New photos of the London Spy star
Ew.

I'll never forget seeing his muscular ass in "London Spy", he let Ben Whishaw grab all over it. Quite hot.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 7, 2017 5:32 PM |
His hands are HUGE.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 7, 2017 5:33 PM |
Looks like he might have a nice, hairy anus
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 7, 2017 5:52 PM |
His nose looks so long in OP's pic. The pic below is from London Spy.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 7, 2017 8:10 PM |
Verificatia of sizemeat?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 7, 2017 9:14 PM |
He's one of the leads in Alias Grace on Netflix. It's a rather subdued part, though, and no clothing removal. (I'm pretty sure he's wearing a wig for the role and a bad one at that. The hairline goes straight across the top of his forehead like they put it on with a ruler. Anyway, he's fine; the wig is not.) Is he still dating Prince Harry's ex Cressida Bonas?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 7, 2017 10:02 PM |
He was great in London Spy (for the short while he was in it, that is).
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 7, 2017 10:57 PM |
Beautiful?!
Have you been to an oculist lately?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 7, 2017 11:30 PM |
you are so wrong r10. He’s definitely beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 12, 2018 9:10 PM |
You bumped this 6 month old thread to say that r11.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 12, 2018 9:13 PM |
His whole hairy body hangs off those cheekbones!

Yes, Edward deserves praise for doing that sex scene with Ben.

Debate the rest of him. But don’t try to deny The beauty of that ass.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 12, 2018 9:27 PM |
R12, yeah, I was looking for threads to maybe learn more about him. But since there is no real gossip around might as well discuss his looks in the meantime.

Interview where he talks about his role in London Spy
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 12, 2018 10:14 PM |
[quote]WEISS: I read that you think it’s important to maintain a certain air of mystery as an actor. Can you tell me a little bit about that?
[quote]HOLCROFT: I don’t think it’s a new concept. I should think most actors probably think this, but I know that when I watch actors, the actors who I know least about I buy into more because I can imagine them as the character. It’s as simple as that. If you lead a very high profile life—and of course, it’s easy to say this, and if you become incredibly famous because of your work some of that is unavoidable—but if you can do as much as you can to keep away from some of that limelight then you just help yourself when it comes to your work. You have a blank canvas, as it were, to work with, rather than people knowing a whole bunch about your life or what you get up to, what you had for breakfast. Everyone is different, and each to their own, as they say, but for me that’s what I would like to try and establish.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 12, 2018 10:29 PM |
his nose gives his face character, I hope he never lets a plastic surgeon touch it.

by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 13, 2018 3:48 AM |
His nose is as prominent as Freddy Mercury's teeth.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 13, 2018 7:35 AM |
He was believable as "hot" in London Spy but his body did most of the work.
His face is quite horsey in other contexts.

BBC got complaints over this scene in London Spy. I don’t think anyone would have cared to complain had it been a straight couple.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 13, 2018 10:51 AM |
He went to boarding school and played the girl parts in school plays lol. He has a good sense of humor about it though.
[quote]WEISS: Were you acting at all when you were in boarding school?
[quote]HOLCROFT: No, no. God no. I did a tiny, tiny bit. I used to play girls because I had killer legs. [both laugh] No, I didn’t. I was terrible but I looked the youngest so I played the odd woman, but in short, I never had the dream of being an actor until I was at least 22.
[quote]WEISS: What was your first role then?
[quote]HOLCROFT: In my whole life? I was at school when I was 12 and I played Curley’s wife in John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, who gets killed by the lead character, Lenny. She gets murdered. So I was a girl who got murdered! [laughs] They obviously saw me doing big, big things.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 13, 2018 10:56 AM |
My only complaint is that that scene was not long enough; and there should have been more like it.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 13, 2018 10:58 AM |
Beautiful? He looks like something that just escaped from a mental ward.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 13, 2018 12:06 PM |
From a 2017 interview:
[quote]He’s a good looking chap with chiselled cheek bones and he’s currently single but dating, and mentions a recent date with a girl to see Wonder Woman. As our conversation flits between movies, he was disappointed with the lack of diversity of the Amazonian women in Wonder Woman.
He is careful to say all the right things.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 13, 2018 1:17 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 13, 2018 4:26 PM |
Does he have an official instagram or Twitter? So far I’ve only found fan accounts.
I guess he really means it when he says he wants to stay “mysterious” lol

Thanks, R54.
It seems like it was just one complaint.
And they decided not to investigate because it was broadcast at the appropriate time of night and they don't discriminate between gay vs. straight scenes.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 13, 2018 5:58 PM |
From what I gather he had a Twitter and Instagram account but killed them after wrapping London Spy because there were two or three London Spy bts pictures floating around that came from his account.
There is a Twitter fan account that has a number of partying pics from when he was younger and unless fans stalk his friends' accounts they came from his.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 13, 2018 6:16 PM |
He was great in Alias Grace and looked beautiful, despite the silly wig.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 13, 2018 6:38 PM |
In another thread someone said he was engaged to a woman a year before London Spy aired. But didn’t elaborate. So probably straight then?
by Anonymous | reply 59 | June 13, 2018 6:41 PM |
He has no new projects lined up on his IMDb. What’s going on with that!? I know he originally wanted to be a musician, so is he taking a break from acting to focus on his music perhaps? He does have a few songs out on SoundCloud. We seem to have some people “in the know” visiting threads about him, so spill the beans people!

