These are making a comeback. Thoughts?

Oh, MUST they?!

The vintage Polo bear tees have been back in for a while among RL collectors.
I think they are whimsical. A little whimsy is nice. Would I pay $400 for a sweater with one on it? No, I am poor.

i adore RL clothes, designs ect.
but alas, not in MY budget.

I worked for Polo when they were popular. I love RL's clothes, but the bears didn't do it for me. I hated them then, hate them now. THey're not cute, they're not subversive, they're not..anything. If some people like them, fine, let them get them. I have no interest. THey're just stupid.

Cute! I like the one in a smoking jacket and holding a martini that comes out at Christmas time.

I was wearing a pair of RL Bear boxers when I broke my leg in 14 places and shattered my ankle. I wouldn't let the ER nurses cut them off of me to prep for surgery, and instead withstood several minutes of excruciating pain as we manoeuvred them off of my mangled leg. Yes, I like the RL Bears.

The model is beautiful.
The sweater is ludicrous.

They've BEEN back and collectors will pay a ton for them.

I still have my RL teddy pillow cases from college. They're in one of the guest rooms and people love them.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 13, 2017 7:03 AM |
That sweater is just embarrassing.

The r11 sweater is adorable.

No. Not for adults.
Or if you're going to, you might as well buy yourself a Jenny Kee koala 'sweater', vintage 1982. (Like the one Princess Di wore)

It's not really a bear for kids either. Why would Lauren come up with something like this? It doesn't seem like his style.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 13, 2017 5:23 PM |
Not after the age of 10.

There are so many old white men who are afraid to stand out. That's why they have the most boring haircuts, boring shirts, boring pants, boring shoes. Just boring people.

These are marketed to HAGS. And they'll tell you this gift is an heirloom.

R7 Why?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 23, 2017 3:04 AM |
Fucking basic.
For trashy fraus that wear Pandora.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 23, 2017 3:33 AM |
These we're popular? I don't remember them
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 23, 2017 3:43 AM |
I hate to admit it, but I love them. I have a dozen dessert plates from the 80's with them on them. Guests love them more than my grandmother's Flora Danica.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 23, 2017 3:59 AM |
They're adorable and even better in cashmere.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 23, 2017 1:44 PM |
The sexy, confident guys who should wear these won't. It's the annoying try-hards who are desperate for attention--good or bad--who will wear them.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 23, 2017 2:18 PM |
Mine are in a box. Vintage. Shall I get them out for fall.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 23, 2017 2:34 PM |
R28 I'm sexy and confident, and I LOVE mine

I'll buy one for each of my Humboldt FIgurines
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 25, 2017 10:15 AM |

Does anybody else think that the "smokeybear" ad on DL is hilarious on a thread about RL teddy bear sweaters?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 25, 2017 11:27 AM |
Ralph Lauren is a putz. He willing dressed that skank, Melania Trump, so gives a FUCK about him now?
