sit near the fireplace for warmth, the family cats curled up along with me. It was winter.
The back windows in that room, where the fireplace was, had draw-string shades to cover them; the roll-up type loaded with an internal spring in the rollers. The window shades immediately snapped to roll up with the slightest tug. However, that morning, the window shades had risen up, horizontally, on their own.
While playing with our cats, I looked over to the windows to see this happening, looking at the then exposed windows; I screamed and screamed: there stood a darkened silhouette of a man wearing a hat, a fedora. Upon hearing my screams, my father rushed into the room. He'd asked me what had happened, what had frightened me. I'd explained what I'd seen.
After comforting me, my father spoke to my mother, saying, "My father has died."
He left for the airport that morning.

I had an experience - I don't like to think about it and I have never talked about it to anyone before, but I guess this is a good forum to start with, so here goes ...
It was in the early 70s - the days when you would go out riding your bikes and your parents weren't bothered where you went or what you did as long as you were home for dinner.
I was out with a few friends riding our bikes around the outskirts of the neighbourhood - there was a large forest nearby. We were just mucking about until we heard some really high pitched metallic screeching sounds - kind of like weird machinery - coming from the forest. Being curious kids we went to check it out.
Halfway into the forest, we heard, but more sort of felt, a humming that got more and more intense - like bass from a stereo but kind of weird. My friends were scared and turned back, but I was still curious and kept moving further in. In the distance I saw a glowing light and the closer I got, the more intense the humming feeling was. I was getting scared and thought about turning back, but just felt a weird compulsion to keep going.
Suddenly, everything went black and I was no longer standing up and no longer in the woods. Everything felt freezing cold and I remember the hair going up on my arms. There was a strange smell and my mouth tasted very metallic. I felt unnerved and that's when I saw them approaching. They were back-lit, so I couldn't see any details but I felt terrified and started crying. Something touched my leg and it was cold. I wanted to move my leg away, but I was just frozen and couldn't move anything apart from my eyes. I wanted to die just to not be there anymore.
Then one of the shadows moved closer and I could see wrinkly greyish skin and giant eyes. He had no ears and a slit like mouth which didn't move, but I could hear him communicating telepathically to me. He leaned in closer and I heard him say. "The Dyatlov Pass is a fascinating topic - perhaps someone should start a thread about it on Datalounge"
Then I woke up in bed at home and realised it was all a wet dream.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | December 22, 2017 9:07 AM |
I've posted my experience twice on Datalounge before but I'll post it again anyway.
I grew up in a semi-rural neighborhood in Ohio (we had 30 acres, and our neighbors all had about 10). I was friends with the kids in the house immediately next to us, and they once recounted to me their experiences with UFOs (their mother told me that she had seen a cylinder-shaped UFO in the middle of the day, hovering close to the ground right outside their living room window, and their adult brother and sister told me they had seen UFOs on separate occasions as well). When I repeated these stories to my parents, they told me that these neighbors were crazy.
Anyway, these neighbors eventually moved away and a new set of neighbors moved in. One Easter Sunday, when I was in the 7th grade, the new neighbors called us up around 11 at night to ask us what was that strange light hovering over our woods. So we pulled up the blinds on the windows to see that, indeed, there was a brilliant white light hovering silently over our woods, about 500 feet away from the house. It just floated there completely quiet for about 15 minutes, then dipped down into the woods and disappeared, only to resurface a few minutes later. Although the light was brilliant, it didn't seem to illuminate anything around it, and I couldn't make out any kind of shape to it (I had gotten my binoculars to take a better look at it but all I could see was light). Finally, the light started to veer west at a snail's pace and eventually disappeared for good. Our neighbors told us they had called the police to report the sighting and were told that other people had reported seeing it as well.
Well, I was freaked out, so I had my little brother sleep in my room with me that night (he was in kindergarten at the time, but I didn't want to be alone!). I kept the lights on, and also kept the television on in my room for additional company. Anyway, I couldn't sleep, and around 2 o'clock I started channel surfing, and something caught my attention when I got to channel 17 -- there were these strange symbols written all over the screen, and something that sounded like a computer-synthesized voice started to speak. I didn't understand what it said, and I didn't try -- I couldn't turn the television off fast enough. My brother looked at me and said the symbols had looked "like the writing on the Ten Commandments" (as I said, it was Easter Sunday, and they had broadcasted The Ten Commandments earlier that night). So he had obviously seen the strange squiggles as well. The even weirder thing is that there was no TV station broadcasting on channel 17 in the area. I seriously thought at the time that the UFO we had seen earlier was trying to communicate on this unused channel.
I know this sounds like a bad science fiction story, but I'm getting chills thinking about it. This was the first and only time I've ever seen a UFO.

by Anonymous | reply 71 | December 23, 2017 2:47 AM |
No one can prove they've been abducted by a UFO, if the UFO is an alien ship I doubt they would need a living specimen, after all we are just biological data. For our behaviour, they'd probably abduct a group of us.
An alien spaceship would be too advanced for our radar, what makes anyone think we would see it with the naked eye?
I believe there is a high probability of extraterrestrial life. I haven't read anything on the likelihood of intelligent life beyond our planet, that I can remember. So won't comment.

I saw one. Around 4 or 5 years ago in the summer I was having drinks with friends in the backyard of a bar in Brooklyn. The bar and yard were packed to the gills with insufferable twats so as I sipped my drink and rolled my eyes I noticed a flashing blue orb way off in sky hovering about. As it began to hover slowly I realized this was not a plane, a tower, a blimp, helicopter or anything man made. It was a UFO. I nudged my friends and pointed and the 5 of us screamed and looked up in awe.. A friend of mine was able to take a video of it before it zoomed away.

I saw a weird saucer shaped object with red and blue lights while driving through southern Colorado a few years ago.

"Have You Ever Seen or Been Abducted By A UFO?"
Not yet, abducted, that is -
One morning, while sitting on my deck, enjoying an early-morning cup of coffee, I saw two 'crafts' lacing perpendicular, transparent webs across the horizon/sky. Allow me to explain:
My deck has a western exposure to the sloping lawn, which is immediately hit by the rising, bright sunlight. When daylight breaks, deer exited the woods to find food, water, warm up in the sunlight, chase each other, etc. Nice way to begin the day. During these hours, in the summer, I wear polarized lenses, so I can better see through the sunlight what's taking place in my backyard, to better see the type of wildlife exiting the trees (deer, hawks, eagles, etc.) in the mornings.
One morning, as I watched the tree line for the awakening and arrival of the usual local wildlife, I looked toward the western horizon/sky: there I saw two objects lacing transparent, perpendicular webbing across the sky, violet in coloring. Upon removing my sunglasses (polarized), in order to get a better look at the horizon/sky, the crafts and the transparent webbing had disappeared.

If one descended to abduct me, I would be overjoyed to leave this crappy planet with its rude people.

I believe most, if not all, abductions are coping mechanisms for rape where victims are too ashamed and traumatized by being raped by other humans and come up with the story of being probed by monstrous aliens instead.
I mean, why would aliens let victims go to tell the tale of us being lab rats for them?

I have no idea, but we humans occasionally catch and release other animals.