R69 There's some treats in being a weedy movie star— being able to pash off with a hunky hetero who wouldn't touch you IRL.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | June 15, 2018 12:42 AM |
@r73 true, but are we sure Holcroft is a hetero though?
by Anonymous | reply 74 | June 15, 2018 12:58 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 75 | June 15, 2018 1:14 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 89 | June 23, 2018 4:11 PM |
His nose is as extreme as Christopher Eccleston's.
I score him a 6 compared to Cavill's 10.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | June 23, 2018 8:37 PM |
Cavill is good looking, but somewhat boring looks wise imo, I prefer Holcroft.

by Anonymous | reply 107 | June 24, 2018 9:52 PM |

Interview from April 2016:
Excerpts:
SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS
The British actor Edward Holcroft tells us what he learned from his father, what’s top of his bucket list, and why he’d need extra protection for his nose if he ever found himself halfway up Everest.
Is there something about you, or a challenge that you have faced, that makes where you are today more difficult?
My nose. I have a great, big nose. I am still very self-conscious about it. When I walk in a room it is the first thing I can see everyone look at.
What do you want to do before you die?
Climb Everest. I would love to do it. I was obsessed with it when I was younger, I used to have posters of it on my wall at school. I used to read so many books on it. I was probably more obsessed with the idea rather than the actual reality of climbing it, but I still watch documentaries on it. If I could have a realistic opportunity to climb it, I would love to. I would have to take extra clothing for my nose.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | June 24, 2018 10:20 PM |
[quote]My nose. I have a great, big nose. I am still very self-conscious about it. When I walk in a room it is the first thing I can see everyone look at.
For fuck sake, he's not Cyrano de Bergerac. Who the fuck immediately looks at his nose when he walks in? He has gorgeous eyes and he's a really good-looking guy.
Walk into my room, babe. I won't even notice you have a nose.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | June 24, 2018 10:26 PM |
Too bad he doesn’t have his instagram account anymore. He has disappeared from social media completely.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | June 24, 2018 10:47 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 116 | June 24, 2018 11:00 PM |
He has a sense of humor at least. Where did you get the screenshot from R116? Got any more?
by Anonymous | reply 117 | June 24, 2018 11:12 PM |
I Googled "EdHolcroft" and "Twitter". The tweets were from when he did a film named Vampire Academy. Young cast so a lot of tweeting went on.

He sounds quite bitchy. Are we sure he isn't gay?
by Anonymous | reply 121 | June 24, 2018 11:40 PM |
R121 No credible rumors of that so far. But there is something about his eyes, the open expression in them in some photos that is typical of gay men, like the photo below. Still, I think he is probably straight.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | June 24, 2018 11:50 PM |
He is a bit of a chameleon imo, switching between looking straight or gay, or average to hot with each photo. I love the photo below though.

by Anonymous | reply 124 | June 25, 2018 10:43 AM |
^or even if he had been engaged but never married, you’d think it would be mentioned in all these “Everything you need to know about Cressida Bonas new boyfriend” articles that came out in 2015.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | June 25, 2018 11:05 AM |
I think the original poster who said he was engaged in 2014/2015 might have gotten their info mixed up. They never really elaborated on this anyway.

Henry Cavill has it too. We're not used to beautifully-modulated speaking voices in this country.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | June 30, 2018 12:25 AM |
It's true that the British have a lot of actors with great voices, R139.
However, the previous generations of American actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood used to have distinctive voices -- eg. Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, James Stewart, etc.
Unfortunately for some reason the younger American actors of today don't have the memorable voices of American actors of the past.

by Anonymous | reply 141 | June 30, 2018 12:40 AM |
Dear R140, I wish I could agree with you... and frankly, as much I enjoyed Kate, she did have a strong twang.
I'm still trying to think of some examples so I went to Google and all it gave me were British actors and Negro-American actors.
Paul Muni, perhaps? But it was fake wasn't it?
Anne Baxter, perhaps? I think there's a US doco-maker who uses her (or her mimic).
Bogart was gangsterish, raspish and unfriendly; Stewart was dithery rabbit.
Yul Brynner was foreign.
I'm still trying to think of some examples.....
