I started using Google Music on my Moto GREAT because for some reason, iHeartRadio isn't supported. I would enter, say, a Barbra song and the playlist was playing this male voice, which I found enchanting. To my surprise, it was Jason Gould. I find him sexy too!

I met his father, Elliot Gould. at a private house party, and he's one of the nicest and most charismatic celebrities I've encountered. Just an amazing personality. He's not someone who was ever on my radar, but he really charmed me. I can definitely see why Barbra married him.

I know a few gay people who've met Jason, and they all have good things to say about him. The general consensus is that he's very shy and sweet. He's also guarded and shies away from talking about his mother. He wants you to deal with him as "Jason" and not as Barbra Streisand's son.

So I get why Babs married Gould, but WTF did he marry her! He had to know she was a horrible person by the time they married and he was just as famous as her at time so I don't think it was for her fame and fortune. It sure as hell couldn't have been for her looks.

Many years ago I was walking on W 27th nearing 7th Avenue, late afternoon in spring. Jason was walking up 7th Avenue. We looked at each other and I guess he realized from my expression that I recognized him. He gave a knowing smile, I smiled back and we both gave each other a quick wave hello. He seemed like a really sweet guy and it was a wonderfully human few seconds.

I've seen him on Tinder but we didn't match, which is unfortunate because I had already spent his mothers' hundreds of millions of dollars in my head!

Jason’s voice is far better than Josh Groban. Jason’s voice is naturally beautiful and it comes from the heart. Groban’s voice is too trained. It’s technically excellent but there is no emotion behind it.

That TV show with Elliott Gould and Linda Lavin as the parents is so stupid and unrealistic. He looks kind of sloppy on that show. The doctor son is hot, the other one is cute, in a charming sort of way.

Jason Gould seems like a decent enough guy, polite, well-mannered, never in trouble and without scandal. Does he work? He doesn't appear to do anything. I think Jason Gould seems to serve as a good example of Streisand and Gould Snrs characters. They clearly raised him with a good attitude and realistic outlook. It’s evident he can sing and his performance in Prince of Tides was good. But he’s never shamelessly tried to build some kind of trashy bandwagon persona or celebrity for himself. He could have been fast tracked to an A List career if he wanted. Plenty of agents and producers in Hollywood want to propel star off spring. Look at the big names we have now whose parents were stars.

Jason gets along better with Barbra than he used to. They were frequently at odds up until about 10 years ago. He used to complain about his mother to Natalie Cole. I think she finally came to terms with the fact that he wasn't going to be a big success at anything, so she started appreciating his nice qualities.

There could be many reasons he was hesitant to pursue a singing career. Some people have real stage fright, and performing is scary for them...like walking on the edge of a high rooftop. Or, he might be completely intimidated by being compared to his mother, which, given that she's about the most famous and celebrated American singer EVER, is completely understandable. Or, maybe he wasn't comfortable being out of the closet when he was in his 20's, 30s, whatever...and knew being in the public eye as an entertainer would bring up a lot of talk and speculation about his sexual orientation.

I have no problem with filthy rich people doing nothing but enjoying themselves. There's something somewhat unbalanced about them taking jobs away from people who really need careers, music gigs, etc. So if he wants to lie low....FINE.

Jason is not "filthy rich." He lives off a trust fund. He won't become filthy rich until Mother dies, and going by her mother - Streisand won't go until at least 2036. Jason will be 70.

He won't get everything when Barbra goes. She's very philharmonic, and will probably leave half to her favorite charities. I bet the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai gets a good chunk of it. At last count, she had more than $600 million. He'll get at least $100 million, so he'll be more than okay.

R83, Her estate won't be a pie of cash divided among her interests. Things simply are not done that way.

The majority of Babs money will be delivered to Jason in a revocable trust mostly in securities - for tax reasons. Her foundation takes care of any philharmonic donations. She probably keeps the foundation cash heavy for HER tax issues.

In other words, Jason will inherit cash, but most of it will be in securities that produce income, say 200-500K/year. The trust part will pay taxes on capital gains.

Barbra will not leave the bulk of her money to Jason. He's already in his fifties, isn't married and has no children.

Whenever I've seen Jason--I've lived in LA and have seen him around dozens of times--he seems like he just....drifts. No drive, no ambition, just piddles a little in this and little in that. Sort of friendly I guess though a little cold to most people. I imagine he's quite shy but it's just weird to me that he never found anything--ANYTHING--in all these years that he has a passion for. He just coasts. Of course, he was spoiled rotten growing up and has money to burn. He takes no care at all with his looks. Wears his hair in an extremely unattractive, long style. Does not take care of his body (he is not built, despite what the above poster said), and does not have youthful, glowing skin at all. He is pale and if he weren't Streisand's son you'd think he didn't have a dime to his name.

He's a nice guy but very wary of being used for his Mother who is even more shy than he is. I think you're way low in assuming he's inheriting a hundred million or so. Her royalties will remains in the tens of millions for decades and she's already worth at least three quarters of a billion dollars. Plus, she's BARBRA!

Jason's version of Nature Boy is my favorite -- it's moody, jazzy, and soaring -- he is a very talented singer.
